Tecno Pova 3 launched: Comes with a massive 7000mAh battery

Smartphones that pack heavy features without going heavy on your pocket are great. And, Trassion’s Tecno Pova range is one such among them. Recently, Tecno launched another great budget option in the Philippines market, adding a 3 edition to its P0va series. Tecno Pova 3 comes as a successor to the Pova 2.

Now, Just like its predecessor, the Pova 3 packs a massive chunky battery of 7,000mAh power paired with a 25W fast charging support. However, this is not all it has!

Tecno Pova 3: Price and availability

Since it’s a great budget option, Tecno Pova 3 won’t go harsh on your pocket. It is currently priced at PHP 8,999(roughly INR 13,350) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The other 6GB RAM + 12GB storage options are priced at PHP  9,399(roughly INR 14,000).

Tecno Pova 3 unlike its successor, also offers three stunning colour options: Eco Black, Electric Blue, and Tech Silver. The phone can be purchased from all the authorized stores in the Philippines.

The Tecno Pova 3 comes all new design and specs. It features a distinct camera island at the back psired with a protruded strip going around from the top to the bottom. Tecno proudly calls it the “Energy bar” of the phone.

Coming to the general specs, the smartphone sports a massive 6.9-inch IPS LCD display paired with a 90Hz refresh rate. It also gives a Full HD+ resolution. Furthermore, it features a punch-hole panel, which Tecno calls the Dot-in display. A MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core SoC powers the device paired with two different storage options. The 4GB RAM comes 64GB storage option and the 6GB of RAM variant comes with 128GB of internal storage.

Coming to the optics, Tecno Pova 3 features a triple camera configuration on the back. It has a 50MP main lens and two 2MP auxiliary units. On the front, it features an 8MP selfie camera with a dual-flash feature.

Talking about the massive battery that Pova 3 features is amazing. It’s also one of the phone’s main highlights- its large 7000mAh battery. You can also consider this as one of the primary selling points for this one. Although it has such a massive battery, this is the same as the predecessor, however, with some improvements. What’s improved here is the enhanced charging speed. The predecessor supported an 18W fast charging support. This one, on the other hand, gets a 25W fast charging support. And interestingly, it is bundled with a 33W fast charger inside the box as well.

Tecno has also added features like a Super Power Saving mode and reverse charging. The phone supports 10W speed for wired reverse charging. The company claims that the phone can offer up to 50 hours of music playback, 20 hours of Youtube video playback, and up to 8 hours of gaming.

It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security. It has dual speakers with DTS audio support. The phone packs a graphite cooling system offering better thermals. Lastly, the phone boots on the Android 11 OS out of the box and has the following dimensions: 173.1  78.466 x 9.44mm.

Tecno Pova 3  India launch timeline

The phone’s India arrival is yet to be confirmed, but as per the leaks, it will hit the Indian smartphone market in the next month, officially. The phone could come under Rs. 15,000 in the country and will take on the likes of iQOO Z6, Poco M4 Pro, and Moto G52.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two-day drone festival in New Delhi. The two-day Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022 is being conducted at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

More than 1600 delegates comprising government officials, foreign diplomats, armed forces, central armed police force, drone startups and more are participating in the drone festival. Over 70 exhibitors will display various use cases of drones at the exhibition.

PM Modi interacted with Kisan drone pilots, startups in the drone exhibition centre and witnessed open-air drone demonstrations.

Highlighting the energy and enthusiasm in the drone sector, Prime Minister said that the sector has great possibilities for employment generation.

PM Modi also conveyed his fascination and interest in the drone sector and said that he was deeply impressed by the drone exhibition and the spirit of the entrepreneurs and innovation in the sector.

Citing an example of Swamitva Yojana, PM Modi said that how drone technology is becoming the basis of a major revolution.

“Promotion of drone technology is another medium of advancing our commitment to good governance and ease of living.  In the form of drones, we have got a smart tool that is going to be part and parcel of common people’s lives”, he said.

He also highlighted the importance of drone technology in the fields of defence, disaster management, agriculture, tourism, film and entertainment. He said that the use of this technology is bound to increase in the coming days. The Prime Minister also narrated the use of drones in his official decision making through examples of PRAGATI reviews and Kedarnath projects.

The Prime Minister said that drone technology is going to play a major role in empowering farmers and modernize their lives. As villages are witnessing the arrival of roads, electricity, optical fibre and digital technology. Still, agriculture work is being conducted in old ways, leading to hassles, low productivity and wastage. He also talked about continued dependence on the revenue department with regard to activities ranging from land records to flood and drought relief. The drone has emerged as an effective tool to tackle all these issues, he said. The Prime Minister also said that measures taken to help agriculture sectors have ensured that technology is no longer intimidating for the farmers.

As per a Weibo leak, in addition to PlayStation 5 production plans, Sony also revealed some first-party video adaptations of the game during an earlier investor briefing. During the Q&A session, they confirmed that Horizon, God of War, and Gran Turismo are all about to be adapted into new TV series. The first two of which belong to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video platforms, and the episodes of “Romance in Sports Cars (Gran Turismo)” are also in preparation. However, the dates and other specs are still unknown for this one.

Just the way people have loved playing these games on Play Stations, the TV series is also going to be packed with thrill and adventure. Apple is likely to miss the usual launch cycle for its next iPhone this year. The US-based tech giant is preparing for iPhone 14 this fall. However, speculations are high that this schedule might get delayed due to unprecedented global chip shortage and production delays in China due to lockdown.

