Pixel 7 Pro New Chipset

Google Pixel 7 Pro is soon going to be launched on October 6, 2022, as many reports suggest and has left users and tech experts highly excited as to what they can expect with the upcoming Pixel model.

The Pixel 7 series have always been a part of the conversation for quite some time with all the upgraded features and specifications that one can look forward to but the latest buzz doing the rounds is that Google Pixel 7 Pro pictures have been leaked in the public domain that suggest that there will be very mild upgrades in its features.

Pixel 7 Pro

In Brief

The features upgrading are few when compared to its predecessor Google Pixel 6 series of smartphones but the biggest change is that it will be coming with a brand new Tensor G2 chipset, which will usher in modern improvements like GPU, NPU, among others.

The Pro model will be available in two variants viz. 12/128GB and 12/256GB storage configurations and will come with a 6.7 inch LPTO OLED panel with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The battery power is 5,000mAh units that will come with a 30W fast charging support and both models will support wireless charging. Although the Tensor G2 chipset is the only big upgrade revealed as of now, there are some users that may point out that its CPU will be similar to that of G1.

WhatsApp Call Links for Coming Onboard

WhatsApp is well known for bringing out new features so as to make sure that their loyal user base does not feel bored, which is saying a lot considering the public tastes that change with a drop of a hat.

WhatsApp call links

The latest to join the list is the Call Links feature that will allow users to jump onto a call by creating a link to it and sharing it with different people so that they can immediately join in by clicking or tapping on the link.

It is interesting to note that this feature works for anyone who has WhatsApp installed on their smartphones and they don’t even need to be in your contact list, which is quite astonishing to hear but it’s true.

However, having a WhatsApp account is a necessary prerequisite so that the link can be said to the person even though he/she might be a stranger and not in your contact list, so that they can click on it and jump onto the call.

While this is a unique feature in and of it itself, it is not something that has been invented just now as other services have had this feature for a long time but what makes it necessary to mention is that WhatsApp is a massive platform in terms of user base, which will allow this feature to gain a great deal of popularity.

Digital India Corporation Restructures for More Divisions; Details Inside

Digital India Corp
Digital India Corp

How successful has Digital India been? What is its future? What other endeavors can we look forward to in the campaign? These are some of the pertinent questions that many people continue to ask.

Everything has gone digital in the past few years like digital payment is the prevalent medium of exchange ever since the demonetization of Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 rupee notes in November 2016 that was taken to curb the black money menace prevalent in India.

Digital Payments have helped turn the country into a cash-less economy where most of the transactions are done through Unified Payments Interface (UPI) with platforms like Paytm, BHIM App, Google Pay, and Phone Pe becoming the proverbial modes of digital payment.

In Brief

In the light of the ongoing digital campaign, Digital India Corporation has started an initiative of restructuring many divisions to inculcate other platforms on to its projects so as to implement a well equipped roadmap to complete its strategic vision of a digital medium.

The Digital India Program is a massive endeavor tasked with leading and guiding multiple objectives, visions, and goals of the program. Digital India is a non profit company that was initiated by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Its main aim is to support to the various departments and ministries belonging to the central and state government for taking the Digital India initiative far and wide by way of capacity building for numerous e-government projects, encouraging public-private partnerships, innovation, initiating good practices, etc. to name a few.

Digital India Corporation has multiple divisions that include National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Technology Development & Deployment Division (TDDD), MyGov, India Semiconductor Mission, and so on.

Now, the company is all set to create more strategies for housing some more divisions in the near future on the up and coming technological advancements like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Language, Technologies, Machine Learning, etc.

Digital India Corp

The DIC has around 500 team members that take care of all their assignments and projects with an annual project worth of Rs.250 crores and with the newly proposed project in the pipeline that are being assigned to Digital India Corporation, its annual turnover will most probably exceed Rs.500 crores while the team size will exceed to around 1000 people.

