Whatsapp Feature

The technology industry is changing and evolving with time. Innovators have made a good number of changes to their existing apps to keep them relevant and preferable in the long run. Similarly, WhatsApp had to undergo numerous changes to be where it is today. After its fair share of changes, WhatsApp has tremendously managed to be the top instant messaging service platform. Currently, there is strongly sourced news towards the WhatsApp Desktop beta version 2.2245.5 update, which indicates some changes in the pipeline that will make this Meta platform-owned company more user efficient. The news is that WhatsApp has finally solved the biggest problem related to photo forwarding.

Users are fond of WhatsApp and are thrilled to experience how easy and user-friendly this chatting app is, where one can do so much, even run a small business, and get a job offer, besides talking and forwarding messages and images to the people present in their contact list. However, such vast exposure has enforced WhatsApp to roll out several limitations with time to negate its misuses. It is all fine uptil forwarding and sharing messages, but WhatsApp was lacking efficiency in forwarding images or videos. The hindrance the widespread users experienced was the caption not being forwarded with the images or videos. The App has convinced the users not to worry and the fix for the same is on the way, sooner than the users are anticipating.

For resolving such issues WhatsApp is working and testing forwarding captions to the media. The WABetaInfo has enlightened the users with the new update, where it was informed that only WhatsApp Desktop beta version 2.2245.5 update is compatible and can forward captions with the images and videos. Additionally, it was further conveyed that the update is currently part of the beta update only and this newly added feature is available to some lucky beta testers.

The news doesn’t stop here, as there is some information that is not merely WhatsApp beta desktop version but for the WhatsApp beta iOS 22.23.0.72 update. This feature is again under the testing stage and the feature to forward the captions with images, images, GIFs, documents, and videos is only available to a few of the beta testers after updating their app. The company has all the plans and intentions of rolling out this feature in the next update soon.

A word from the experts

Whatsapp Feature

Experts say it is not advisable to get the test version of upcoming features, better to wait for the WhatsApp update as the beta version can contain some bugs that no one will be interested in as it calls for careful operations.

Conclusion

WhatsApp users things will get easier for you with the next update where the users can easily forward captions with videos and images instead of sending the caption in the form of text. The meta platform-owned company is presently testing and examining the stability of the feature before rolling it out to the entire public.

Prepaid Recharge Plan by Bharti Airtel at Rs.155; Details Inside

0
Bharti Airtel
Bharti Airtel

Highlights

  • Bharti Airtel may roll out the plan across India based on market result
  • In Haryana and Odisha, Airtel has now started offering the Rs. 155 plan
  • Bharti has taken the industry’s first step in implementing a tariff hike

In Brief

5G services were launched in India on October 1, 2022 at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) held in New Delhi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while the event was also graced by the who’s who of the tech industry, along with other politicians in the central government.

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, two of the biggest telecom giants in the country, took the responsibility of spreading 5G network all around, beginning with 8 metropolitan cities, which included Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, among others.]

Bharti Airtel has a minimum monthly prepaid recharge plan, which is a service plan of 28 days by 57% to Rs.155 in Haryana and Odisha, which is not the first time as the telecom giant increased the minimum recharge offer from Rs.79 to Rs.99 in select cities back in 2021.

Under the previous recharge plan at Rs.99, Bharti Airtel offered 200MB data while the call rate was Rs.2.5 paisa per second, while Airtel has increased it two Rs.155 in both Haryana and Odisha, as mentioned, with unlimited calling at 1GB data and 300SMSes as perks.

Bharti Airtel

This new plan is under trial phase, which is why it is being started in two states in the initial stages, although the company has decided to roll it out all over India depending on its results in the first two states.

It is highly likely that Bharti Airtel will end all 28-day calling plans with data and SMS that are below Rs.155, implying that if an SMS service is included in the monthly plan, the customer has to recharge their phone with a Rs.155 voucher.

It appears that Bharti Airtel wants to implement hikes in tariff while keeping the current market situation in mind, but now it all depends on how well it is received in Haryana and Odisha, failing which the company has no choice but to move back to Rs.99 pack.

