Apple has officially shared the full schedule for WWDC 2025, after first announcing the event back in March. Things kick off with the main keynote on June 9 at 10 a.m. PDT and members of the press have been invited to attend in person. Here’s everything we know.

Apple Keynote – June 9, 10 a.m. PDT

Apple says, WWDC25 kicks off with a first look at the groundbreaking updates coming to Apple platforms. The Keynote will be available to stream on apple.com, the Apple TV app, and the Apple YouTube channel. On-demand playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream.”

This keynote is expected to unveil major updates across Apple’s software lineup.

Platforms State of the Union – June 9, 1 p.m. PDT

Right after the keynote, Apple will host its Platforms State of the Union.

Apple says, “Following the Keynote, the Platforms State of the Union will take a deeper dive into the new tools that will further empower Apple developers, including advances across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS. The Platforms State of the Union will be available to stream on the Apple Developer app, website, and Apple Developer YouTube channel. On-demand playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream.”

WWDC 2025 will also feature over 100 technical sessions, group and one-on-one labs, and plenty of other developer-focused content throughout the week.

Apple Will Let Developers Build with Its Own AI Models

Meanwhile, a new Bloomberg report reveals key details about what to expect from the event. According to a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will use WWDC 2025 to announce that third-party developers will now be able to build with its Apple Intelligence AI models.

A new software development kit (SDK) and related frameworks will let apps tap into the same large language models that Apple uses across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

Up until now, developers only had access to limited Apple AI tools like Genmoji, Image Playground, and the system-wide Writing Tools. They couldn’t work directly with Apple’s core AI models.

That’s about to change. Gurman says Apple will first open access to on-device, smaller versions of its model, not the more powerful cloud-based ones, which still run on Apple’s servers. This means developers can expect faster, more private AI interactions, though they may not be as advanced as what cloud processing offers.

Gurman also points out this move could give Apple a financial boost. With App Store revenue facing regulatory challenges, giving developers access to Apple Intelligence could open up new monetisation opportunities.

“A surge in apps may also have a financial benefit. Apple takes a cut of revenue for subscriptions within apps themselves. But the App Store is under pressure from regulators globally. A US judge ruled last month that Apple must allow developers to steer customers to the web to complete purchases, bypassing the company’s revenue-sharing system. A wave of new apps could soften the blow of losing out on some current sales,” Gurman writes.

Gurman believes Apple is most likely thinking it can replicate what happened with the App Store’s early success with this move.

FAQs

Google’s AI Shopping Assistant Can Now Virtually Try On Clothes and Buy Them for You

0

Highlights

  • Google’s AI Try-On tool lets users upload photos to see how clothes fit, using generative AI and the Shopping Graph database.
  • The “buy for me” feature allows Gemini AI to track prices, notify users and complete purchases using saved payment details.
  • The virtual try-on tool is already live in Search Labs (U.S.), while the “buy for me” feature is set to launch in the coming months.

Google is taking online shopping to the next level with new AI-powered features that were just announced at Google I/O 2025. The latest update to Google AI Mode introduces two major additions, which are a virtual Try-On tool for clothes and a “buy for me” option that can handle purchases automatically. Here’s what we know.

Google’s Virtual Try-On Tool

The idea of trying on clothes virtually isn’t new, but generative AI is making it far more realistic. Google’s new virtual Try-On feature uses its custom image generation model to show you how clothes might look on your body.

According to Google, the model understands the way clothes “fold and fall on skin,” giving you a much more accurate preview. All you need to do is upload a photo and the AI will generate an image of you wearing the item.

This feature is powered by Google’s Shopping Graph, which includes access to 50 billion products online. It works a lot like an AI image prompt, giving you a near-instant visual of how a specific outfit could look on you.

Virtual try-ons are now available in the U.S. through Search Labs.

Google Introduces “Buy For Me” Feature

The second big update is all about convenience.

