Realme has finally started teasing its upcoming C-series smartphone – the Realme C55. Realme Vice President took it to social media channels to share the first teaser for the upcoming Realme C55.

The teaser image shared by the company executive showcases the smartphone in the Sunshower colour option.

In another development, tipster Paras Guglani has claimed that the Realme C55 will make its global debut on March 7 in global markets.

Realme C55 is expected to be the company’s upcoming C-series offering and will be the brand’s first phone to feature iPhone 14-like Dynamic Island that expands for notifications like charging and other notifications.

To recall, the unboxing video revealed that the Realme C55 will sport a 90Hz LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution, and a centered punch hole notch.

The display will measure 6.52 inches diagonally as revealed in unboxing video. The smartphone will offer Mini Capsule feature which will be activated while charging.

The Realme C55 will offer a dual-rear camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary shooter, a 2MP auxiliary sensor, and an LED flash. The selfies and video calls on the device will be taken care of by an 8MP front shooter.

As per the tipster, the Realme C55 could feature a 64-megapixel AI Camera as its primary sensor among the likely dual rear camera setup of the device. The model is expected to launch in a single configuration of 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, according to the leak, which added that the upcoming Realme C55 may also feature 16GB Dynamic RAM.

Tipped to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, the rumoured Realme C55 is also expected to support 33W SUPERVOOC charging and come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery.

Attached to the tweet, is a leaked promotional image of the Realme C55 handset, which suggests that the device will be available in a Sunshower colour.

Another leak by Price Baba suggests that the Realme C55 smartphone will also be available in a Black colour variant.

The second leak also offered design renders of the upcoming smartphone, and suggests that the Realme C55 may be the company’s first C-series phone with a punch-hole display.
As seen in the leaked images cited in the report, the back of the model mostly has a matte finish with only a glossy bit around the dual-camera unit.
The handset is also seen sporting a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

A promotional video, recently leaked by the same tipster, also showed the two separate rear camera modules of the purported Realme C55.
The short 10-second clip also showed the power button on the left edge of the device as having a fingerprint scanner.
Overall, the design appears similar to that of the Redmi 10 4G that launched in February 2022.

Another earlier leak from YouTuber Official Complete Selular, cited in a report by Gizmochina suggests a lot of important specifications of the Realme C55, which is said to have a thick top and bottom bezel, with a USB Type-C port at the bottom with a 3.5mm audio jack and speaker grille.

This report suggested that the Realme C55 will feature a 6.52-inch LCD display with Full-HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It was also the first to hint that the device will likely be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor and could come with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage.

The smartphone was also expected to feature a dual-rear camera system in this report led by a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor, paired with an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The report added that the phone is expected to run Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13.

Ans) Since the only horizontal foldable phone that sells in India right now is the Galaxy Z Fold 4 — that will be the point of reference or comparison with the Tecno Phantom V Fold.
So, at first glance, you see the outer screen, which is a rather conventional one.
Galaxy Fold 4 has a tall screen, and since it is a thick phone, you still can’t use it as a traditional candy-bar smartphone.
However, with the Phantom V Fold, the phone felt light and manageable in the hand for the first time experience.
While folded, it feels as if its a normal 6.4” phone, and also because the phone is relatively slim for a foldable.
As for the specs, the front screen is a 120Hz LTPO AMOLED, featuring a 32MP centre-aligned hole punch at the top.
So, no cost-cutting here, which is great.