According to a new report, iPhone 14 Pro Max development is running behind the schedule by three weeks due to lockdown in China. iPhone 14 series is likely to be launched around September.

Despite an ease in lockdown, Apple could still struggle to make up for the time that is already lost, claims Nikkei Asia report. Suppliers have reportedly been asked to speed up product development by the Apple.

According to the report, iPhone 14 delays are specific to the engineering verification test when suppliers finalise the parts and processes needed to start production. Realme’s Madhav Sheth promises to bring Pad X in India soon

Soon after launching in China, Madhav Sheth, VP of Realme and President of realme International Business Group has teased the launch of Pad X to Indian consumers soon. Sheth has promised to confirm the launch of Pad X after 300 retweets on his post on the Twitter, posted on May 27. The post has already been retweeted by more 500 times. However, Sheth is yet to reveal any further development related to the launch of Pad X in India.

For now, his announcement is limited to confirming the launch in India. The post indicates that the Star Grey colourway of the Realme Pad X is headed to India. The other two variants, Sea Salt Blue and Bright Chessboard Green are expected to be launched to the Indian market.

In another development, Realme Pad X has reportedly received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

Powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM, the Realme Pad X made its debut in China on May 26. The company’s latest tablet features an 11-inch 2K display and is equipped with a quad speaker setup.

Packed with an 8,340mAh battery which is supported by 33W fast charging, Pad X also offers support for the Realme Magnetic Stylus and smart keyboard, which are sold separately.

The Realme Pad X is currently available for pre-booking in China, in Bright Green Chessboard, Sea Salt Blue, and Star Grey (translated) colour options. The Pad X carries the price of CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 15,000)  for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model, while 6GB RAM + 128GB variant is priced Rs CNY 1599 (roughly Rs. 18,400).

Realme Pad X specifications

Launched in China on May 26, Realme Pad X runs on Realme UI 3.0 for Pad. The tablet comes with an 11-inch 2K resolution LCD display with 450 nits of peak brightness and DC dimming support. Users can expand the available memory up to 11GB by utilising up to 5GB of unused storage.

The Realme Pad X is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with 105-degree field-of-view for selfies and video chats.

Connectivity options on the tablet include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, and a USB Type-C port. It also supports the Realme Magnetic Stylus and smart keyboard.

Currently, Realme is preparing to inaugurate its first Global Flagship Store in India. According to the latest update, Realme will open its first Global Flagship Store in Ahmedabad. The store will open its doors to the customers on June 1.

Other pads by Realme in India

On April 4, 2022, Realme launched its Pad Mini in India. Featuring an 8.70-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 800×1340 pixels, Realme Pad Mini is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T616 processor.

Powered by a 6400mAh battery, Pad Mini has 3GB of RAM and it runs Android 11. For photography and videography, the Pad Mini is equipped with 8-megapixel camera in the back and a 5-megapixel camera is there on the front for selfies and video calling. Realme Pad Mini price in India starts at Rs. 10,999 and it measures 211.80 x 124.50 x 7.60mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 372.00 grams. It was launched in Blue and Grey colours.

Connectivity options on the Realme Pad Mini include USB Type-C and Wi-Fi. Sensors on the tablet include accelerometer.

MediaTek recent launches: Dimensity 1050, Dimensity 930 and Helio G99

MediaTek recently announced the Dimensity 1050 SoC, its first mmWave 5G chipset that will power the next generation of 5G smartphones with seamless connectivity, displays, gaming and power efficiency. Through dual connectivity using mmWave and sub-6GHz, the Dimensity 1050 will deliver the speeds and capacity required to provide smartphone users with an incredible experience, even in some of the most densely populated areas, it said.

The company also introduced two additional chipsets – Dimensity 930 and Helio G99 – to expand its 5G and gaming chipset families respectively. Realme unveiled its GT Neo 3 Naruto Edition

Realme was working on a special Naruto-edition phone, even teased on the brand’s Weibo account. Since the brand only teased the packaging with the official collaboration notice, now it has teased the first look of the phone. This is not the first time the brand has come up with an anime edition phone for the fans. The Realme GT Neo 2 Dragon Ball Z edition attracted a lot of the crowd. Now, it’s time to bring Naruto back with the new Realme GT Neo 3 Naruto Edition.

Talking about the design of the smartphone, it features a combination of orange in its lower half and black and silver, making the upper half. It also features the symbol of the leaf village (Konohagakure), Naruto’s home. Now, the phone is designed in a way that the fans will love every little detail that has been added to it. For instance, it has a leaf-shaped ejector tool, scroll-shaped accessories, especially the phone case and more. It will also get the Naruto stickers with a special Naruto case in the box.

Instagram got down for millions of users

Meta’s popular image-sharing platform, Instagram, got down due to some technical errors. Millions of users reported issues like logging errors, feed refresh/loading errors etc. The same was also tracked on Thursday, by the outage-tracking website Downdetector.com. The platform tracks such outages by collating status reports from several sources including user-submitted errors on its platform.

The report says that around 6,000 users faced the same difficulties and reported the same with the Downdetector site. Also, Twitter was loaded with these hilarious memes pointing towards this outage. Meta did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

Google is set to roll out the ability to use keyboard shortcuts for the basic and necessary cut, copy, and paste options in the Drive. So, as long as the user is using the drive, they will get the shortcuts on the side as well. The feature is said to use the— okay, hold on just a minute here. Are you really trying to tell me that we couldn’t already do this?