Google is adding a feature called “buy for me” that lets its AI assistant handle the entire checkout process. After you’ve set a price alert on a product, Gemini (Google’s AI assistant) will notify you when that price is hit. You can then choose the “buy for me” option and let the AI take care of the rest.

It will use your saved card and personal details to complete the purchase without needing to visit the store’s website.

This shopping experience is designed to be more conversational. Instead of just searching for a product, you can tell the AI what you’re looking for, whether it’s style, colour, size or type, and that’s it. It will suggest products, help you compare options and even refine suggestions based on your feedback.

It’s like having your own personal shopping assistant, powered by Gemini and the Shopping Graph.

Rollout Timeline

Google says the updated AI Mode and the “buy for me” feature will roll out “in the coming months.” The virtual try-on tool, however, is already live in Search Labs for users in the U.S.

FAQs

Q1. How does Google’s virtual try-on tool work?

Answer. Google’s virtual try-on feature uses generative AI to show users how clothes fit by analyzing how fabric folds and falls on the skin using custom image generation.

Q2. What is the “buy for me” feature in Google AI Shopping?

Answer. The “buy for me” feature allows Gemini AI to track product prices, send alerts when they drop, and complete purchases automatically using saved payment details.

Q3. When will these AI-powered shopping features be available?

Answer. The virtual try-on tool is already live in Search Labs (U.S.), while the “buy for me” feature is set to roll out in the coming months.

Google Introduces New ‘AI Mode’ Turns Search Into a Chatbot-Like Experience

0

Highlights

  • Google’s new AI Mode turns Search into a chatbot-like tool, providing direct AI-generated answers and follow-up question support.
  • The AI Mode synthesises information, connects dots and offers interactive responses for complex queries.
  • Features like Project Mariner for autonomous tasks, Deep Search for detailed queries and Search Live for real-time assistance are also coming.

At the recent Google I/O developer conference 2025, Google announced a new feature called AI Mode, which completely changes how we interact with Google Search. This new AI-powered experience is available to all users in the U.S as of now. Here’s everything we know about the new feature.

Google AI Mode

image

Caption – Google’s new AI Mode is now available to users in the US. (Image credit – Google)

CEO Sundar Pichai described it as a total reimagining of search,” turning what was once a simple list of links into something more like an interactive AI assistant. Search is bringing AI to more people than any other product in the world,” said Pichai, pointing to Google’s massive reach with 8.5 billion searches a day.

What Is AI Mode?

AI Mode offers a chatbot-style experience built right into Google Search. Instead of just showing links, it gives you AI-generated responses and lets you ask follow-up questions in a more natural, conversational way. This feature was previously available only to select users through Google’s Labs program, but now it’s rolling out more widely.

According to Liz Reid, VP and Head of Search at Google, there’s been a big shift in how people use Search. We launched AI Overviews last year at I/O, and since then there’s been a profound shift in how people are using Google Search. People are coming to Google to ask more of their questions, including more complex, longer and multimodal questions,” she said.

image

Caption – Google’s new AI Mode will change the way we know Google Search. (Image credit – Google)

This move marks a major departure from Google’s traditional way of showing search results. Instead of just listing webpages, AI Mode provides answers directly similar to how ChatGPT or Perplexity works.

Reid explained that the familiar search results page was essentially a product of how the web was built. But now, with users engaging more with AI-generated answers, the model is changing. “In our biggest markets like the U.S. and India, AI Overviews is driving over 10% increase in usage of Google for the types of queries that show AI Overviews,” she said.

Nick Fox, who heads Google’s knowledge and information products, said this is a natural evolution for Search. “In the past, search would have been limited to, ‘if there’s a piece of information out there, I can deliver it back to someone.’” But now, Google’s AI can “reason, transform, connect dots, synthesise — things that go beyond simple information retrieval to real intelligence.”