Due to this, HR policies and optimal organizational structures have to be upgraded and redesigned so as to cater to so many team members apart from promoting creativity and innovation while at the same time motivating team members at regular intervals.

iPhone 14 Subjected to Battery Replacement; Details Inside

0
iPhone 14
iPhone 14

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The iPhone 14’s battery repair will be 43 percent more expensive than last year’s model.
  • Apple will reportedly charge $99 in the US.
  • The increase in price of the US market means that other regions will also see a price hike.

How would you feel if you’re facing major issues in your smartphones within just days of purchasing it? And that too from an Apple iPhone? And from one which has been released mere few days back? Here, we are going to look at one of the biggest problems that iPhone 14 series smartphone users are facing.

Brief Summary

The iPhone 14 series was launched at the ‘Far Out’ event with four different variants- iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, which were of similar design as the iPhone 13 series.

iPhone 14 has been receiving polarizing reviews since its release as the design is not the only issue that users are facing as there’s a lot more than that. One of the bigger issues, aside from the smaller ones, is that many users claim that the battery drains out abnormally fast on their handsets.

It isn’t a one-off example and has been a constant issue that users are facing ever since they purchased the device some weeks back. It is the case with both Pro and non-pro models and even users are baffled that Apple iPhones are facing such grave issues and that too mere weeks after their launch.

There are speculations from certain users that the iOS 16 optimization is to blame for the abysmal battery performance of the iPhone 14 models but the root cause of the issue is still being worked out by Apple although they’re claiming that battery life is affected due to turning on the Haptic keyboard.

In the meantime, the iPhone 14 battery is being replaced and the repair cost will be 43% more costly than that of iPhone 13 series as Apple has made it clear that it will charge $99, which is approximately Rs.7,840, as battery replacement cost in the new iPhones.

The iPhone 13 price was $69, approximately Rs.5,460, which is a $30 increase by the company when compared to the previous year. It needs to be mentioned that iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 have, more or less, similar battery units under their hood, which is why the price should be around the same and not so high.

iPhone 14

The iPhone 14 battery power was reported to be 3,279 units while the older models were 3,227mAh units so it can be seen that the battery unit has been very similar in terms of capacity, which also holds true for other iPhone 14 models as well.

This exorbitant repair cost has completely baffled users who simply can’t fathom why Apple is charging so much for newly released models and if US prices are this high, then one can expect massive price hikes in other countries as well like UK, for example, where the battery replacing for iPhone 14 will be EUR 105, approximately Rs.9,740.

Apple Care+ Subscription

There are certain iPhones that fall under the Apple Care+ Protection or have completed the one year warranty period so the aforementioned prices are for those models that don’t fall in those categories while the Apple Care+ subscription will give coverage in case the device is accidentally damaged upon handling.

iPhone 14

Apple has made sure that the fiscal affairs are in order as it the service fee of Rs.2,500 for back glass damage or screen replacement while the fee for accidental damage will be Rs.8,900 and the back glass damage service fee is only for iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 models.

Apple Care+ cost for the three models will be Rs.17,900 that will have a validity of two years while the subscription cost for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be Rs.28,900 while for iPhone 14 Plus the subscription for Apple Care+ is Rs.21,900.

India Holds Talks with Saudi Arabia Over UPI Payment System; Details Inside

0
UPI Payment System
India Saudi Arabia

Highlights

  • India-Saudi Cooperation Plan
  • Priority Projects Agreement
  • Trading Relations

In Brief

India has always had a mixed to frosty relationship with Middle-Eastern countries although there are a few exceptions but things have been looking up ever since Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister as everything is working in a smooth and systematic way.

Whether it is UAE, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Oman, or any other, India has established good relations with most of them especially since UAE is one of the biggest oil exporters in the world.

The concept of Digital India was one of the first initiatives that the Modi Government came up with during its first tenure from 2014-19 while the demonetization of Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 notes was seen as a revolutionary step by many to curb black money although it had its fair share of detractors.

The massive drive led to the rise of digital payments in the country as platforms like Paytm skyrocketed in popularity as during the two-month period of currency exchange where old notes were exchanged for new ones, Paytm was the primary source of transactions.

