Future iPhone to have no bezels at all: Apple is asking iPhone suppliers for screens without any bezel; in talks with Samsung & LG for Display

0
iPhone

HIGHLIGHTS

* Future iPhones may come without any visible bezels on the front.
* Apple is already in discussions with display suppliers such as LG and Samsung for the development of the new technology.
* It could also implement an under-display camera, a major revamp in the internals would be required.

A future iPhone could have an extremely expansive display, with Apple asking its suppliers to develop a version that loses the need for a front bezel at all.

When Apple introduced the edge-to-edge display in its iPhone X, the company considerably increased the amount of the front of the iPhone dedicated to the display.

If Apple’s intentions for a future iteration come true, there could be even less space wasted by non-display elements.

In a Monday report from TheElec, Apple has made a request to screen suppliers Samsung Display and LG Display to develop a version of an OLED display that eliminates front bezels completely.

As part of the same request, Apple also wants improvements to the Thin Film Encapsulation (TFE) and under-panel camera (UPC) technologies. It also wants a more secure antenna space on top.

Both Samsung and LG are said to be working on the bezel-less OLEDs, as per Apple’s request.

Apple iPhone Bezels
Tipster IceIniverse that apple is in touch with South Korean Display Suppliers ( Samsung & LG)

While Samsung has progressed with a curved edge display in its smartphones, a technique other vendors have also used, Apple apparently rejected the technology.

This was seemingly due to an optical distortion of the technique and an increased vulnerability to external shocks.

Creating a flat bezel-less display has its challenges, such as making the outer film encapsulation thinner and some limitations of UPC tech, including making components like the camera indistinguishable from the rest of the display.

Making the TFE thinner is a challenge since it consists of a tacking of inorganic and organic films, with the first blocking moisture and oxygen and the second increasing its flexibility.

iPhone with an under Display Camera
iPhone with an under Display Camera

Thinning the inorganic film makes it harder to block moisture while doing the same to the organic film makes it tougher to block fine gaps in the inorganic film.

A thinner TFE process also makes it harder to add touch electrodes required for such displays to operate.
It is unclear when Apple will incorporate such displays into its product lineup, but it will probably take a few cycles to properly surface.

TheElec does have a good record when it comes to supply chain rumors, and less so for feature claims. It’s framed the rumor as stemming from the supply chain, making it more believable than not.

Apple iPhone Bezels Are Getting Smaller, But Will They Ever Totally Disappear?

Thin Film Encapsulation
Example Concept

As you know, Apple prefers to focus on developing its own technology rather than manufacturing it.
This means they rely on manufacturers like Foxconn and TSMC to actually make their products like iPhone and Mac.

The story is similar for screen technologies. The company doesn’t make their own screens, so they work with companies like Samsung and LG.
So, if the tech giant wants to make a phone with a bezel-less OLED display, they’ll have to collaborate with these competitors.

However, creating an iPhone with no bezels is not an easy task. To achieve this, Apple would need to move all the electronic parts that currently live in the bezel to underneath the screen.

 notch-less iPhone display
Future Of Display-Bezel Less iPhone

This involves making big advancements in two technologies called “Thin Film Encapsulation” and Under Panel Camera.
TFE, is like a protective coat for the screen, made of several thin layers of special materials.

This “coat” protects the OLED screen from getting damaged by moisture and oxygen. Apple is asking for these protective layers to be even thinner than they are now.

In this way, the company plans to achieve a full-screen experience not only by making the frames thin by simply arranging the circuits, but also by placing sensors such as the front camera and Face ID under the screen.

Although similar technology is already used in some Android models, the image clarity is not up to par due to insufficiently thin screen layers. Imagine looking through a window with a mosquito net; you can see outside, but the net affects the view’s quality.

Completely Bezel Less iPhone with a Glass Unibody
Completely Bezel Less iPhone with a Glass Unibody

This could be a problem for a phone known for its camera quality. And it’s not just Apple; other big players like Samsung, Huawei, and Vivo also believe this technology needs more development before it’s ready for their top-tier models.

Furthermore, there are additional concerns to address. Apple is reportedly worried about potential antenna interference, which is a critical issue.