Google Journey From Search Tool to Digital Assistant

Google also previewed other AI-powered features that push things even further. One of them, called Project Mariner, is designed to autonomously complete tasks like booking travel or doing research. Other features include “Deep Search” for in-depth queries and “Search Live” for real-time visual assistance.

Google explains, “Often you come to Search to get something done, and now we’re bringing the agentic capabilities of Project Mariner into AI Mode, to help save you time with tasks like purchasing tickets. Just ask, “Find 2 affordable tickets for this Saturday’s Reds game in the lower level” and AI Mode will kick off a query fan-out, looking across sites to analyze hundreds of potential ticket options with real-time pricing and inventory, and handle the tedious work of filling in forms. AI Mode will present ticket options that meet your exact criteria, and you can complete the purchase on whichever site you prefer – saving you time while keeping you in control.”

“This will start with event tickets, restaurant reservations and local appointments. And we’ll be working with companies like Ticketmaster, StubHub, Resy and Vagaro to create a seamless and helpful experience,” the company adds.

But don’t worry, blue links aren’t going away just yet. For now, AI Mode will live in a separate tab, so users can choose whether or not to use it. Fox said the classic Google Search is still the “best experience” for many users.

“In three years, we will all think about and use Search in a way completely unrecognizable to today’s product,” Fox said.

Google plans to test these new tools in Labs first, especially for power users, before gradually bringing the most successful features into the main Search experience.

FAQs

Q1. What is Google’s AI Mode in Search?

Answer. AI Mode is a chatbot-style feature built into Google Search, providing AI-generated answers and allowing users to ask follow-up questions interactively.

Q2. How does AI Mode differ from traditional Google Search?

Answer. Instead of displaying link-based results, AI Mode synthesises information, connects dots, and provides direct, conversational responses like an AI assistant.

Q3. What new AI-powered tools is Google introducing?

Answer. Google is developing Project Mariner for autonomous tasks, Deep Search for in-depth queries, and Search Live for real-time visual assistance.

Nothing Phone (3) Launching in July, Here’s What We Know So Far

0

Highlights

  • Nothing announced that the Nothing Phone (3) will officially arrive in July 2025.
  • The phone is expected to retain Nothing’s transparent design and Glyph LED interface with possible additions like a customisable Action button.
  • Expected features include Snapdragon 8 Elite or Dimensity 9400+, 6.5-inch AMOLED display, 5,000mAh battery and an advanced triple-camera setup.

image

Nothing CEO Carl Pei just weeks ago confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3) would launch sometime in Q3 this year. This was quickly picked by fans who speculated it meant any time between July and September. Now, the company has narrowed that down and officially confirmed the arrival of the next Nothing flagship in July.

The update came via a short teaser video shared on X (formerly Twitter) with a caption that read, “Phone (3). It’s a magic number. Coming July 2025.”

While the exact launch date wasn’t revealed, the post confirmed that the phone is coming next month. As for pricing, the Nothing Phone (3) is expected to cost around £800, which converts to approximately $1,070 / €950 / ₹91,530.

Carl Pei also shared a few key details about the upcoming phone. He said it would feature “premium materials,” “major performance upgrades,” and “software that really levels things up.”

Nothing Phone (3) – What to Expect?

The Nothing Phone (3) is expected to stick to the brand’s signature transparent design along with the Glyph LED interface. There are hints that it may also include a customisable Action button, similar to the one seen on the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro and inspired by newer iPhones.

On the front, the Phone (3) could have a 6.5-inch AMOLED display, likely with a 1.5K resolution, HDR support and a 120Hz refresh rate. Rumours also suggest a larger 6.7-inch OLED screen might appear in a possible Pro model, though this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Performance is expected to take a big leap forward. Pei had previously hinted at “major performance upgrades,” especially compared to the Nothing Phone (2), which launched with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen, a generation behind top-tier flagships at the time.

Now, Nothing seems to be aiming higher. The Phone (3) could be powered by one of the latest flagship chips, possibly the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, or MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 / 9400+. Recent reports lean toward a Snapdragon flagship SoC.