Then came other portals like Phone Pe, BHIM App, Google Pay, among others that paved way for Unified Payments Interface (UPI), which is the payment system developed by National Payment Corporation of India through which peer-to-peer transactions are made easier.

UPI

It is the new mode of payment in which mobile phones are used for transferring funds between two bank accounts and now, in 2022, India is the largest country in the world with the maximum transactions done through UPI while superpowers like USA are far behind in this medium.

In present day politics, India and Saudi Arabia are holding talks for institutionalizing Rupee-Riyal trade as they thing prospects are highly feasible at the moment aside from taking the opportunity of introducing Rupay Cards and UPI Payment System in the country, which will bring a massive change as the instant payments system has brought in India.

Conclusion

All the priority projects are being taken into consideration between both countries as there is a mutual agreement to expand and diversify trade and commerce, eliminating trade barriers, which include to social measures like sanitary and physio-sanitary remedies for women, authorization of Indian pharmacy products in Saudi Arabia, among others.

Digital Payments are, more or less, likely to be successful once the UPI Payment system is implemented in the country, which are speculated to play a huge role in boosting bilateral ties between India and Saudi Arabia to a whole new level as the country may well become the first country in the Middle-east to fully embrace UPI as the new mode of payment.

UPI Payment System

Being India’s fourth largest trading partner, Saudi Arabia is one of the biggest oil exporters for the country due to which the former is largely dependent on the latter to meet its oil requirements and in fact, during April-July 2022 phase, Saudi was India’s second largest import partner of crude oil, after Iraq.

Also discussed during the bilateral meeting was the 41 areas of cooperation under four of the biggest domains of food security & agriculture, IT & Technology, Industry & Infrastructure, and Energy.

To conclude, it will be interesting to see how the India-Saudi bilateral relations will turn out as they have joined hands for many international projects with some of them already in the pipeline ready to be implemented in due course, with oil trade being considered the spine that held them together.

  • It is tipped to feature Wireless charging.
  • The tablet may also feature an OLED display

In Brief

Apple has been on a roll since the past few years with 2022 being, more or less, the year of Apple in more ways than one as the tech giant has come out with one excellent device after another this year and with many others lined up in the pipeline with many more coming up for 2023.

It seems that Apple has taken it upon itself to launch at least one new iPad model for 2022 with the latest being the brand new iPad Pro 2022 with many users speculating that IPadOS 16, that had been delayed for some time back, will also be releasing simultaneously.

iPad Pro 2022

As it generally happens prior to the launch of any new device, iPad Pro 2022 too has been subjected to an online leak although it appears to have come from reliable sources in the form of a listing on the official website of Logitech.

There are two new iPad Pro 2022 versions listed on the website- 4th Generation 11-inch iPad Pro and 6th Generation 12.9 inch iPad Pro and they both are reportedly compatible with Crayon Stylus, which is a digital pencil and is the only third party digital pen to offer same functions as Apple pencil.

Logitech will have prior in-hand knowledge of Apple’s plans on the iPad Pro line-up of laptops that it has planned for the future, which is also one of the most loyal, credible, and reliable sources that reveals the launch of new products well in advance.

Conclusion

iPad Pro 2022 will come with many unique features and specifications to its credit that Apple will release an official confirmation of in due course although unofficial sources claim that the laptop will be launched in October 2022 but, at the end of the day, these sources are ‘unofficial’ and therefore, have to be taken with a grain of salt.

5G Services in India; Will it Succeed?

0
5G Service
5G Service

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The faster the 5G networks will be rolled out in India, the faster India can leap ahead of other nations and become a digital country
  • Since fiberisation and other investments for the telcos will take a lot of money and time, the telcos can share infra costs and resolve their issues faster than ever
  • The telcos will need to invest a lot on the ground level infrastructure

Brief Up

If there is something that is most looked forward to in India, in the technological field, it is the advent of 5G services that are expected to happen around late 2022 or sometime later in 2023.

Although no specific news has been confirmed on the matter, the telecom ministry has vouched that it will be out in the country sooner than later although no one gave a specific date or time for the launch.