Conclusion

It remains to be seen whether this new prepaid recharge plan will reap any benefits or not because it is impossible to gauge the mood of the public and whether they will see this plan as beneficial for them or not.

Bharti Airtel always has enough riding upon itself so it needs to carefully implement such plans while keeping public sentiments in mind otherwise it will not bode well for the company.

Jio Cinema Ruins FIFA World Cup 2022 Streaming in India with Glitch-Ridden Stream

0
FIFA World Cup 2022

FIFA World Cup 2022, the most highly anticipated sports event, had a grand opening in Qatar this week with much fanfare and grandeur. However, the football festival started on a not-so-fun note for Indian viewers who planned on streaming the inaugural match on Jio Cinemas App. The online streaming platform suffered constant glitches and intermittent lags throughout the game. The inaugural match was played between Ecuador and the host country, Qatar.

Jio Cinemas, the flagship streaming app of Reliance Jio, has the online streaming rights for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the company is providing free access to its platform for Indian football fans to enjoy the event. However, it appears that the streaming platform wasn’t really prepared to handle the stream on such a huge scale and a lot of difficulties cropped up for viewers across the country. The unexpected error encountered during the live stream along with frequent glitches and buffers. Many fans also complained of low quality video whenever the stream was working.

Miffed fans across the country were quick to turn to social media to voice their disappointment. One of the viewers tweeted, “Streaming is lagging a lot. I even missed the first two goals of this year’s FIFA world cup. Really disappointed.” Another user said in their tweet, “Wow #JioCinema you guys should have tested your servers before putting in your bid for broadcasting #FIFAWorldCup in India. Pathetic service.”

One viewer noted how offering free streaming to viewers would mean nothing if the services are poor, “Can’t even watch 1 min. I subscribed to Voot for the matches. I don’t mind paying instead of this. Very disappointed.” At the same time, another user also pointed out, “Did upgrade the #JioCinema app, no improvement. Still stuck after 3-5 seconds. Awful experience.”

FIFA World Cup 2022

Many viewers even posted buffering videos and screenshots to validate all the issues they were facing trying to stream the game. One viewer posted a video that showed how the live stream started buffering right before an important goal. Soon, negative hashtags against Jio Cinemas started trending on Twitter with the disappointed fans trying to vent their frustration by noting everything that was wrong with Jio Cinema’s streaming service.

Following the backlash on a large scale, the Reliance owned streaming platform had to come out, acknowledge the multiple issues faced by the viewers during the live stream, and tweet an apology. The company, however, tried to apologise with light hearted TikTok meme in an effort to keep the temperature down. The company tweeted, “We are continuously working to give you a great experience. Please upgrade your app to the latest version to enjoy #FIFAWorldCupQatar2022. Apologies for any inconvenience.”

Fans, however, were not really convinced by Jio Cinema’s apology and the light hearted approach of sharing memes while being regretful didn’t really work with the disappointed fans. “At 300 Mbps broadband connection, the picture is getting stuck again & again. It is a very bad experience. Now even @SonyLIV seems superb in comparison to this. It’s gonna be a horrifying experience for Indian fans. Get ready to be disappointed,” wrote one such disappointed Jio Cinema user.

There have been many speculations surrounding the upcoming Xiaomi 13 that has been much awaited for a long time and many users have constantly expressed their disappointment at not being able to get any information about it.

Among the many rumours, one of them was Xiaomi in talks of skipping the ’13’ moniker and launching the flagship model as Xiaomi 14, although it turned out to be untrue, but it is expected to come out in the next few weeks.

The supply chain too has revealed certain specifications surrounding the model along with a name change but there are reliable tipsters that are closely connected to inside sources in the company that know the skuttle bug of what is going on, one of whom has totally refuted all such rumours as fake and baseless.

Apart from this, a leaked image has surfaced online which many experts have confirmed to be Xiaomi 13, which reveals a dummy phone made of aluminum that is flat and has squared edges but due to the Xiaomi flagship, the company had no choice but to do away with the round edges.

Xiaomi 13 images that have come out closely resemble an iPhone and that isn’t just due to the squared edges but also the new design on the rear like a camera bump, which again closely resembles the camera modules of an iPhone, the only difference being that this bump occupies more space on the rear than an iPhone.