Tecno has used some textured sort of finish at the back of the phone, and it is definitely not leather.
I mean, I could be wrong, but whatever they have used here, it gives a satisfying feeling in the hand along with a reassuring grip. There’s a circular camera housing featuring three lenses — 50MP primary, 50MP telephoto and 13MP ultra-wide.
Moving on to the inside, the Tecno Phantom V Fold features a large 7.85” 2K LTPO AMOLED display, which honestly looks gorgeous.
It is fast, it is responsive, it is vibrant, there’s barely any gap between both the screens when the phone is shut and the crease is non-existent.
And this is again, something that I have lately noticed with many other foldables, such as the Honor Magic Vs or the OPPO Find N2, that the crease is non-existent. However, while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a noticeable crease, what it does best over all the other foldables is able to prop itself on a flat surface, even at extreme angles.
Now, I am not complaining about the Phantom V Fold’s hinge mechanism.
In fact, the phone’s hinge feels solid and every time I shut the phone, that satisfying snap is always there. But, doing something simple like propping the Tecno foldable at a 90-degree angle is just not possible. Either the phone goes flat, or it snaps shut. Now, Tecno says, the company will be providing a case that will let users prop the phone like a laptop on a table, but without the case, just know, that it is not possible.
On the inside also, there’s a corner-aligned 16MP hole-punch camera which I believe should be okay for video calls. Tecno has also got us covered in providing the rest of the top-notch specs.
Things such as a Dimesnity 9000+ SoC under the hood, 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, 5,000mAh battery and most importantly, HiOS 13 atop Android 13, which the company claims has about 1000 popular apps optimised for the phone. Out of which, 90 per cent of which are optimised to work perfectly fine in multi-window and split-screen modes.
Of course, tall claims, but something that I will only check first and comment on later. For now, I can say that in terms of looks and responsiveness, HiOS 13 is fine.

Realme advertises that a 30-second charge of the GT3, for example, is enough for a two-hour call, three hours of music listening, or 40 minutes of video streaming.

Fast charging is an extremely popular feature in smartphones these days that allows users to charge their devices much quicker than it would normally take.

Not all products or brands use a similar type of fast charging, and not all chargers assist all the different standards.

According to Redmi’s translated Weibo post, the new charging technology is named “300W Immortal Second Charger,” which indicates that it could be an alternative charging technology.

Further information about the charging technology will be revealed in time by the company.
“This is the 300W charging test of the Note 12 Pro+ magic version,” the post reads.

The Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition, available only in China, is the company’s fastest charging smartphone to date.

The Redmi 300W fast charging solution is by far the fastest solution on the market. It is the theoretical max speed the charger and the battery can reach.

It’s possible the customised Redmi Note 12 Discovery edition in the video is capping out the speed for safety reasons.

The adapter itself comes with Double GaN technology and has “more than 50 safety protections.” Despite this, the charger retains a small size.

Neither Xiaomi nor Redmi have mentioned when the 300W fast charging solution will be made available to customers.

But we believe, the solution will be first available in China and later rollout globally. Since the tech is from Redmi, there are high chances, it might first come on a Note series model. We should learn more details about the new charging solution soon.

FAQ’s on Redmi 300 W Charging Tech

1) Redmi’s 300W charging tech can fully charge your phone in less than 5 minutes, but how fast will it kill the battery?

Ans) The newest feat was announced on Weibo ,while there is no announced smartphone that supports 300W charging, Redmi modified a Note 12 Discovery Edition smartphone to demonstrated this technology.

However, it doesn’t end there because in order to make this possible, quite a lot of work went into it.

The matter materials also had to be modified, along with charging structure, and based on machine translation, the company also used “50 safety protection items” in the Double GaN adapter to finally hit the 300W mark.

As you would expect, 300W is a lot of power to charge a smartphone and the Redmi phone managed to reach 50% in less than three minutes, with a 100% charge possible in less than 5 minutes.

The company even shared a video that shows that the phone reaches a peak power of 290.6W, which is expected considering hitting a sustained 300W power could have caused some damage and is difficult to sustain that amount of power, as well.

Now, coming back to earth for a second. 300W charging speed is as impressive as it gets.
However, Redmi claims to have used some additional tech to ensure that everything is working as smooth as possible.

All of this power is ultimate bad for the phone itself. Thankfully, Realme has not mentioned anything about bringing this technology to mainstream.

So, until that happens, we are still stuck with 240W being the highest, which, seems bonkers, to be honest.

A lot of us are more than happy with max 45W charging but anything above that seems overkill .