Plastic is an excellent material for signal transmission, which is why we can find plastic lines on the stainless steel frames used in iPhones. However, these lines have faced criticism in the past due to their negative impact on the phone’s durability.

Despite using plastic frames on the display for smooth signal traffic, they may not be enough to solve the problem.

Relocating the antennas beneath the display could lead to interference with cellular and Wi-Fi signals, creating further complications.

Crystal Vision- iPhone that will look Liker "Piece of GlasS"
Crystal Vision- iPhone that will look Liker “Piece of GlasS”

As a result, the development of the much-awaited ‘bezel-less’ iPhone might take an extended period to complete. Consequently, Apple’s plans for releasing a smartphone with a bezel-less OLED display remain uncertain.

Nevertheless, reports suggest that the company is actively collaborating with Samsung Display and LG Display to overcome these technical challenges.

If they succeed, Apple’s bezel-less iPhone would undoubtedly mark a significant innovation in the smartphone market.

iPhone with an under-display camera : Will this wish come true Another difficulty would be applying an even thinner touch sensor technology. An Under Panel Camera (UPC) could be implemented by this future generation of iPhones.

Samsung uses an early version of this technology for their Galaxy Z Fold series of devices and has named it UDC.

Future iPhone to have no Bezels
Future iPhone to have no Bezels

However, there are quality concerns as the display pixels block a good amount of light that can enter the camera sensor and the hole is still clearly visible at certain angles.

This new generation of panels would greatly help iPhone seem like a sleek slab of glass with an uninterrupted display.

The brand currently uses a notch on more affordable models while a Dynamic Island is present on the iPhone 14 Pro.

The full range of the new iPhone 15 series is expected to adopt the Dynamic Island which is the shape of a pill at the top of the display.
iPhone 15 series is also expected to feature much thinner bezels than its predecessors.

Apple iPhone Bezels-Smaller or No More
Apple iPhone Bezels-Smaller or No More

Faqs

1) Is Apple in talks with Samsung and LG for the supply of new panel technology?

Ans) The trillion-dollar company is apparently looking for a design that completely eliminates the bezels on the front of the device.

Apple is looking into panels that will appear to users like a piece of glass slab and continue with flat edges for their devices. The brand is not interested in curved displays similar to what Samsung and Chinese phones implement due to image distortion and durability issues.

Tipster Ice Universe tweeted that Apple is in touch with South Korean display suppliers, Samsung and LG Displays for the new technology.
The major challenge with the development would be bending all the circuits present in the bezel of the screen.

Further, antenna interference would need to be taken care of.
A new generation of TFE (thin film encapsulation for AMOLED displays) would need to be implemented to ensure that moisture and oxygen do not affect the screen.

2) Apple pushing suppliers to develop truly ‘bezel-less’ iPhone displays.Detailed Report ?

Ans) While iPhone bezels have gotten significantly smaller over the last several years, Apple wants its suppliers to do even more. According to a new supply chain report today, Apple is pushing Samsung and LG to develop technology that would truly make iPhone displays “bezel-less.”

The report comes via The Elec, which says that Apple has requested that LG Display and Samsung Display “develop OLED that removes all iPhone front bezels.”

To do this, Samsung and LG would need to improve different aspects of the iPhone display hardware, including the thin-film encapsulation and under-panel camera hardware. “It is a technology that still needs time to be applied for mass production,” the report explains.

The report goes on to explain that Apple is opposed to employing the curved edge displays used by Samsung on its flagship smartphones. In Samsung’s case, the company uses a “magnifying glass effect” around the edge of the phone display to make it appear truly bezel-less. Apple, however, has been “reluctant” to use this same approach.

Without applying a curved display like this, it is said that in order to implement the bezel design that Apple wants, it is possible to bend all of the circuits currently in the bezel area under the display. At this time, we need to free up antenna space and solve the interference problem.

Challenges to implement the bezel-less screen include thin film bag (TFE) and underpanel camera (UPC) technology. Product outer thin film bags should be thinner than they are now, and UPCs can be made so that they are not easily distinguished from the rest of the display to expand user immersion.

While these plans are further down the line, Apple is still aiming to significantly reduce the size of the bezel on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Even doing this, however, has led to production issues, particularly for LG. A report last week suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro could face severe supply shortages due to production issues for the new display technology.