The Chinese tech giant wants to make sure that Xiaomi 13 is quite different from all its predecessors which is why there are many features and newer upgrades that users can expect from the upcoming flagship model.

Coming to camera, Xiaomi 13 may come with a 50MP primary rear camera setup, along with an optical image stabilization (OIS) and will be powered by a Sony IMX-8-series image sensor.

ISRO Launches First Private Rocket with Flying Colours; Details Inside

ISRO
Vikram-S

Highlights

  • The Vikram-S successfully lifted off at 11:30 am on Friday from the Sriharikota spaceport of the ISRO.
  • The Vikram-S is named after Indian physicist and astronomer Vikram Sarabhai.
  • It aims to support communication services like broadband internet, GPS, IoT from space, and earth imaging.

In Brief

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is the second largest space agency in the world after National Aeronautics Space Association (NASA), which has acquired a stature and reputation that is difficult to match.

Being the national space agency of India, the fastest developing country in the world, it is not easy to escape the watchful eye of other country’s space agency, especially after the hugely successful Pokhran-II tests in 1998 that threw USA off guard completely.

It was a bolt out of the blue for the superpower that was America where the Central Investigative Agency (CIA) and NASA did not know what hit them and from where, by which time it was too late, and they were left with no choice but to lick their ‘nuclear’ wounds.

They could vent out their frustration only by leveling a couple of sanctions against India, by which time India had already achieved its goal of establishing itself as a full-fledged nuclear state.

Now, in 2022, ISRO has also launched India’s first ever private rocket called Vikram-S, while the mission has been codenamed ‘Prarambh’, which saw the rocket three massive payloads that totally weighed around 85kg.

Barely 3 minutes after taking off from the ground, the rocket had already reached an altitude of 81.5km, while another five minutes later, the payloads separated from the rocket, following which it crashed into the Bay of Bengal after the success of deploying the payloads into orbit.

The Vikram-S has been named after renowned Indian physicist and astronomer Vikram Sarabhai and was developed by Skyroot Aerospace, a private aerospace manufacturer based in Hyderabad, for which it took nearly four years.

ISRO

Sarabhai is considered the pioneer of space exploration who hugely contributed to India’s development of nuclear power, while the payloads deployed were from Bazoomq Armenia, N-Space Tech India, and Space Kidz India, all of which were equipped with sensors to study pressure and acceleration.

Conclusion

Vikram S-series consists of Vikram-I, Vikram-II, and Vikram-III, where the former two had a payload capacity of 480 and 595kg, respectively, for Low Earth Orbit, while the latter had the capacity of 815kg to 500km Low Inclination Orbit.

It took nearly two and a half years for Skyroot Aerospace to develop the rocket with the backup of more than 200 engineers contributing to the project as launching payloads into Low Earth Orbit with nearly 800kg will be validated by the mission.

  • The approximate Indian pricing of Steam Deck has been revealed.

In Brief

No matter how old you become, if you belong to the generation that grew up in the 90s and 00s then you can never give up your affinity for video games, even though their era is long gone and has been replaced by largely by mobile games.

However, there are many from that generation who continue to play on their PS5 and TV screens just to experience that nostalgia all over again, which is why even today these ventures are popular.

The millennial generation would much rather play on their gaming computer, also known as gaming PC, which is a handheld computer meant for playing games, which is basically an upgraded smartphone like device with keys resembling joysticks.

One of the biggest video game developers in the world is Valve Corporation, which launched its latest model, Steam Deck, in February 2022, which is a handheld computer for playing games but can also be connected to a PC in a similar manner to Nintendo Switch.

Steam Deck

Steam Deck has been launched in a handful of markets in the US, Canada, the EU, along with a few others sometime back, even though its global availability is quite limited as of now, which has left many gamers frustrated that they’re not able to try it out.

