For the unaware, Messi and Argentina won the FIFA World Cup 2022 against the reigning champion France on penalties.

Per a report, these are not regular iPhones. Designed by iDesign, the handsets are adorned with 24-karat gold.

The devices are also engraved with each player’s name, jersey, and Argentinian logo.

As per a report in The Sun, the special gold devices have each player’s names, jersey numbers and the Argentinian logo engraved on them. The report also states that Messi had the phones delivered to his apartment over the weekend.

The publication’s source told them that Messi had intended to do something ‘special and blingy’ to celebrate the moment. “He got in touch with entrepreneur Ben Lyons and they came up with the design together,” the publication’s source added.

According to the report, the purchase cost him a total of EUR 175,000 or roughly Rs 1.53 crores, which is a miniscule amount for the footballer who is reported to have upwards of $100 million (Rs 820 crores approx) in wealth.

Samsung is working on its other smartphones after it launched the Galaxy S23 series. The Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G have been in rumors for a long time now.

Both these smartphones were listed on many certifications websites indicating that their launch is nearing.

Samsung had even listed the A54 5G smartphone on its official website in the spare parts section.

The smartphone had scored a repairability score of 8.4 which is greater than Galaxy S23 Ultra.

A reliable tipster Steve who is popularly known as OnLeaks has revealed the launch date for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A series smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G Launch Date Revealed

The tipster revealed in a tweet that both these smartphones are set to launch globally on March 15, 2023.

It is unclear whether Samsung will launch the smartphones on the same date in India. The Korean smartphone giant had skipped Galaxy A74 5G to make its way for Galaxy S23 fe we expect the Galaxy A54 5G to be priced well to boost the number of sales of the Galaxy A series.

The tipster adds that even though he won’t vouch for 100% for the source, it is quite a reliable source that revealed the launch date.

It is yet to determine whether Samsung will hold any unpacked events to launch the latest Galaxy A series smartphones.

As for the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy A54 is likely to ship with a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.18 aperture and OIS support, a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP macro lens. The phone will have a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Samsung Galaxy A34 5G is expected to flaunt a 6.6-inch Full HD+ sAMOLED display with a 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper.

Speculations are rife that the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Moving to optics, the Samsung Galaxy A34 has a triple camera setup on the back with a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture.

The phone has a 13MP snapper on the front for selfies. The phone is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support and boot Android 13 OS out of the box.

Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 5G smartphones are likely to feature a similar camera module design as the recently launched flagship Galaxy S23 series.

The design renders cited showed vertically aligned circular camera modules and it also hinted that the Galaxy A34 model might launch with a notch display.

There might be a wider specs gap between the two phones this year, with the Galaxy A34 supposedly featuring a MediaTek MT6877V SoC and the Galaxy A54 using an Exynos 1380 chipset.

The Galaxy A34 is said to be offered in two storage variants – 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB, the former of which is expected to cost between EUR 410 (roughly Rs. 36,200) and EUR 430 (roughly Rs. 38,000), while the 256GB model could cost between EUR 470 (roughly Rs. 41,500) and EUR 490 (roughly Rs. 43,300).

Recently, Vivo’s sub-brand iqoo has also launched a smartphone with the same chipset, but the benchmark scores of Vivo V27 Pro are better. This means you get better performance with Vivo V27 Pro 5G.

The smartphone comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It will be available in 3 storage variants, and it doesn’t have a micro SD card slot.

Coming to the software, the Vivo V27 Pro 5G runs Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13. The device comes with a little bloatware but that can be deleted as per your needs.

This is the latest V27-series model from the company after the vanilla Vivo V27 and Vivo V27 Pro that debuted in India on March 1st.

The Vivo V27e comes as a premium mid-range offering but is limited to 4G network connectivity.