Battery details are still under wraps, but there’s a good chance the 5,000mAh unit from the previous model will make a return.

The Nothing Phone (3) is also expected to feature a “large primary sensor” on the back, paired with a periscope telephoto lens. An ultrawide camera will likely complete the triple-camera setup, similar to the one seen on the Nothing Phone (3a) series.

With the launch just weeks away, we’ll likely hear more soon.

According to recent posters released by OnePlus, both models will feature a triple-chip gaming architecture. At the core is the Dimensity 9400+ processor, paired with a dedicated X-Touch control chip and a G1 e-sports Wi-Fi chip.

These make up what OnePlus calls the industry’s first full-link gaming hardware architecture, designed to deliver smoother gameplay, more stable frame rates and lower power consumption.

OnePlus says the system’s efficiency has improved significantly –

  • 2% better scheduling efficiency
  • 3% reduction in core load
  • 3% lower power draw

This means more consistent frame rates and reduced heat during long gaming sessions.

With this setup, the Ace 5 Ultra series can reportedly run demanding games like Justice Mobile and open-world RPGs at 120 FPS, even at 1.5K resolution. OnePlus credits this to its exclusive Fengchi gaming core, which enables zero-lag interaction, accurate visuals and strong performance even in the most demanding 1% of gameplay scenarios.

iPhone 17 Air Leaked Image Shows Slimmer Design Compared to iPhone 16 Plus

0

Highlights

  • The iPhone 17 Air leaked image shows a slimness comparison with the iPhone 16 Plus.
  • The device will reportedly be just 5.5mm thin and weigh 145g, making it one of Apple’s slimmest phones.
  • It reportedly will have a small 2,800mAh battery and only one rear camera as trade-offs for the slim design.

The iPhone 17 Air is undoubtedly the most talked-about upcoming iPhone of the entire iPhone 17 Series. It is expected to launch this September alongside the three other models, which are iPhone 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. We already have a lot of updates giving us a somewhat clear picture of what to expect from 17 Air.

Some reports have claimed the iPhone 17 Air is sort of an indirect replacement for the iPhone 16 Plus model. And now, popular tipster Majin Bu on X (formerly Twitter) has shared some images and wrote, “Is iPhone 17 Air a good upgrade?”

The images give us a side-by-side look at the upcoming iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 16 Plus.

image

The Plus models have consistently been the least popular among the four main iPhones each year, which is likely why Apple is switching things up. The company is reportedly hoping that a slimmer design will make the iPhone 17 Air more appealing to buyers.

Based on the latest rumours, the iPhone 17 Air could be just 5.5mm thin (some reports say 5.65mm), making it one of Apple’s slimmest devices yet. But that thinness comes at a cost, a tiny 2,800 mAh battery. For context, even the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, known for being slim itself and packs a 3,900 mAh battery.

Apple’s possible solution is a battery case, which would completely cancel out the benefit of having such a thin phone in the first place.

The iPhone 17 Air will reportedly weigh just 145g, which is lighter than the S25 Edge at 163g. However, it’s also said to come with just one rear camera, while Samsung’s slim flagship still manages to include two.

So while the iPhone 17 Air might be sleek and light, it seems Apple has made some big trade-offs to get there.

FAQs

Q1. How does the iPhone 17 Air compare to the iPhone 16 Plus in terms of design?

Answer. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be slimmer, measuring 5.5mm to 5.65mm thick, compared to the iPhone 16 Plus. Apple hopes the sleek design will appeal to buyers.

Q2. What are the trade-offs of the iPhone 17 Air’s thin design?

Answer. The phone reportedly has a tiny 2,800mAh battery, much smaller than competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge (3,900mAh). Apple might offer a battery case solution.

Q3. Will the iPhone 17 Air include multiple rear cameras?

Answer. No, the iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to come with just one rear camera, while competing slim smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge include two rear sensors.