If recent reports are to be believed, the device will soon find its way to Indian soil via grey market and it won’t be long before local gaming stores in the country, although the name of these stores, along with their availability for online purchase is still a mystery.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 Gets New Update; Details Inside

Galaxy Z Fold3
Galaxy Z Fold3

Highlights

  • Two new Samsung foldable handsets to be updated with One UI 5.0
  • They will be the latest models that will be availed with the update after the 2021 variants
  • The new update will prove to be quite convenient to the users as they can manage things out more smoothly

Brief Summary

Be it Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, Infinix, or any tech giant, they all have launched excellent devices this year that will be counted amongst their best for years to come.

As 2022 draws to a close within a few weeks, there are a slew of devices lined up for release from most of the tech giants and in 2023 as well, which is why many users are excited at the prospect of trying out some new ones.

These days, even an Android or iOS that is more than two years old is considered outdated, which is why users are easily bored with their handsets and start looking for better options.

This is why the tech giants have a hard time in bringing out newer updates at regular intervals with the latest one being the One UI 5.0 that Samsung is rolling out for most of its smartphones, beginning with their flagship models in 2022.

Samsung Galaxy Z flip3

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 are now the latest foldable entrants that will get this Android 13 based One UI 5.0, although only those users who were part of the beta program can avail it in the initial stages because Samsung wants to test it on beta models to check if there is any critical bug in the firmware.

Security Patch of Galaxy Z Fold 3

To sum up, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are not, at least now, getting any of the perks that come with One UI 5.0 but there will be a new design for the lock screen, along with newer options for customization purposes, while Monet’s theming engine too has been implemented perfectly.

Due to the theming engine, colour customization can be easily managed through UI, while Bixby too can be improved via widget options as the new firmware comes with a new and upgraded security patch that came out in November 2022 itself.

Both Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 have been equipped with Android-11 based One UI 3.1.1, while also getting OneUI 4.0 in late 2021, which means that One UI 5.0 will be their second major update and they are eligible to get two more.

Samsung galaxy z flip3

Samsung has now promised four years of new updates on Android and security updates of up to five years, which is good news for their users as they can get long time support ahead.

Amazon Is Not Done With Layoff Yet! Next Year More Layoffs

0
Amazon CEO

Hard to witness but many big companies are on a mass lay-off spree, the reasons can vary but the bottom line is employees are getting terminated from their prestigious positions of renowned names, among these names we have recently got Amazon. This multinational e-commerce industry has resorted to terminating a number of its employees from different departments; moreover, Amazon CEO, Andy Jassy added to this new development that the company is observing the decision to lay off more employees after already laying off 3 percent of the workforce through emails. The reason that has surfaced for this fiasco step by the e-commerce giant is due to the “unusual and uncertain macroeconomic environments.”

The company shared its opinion on resuming their operation to slack down some more employees possibly the next year 2023 on the recent conversation with the Amazon’s CEO, Jassy conveyed his idea “Yesterday, we communicated the difficult decision to eliminate a number of positions across our Devices and Books businesses, and also announced a voluntary reduction offer for some employees in our People, Experience, and Technology (PXT) organization. Our annual planning process extends into the new year, which means there will be more role reductions as leaders continue to make adjustments.”

Further he also added addressing the steps the company will be taking ahead about the continuation of the lay off process “Those decisions will be shared with impacted employees and organizations early in 2023. We haven’t concluded yet exactly how many other roles will be impacted (we know that there will be reductions in our Stores and PXT organizations), but each leader will communicate to their respective teams when we have the details nailed down. And, as has been the case this week, we will prioritize communicating directly with impacted employees before making broad public or internal announcements.”

Amazon CEO

Besides this, the CEO has also cleared the air about how the further layoffs will take place, along with why the company is taking a little time before laying off the employees and what plan has the company jotted down to lower the termination levels as the company seems to be making a plan regarding the recovery ammonut for its terminated employees. As the CEO has not given a clear picture; however, given an idea by stating that “We are working to support those who are affected and trying to help them find new roles on teams that have a need; and in cases where that’s not possible, we are offering packages that include a separation payment, transitional health insurance benefits, and external job placement support.”

Conclusion

As Amazon is having words about having a layoff round 2, with which the company will be terminating 10,000 employees in total; however the company is trying to save the interest of their employees but if left helpless they will lay off a good number of employees by the next year 2023. Right now, Amazon is looking for ways to decrease the number of further termination and scrutinize employees’ performance.