Netflix Implements Password Sharing Restrictions in India: Learn About the New Rules, and More

0
Netflix's password

Highlights

  • Netflix’s password sharing crackdown has begun in India and it aims to tackle unauthorised access of one account by multiple users.
  • Stricter security measures are going to be implemented to detect suspicious login patterns for devices that are outside a set household.
  • The limit on simultaneous streaming devices will still apply in India as per the subscription plan.
  • Similar practices have already been implemented by Netflix in the US market and surprisingly it has seen a rise in subscriber growth

Undoubtedly, Netflix, the OTT giant, has revolutionised the consumption of video content. With an extensive collection of movies, TV shows, and original content, all just a click away, it has rightfully earned its reputation as a pioneering platform in the world of online streaming.

However, with the rise of several new players in the OTT industry, such as Amazon, HBO, Disney and more, Netflix’s market share is dwindling.

Add to that a very big issue that has persistently challenged the streaming giant is password sharing.

With multiple users often sharing a single account, Netflix basically is faced with significant revenue losses that are further making it lose ground on its competitors.

Taking a bold stance, the company announced a sweeping password sharing crackdown that commenced in May with the United States.

Many users thought that it would be the end of Netflix and that its subscribers would move to other platforms rather than paying for the service.

The effect has been the opposite with Netflix announcing that it gained a whopping 5.9 million subscribers in the second quarter of 2023.

It would appear that users are now willing to shell out money and get a Netflix subscription rather than moving towards the competition.
Now the American streaming giant’s password crackdown shenanigans are coming to India as well.

Let’s explore the implications of this move by Netflix, its potential impact on users, and the broader industry implications it may bring.

What will Netflix’s password crackdown entail?

Netflix’s password crackdown entail
Netflix’s password crackdown entail

It used to be extremely easy for several users to log into one account if they knew the password. Netflix is now going to limit it to one household only.

Anyone trying to log in from outside the registered household will not be given access to the Netflix account.

The company said on its website “Everyone living in that household can use Netflix wherever they are — at home, on the go, on holiday — and take advantage of new features like Transfer Profile and Manage Access and Devices.”

So, what exactly defines a household and how will members be able to log on to Netflix when they are outside?

Basically, Netflix will be using the users’ IP address, account activity and other identifiers to know if the device you are using to log in is from the same household.

Once it has registered the number of users in a particular household, these members are free to access the service wherever they wish.

Registering for Netflix Household

Registering for Netflix Household
Registering for Netflix Household
  • The first step would be to register a Netflix Household. To do this go the Netflix TV app and go the ‘Get Help’ tab. You should see ‘Manage Netflix Household’ option. Click on it.
  • After that you will be asked for a confirmation if the TV you are currently operating is in your Netflix Household
  • A verification will then go to your registered email or mobile number with a link that contains further instructions.
  • Upon clicking this link Netflix will take you to a web page which shows all devices that are currently connected to your home Wi-Fi network.
  • After you click confirm, all devices that are connected to your Wi-Fi will be registered as household devices. You can carry these devices outside your home and log out/log in with ease. No other device will be able to connect on the same account.
  • Users who try to access an account but are not registered to a household will get a message that will tell them to create a new account.

What could this mean for the Indian market?

Netflix’s password
Netflix’s password

The significance of this step, at least for India remains to be seen. Netflix is the world’s largest OTT platform, in terms of subscribers, but in India it occupies a very small percentage of the total market.

Local players like Disney+ Hotstar, Sony LIV, and now recently Jio Cinema have garnered considerably more subscriber numbers.
However, if the US market trend is anything to go by, Netflix’s Indian subscribers may start to grow gradually.

The company has also invested a lot on original content in several Indian languages, which may work in favour of increasing user growth.

The far-reaching effects of Netflix’s password crackdown in India should become clear in the company’s earnings report for the upcoming quarter.

FAQs

Ans) Xiaomi will be introducing its new X Smart TV series in India next week, which will succeed the X Smart TVs launched last year. The new ones are expected to be ‘big‘ on almost everything like the experience, audio, and entertainment.