5G Networks involve much more than high frequency spectrum being purchased and deployed because there is more to the story than meets the eye because to ensure that 5G network succeeds in a country like India, there are certain procedures to be followed.

It is no secret that the 5G project is a mammoth endeavor for which the ground-level infrastructure is abysmal to say the least, for which the telecom industry (telcos) has to invest a lot and that too wisely so that nothing is squandered for unnecessary things.

High-frequency networks have to be delivered in a steady and seamless manner for which more and more towers have to be installed along with building micro-sites, the process of which is called fiberisation.

Then we have the spectrum that has to be available at an affordable price for the telcos but if the costs are too high, telcos will do either of the two things- ignore it or the end consumers will have to pay for the services from their own pockets.

Also Read: 5G Rollout In India; 5G technology, Uses, Types and The Major Cities Rolled Out

Infra Cost Sharing

The telecom industry has to share the infra costs beforehand as investing in Fiberisation is no easy task and when you add other investments to the project, not to mention numerous miscellaneous expenses, the time and money will be greatly depleted to go ahead with the project.

Vodafone Idea, while being a reputed brand in India, cannot afford to take up the project as it will fall short of the required investments unless it shares its infra costs with other telecom giants like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel.

With the amendment of licensing terms and conditions by the central government, telecom companies can share all the core network elements amongst one another as the new rules and regulations will inspire operators to come out with brand new services in short times along with saving investment for the infrastructure.

5G Services

Conclusion

The Digital India initiative undertaken by the Modi Government will get a massive boost the faster 5G networks will be launched in India as the country will jump far ahead of other countries to become a digital sub-continent.

To sum up, 5G Network is a massive and complicated project that requires tremendous amount of skill, patience, perseverance, investment, and other things, to manage due to which the central government and telecom industry need to be on the same page and take wise decisions in the coming days.

WhatsApp Rolls Out Call Links, Group Video Call

You’ve got to hand it to Mark Zuckerberg for giving us Facebook and other platforms to cherish for a lifetime. There was a time when these platforms were seen as mere entertainment tools for spending leisure time but now have evolved into lucrative careers for many people.

WhatsApp Call Links

WhatsApp is, today, the most popular messaging application we have and the credit goes to Meta, its owner, for rolling out new features to keep it relevant for more than a decade with the latest feature being Call Links.

It is through Call links that that will make group video calls easier where you just need to tap the instrument once for starting and joining a call. The group video calls are currently in testing phase to make sure they’re secure and encrypted whilst the process is being tested with 32 people.

It becomes difficult to answer group calls as they begin but the new ‘Joinable Calls’ feature will reduce the burden of answering to many people at a time by bringing in more spontaneity and ease of conversation in-person to WhatsApp Group calling.

If a group member misses the call while the phone rings, he/she can join later whenever they like where they can join in or leave the call as long as it is ongoing, which is quite easy to manage.

Apple Watch Ultra Durability Test; YouTuber Shows His Skills

Apple Watch Ultra was launched at the ‘Far Out’ event on September 7, 2022, along with the iPhone 14 series of smartphones with much fanfare where many people got to witness the brand new devices for the first time.

Apple Watch Ultra

However, Apple emphasized on the structural durability of the new smartwatch by revealing that it has a titanium case and flat display glass with sapphire crystal coating, which is for rigidity and scratch resistance.

Even the best brands have to undergo scrutiny from tech experts or even common users with an affinity for gadgets, both of whom expect nothing less than perfection, especially from a tech giant like Apple.

Therefore, popular YouTuber, TechRax, decided to conduct a hammer test on Apple Watch Ultra so as to check whether the company’s claims on their newly launched device was true or not.

TechRax tested the device in a procedural way by conducting 2 different tests out of which the first was by dropping the watch from a 4m height, which did it no harm as there were no visible dents or marks on the casing or sapphire crystal glass.

Next, he placed the smartwatch in a box of nails and thumb tacks, following which he shook it vigorously. Upon opening, he found that the watch had no scratches and was completely unharmed.