We can expect a big display and a bezel-less design but not much is known as of now. To recall, the X series currently includes 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch models, so, maybe a 65-inch or a 75-inch TV could be in the pipeline.

The new TV series will join the Xiaomi TV X Pro series (and even the X TV series), which comes with support for 4K, Dolby Atmos, Google TV, and more. The 2023 X TV series could include similar specs but with some upgrades. The price is another factor, which we are not privy to. However, the new Xiaomi TV X series could fall under Rs 45,000.

2) Xiaomi Smart TV A series specifications and features.Details?

Ans) The Xiaomi Smart TV A series is offered in 32, 40, and 43-inch screen sizes with a metal bezel-less design. Chinese smartphone company Infinix is gearing up to unveil the Infinix GT 10 series, which will likely include the GT 10 Pro and the GT 10 Pro+, in several markets, including India.

Although the company has not yet revealed the launch date of the upcoming series yet, their India availability has been revealed.

Infinix is gearing up for the launch of the Infinix GT series smartphones such as the Infinix GT 10 Pro and the Infinix GT 10 Pro+. A couple of days back, the renders as well as live images of the Infinix GT 10 Pro had leaked.

The leaked renders revealed that the Infinix GT 10 series will be featuring a semi-transparent design at the rear which will also house mini LEDs similar to the Nothing Phone 2.

While Infinix is yet to reveal the launch date of these devices, it is now confirmed that the Infinix GT 10 series will be available for purchase via Flipkart.

Recently leaked renders indicate that the upcoming Infinix GT 10 Pro and GT 10 Pro+ will likely feature Nothing’s transparent design style.

These phones are focused on gaming and appear to have a semi-transparent back, much like the Nothing Phone (2).
However, it seems that the Infinix GT 10 Pro might not have LED strips, so it may not light up like the newly released Nothing Phone (2) after all.

According to a new report by GSMArena, the vanilla model in the new series, the Infinix GT 10 Pro is coming to India in the month of August, and then release elsewhere. It is expected to provide “high gaming features” at an “affordable price.”

The report also revealed some official images of the phone showcasing its semi-transparent design in two colour options. However, the GT 10 Pro does seem to lack LED strips though, so it may not light up like the Phone (2) after all.

As per the report, the phone is tipped to house a MediaTek Dimensity series chipset. It will feature a triple camera setup with 108MP main camera and a ring-like flashlight design.

Infinix has also optimized this phone for popular games such as PUBG, MLBB, and Free Fire for a better gaming experience.

When it comes to the software, the phone will come with Android 13-based XOS 13 and receive just one Android upgrade and two years of security patches.

Interestingly, the box of the phone will transform into an eco-friendly amplifier for Infinix GT 10 Pro’s in-built speaker.

We reported on the device’s existence back in March and it was expected to be a flagship model in the brand’s range however that does not seem to be the case anymore.

Infinix GT 10 Pro, a gaming smartphone landing in early August

aming smartphone
Gaming Smartphone

According to latest information , Infinix is working on a gaming-oriented smartphone that is due to launch in the first week of August, starting in India.

This will be called Infinix GT 10 Pro, and is aiming to provide high gaming features at an affordable price.
The phone’s back seems to adopt a Nothing-like semi-transparent design, although the design is quite far from that of the Nothing phones.

The camera island especially seems like it’s from an entirely different world. There’s also a prevailing ‘gaming phone’ aesthetic here, which is fitting.

We see three camera sensors on the back, and a ring LED flash.
The main sensor will have 108 MP resolution according to the inscription on the diagonal stripe inside the camera island.

There’s a Dimensity chipset at the helm, although our source hasn’t shared which exact one. We do however know that games like PUBG, MLBB, and Free Fire will be specially optimized to deliver impressive frame rates and stunning visuals on the GT 10 Pro.

The box lets you use it to build an eco-friendly music amplifier, so it doesn’t just sit around on a shelf, useless, once you’ve taken the phone out.

XOS 13 based on Android 13
XOS 13 based on Android 13

The Infinix GT 10 Pro will be available in at least two colors, as seen below – a darker one and a white. It will run XOS 13 based on Android 13.

The experience will be close to stock, and the phone will get one major Android update and two years of security updates, as will all members of the GT series.
GT 10 Pro’s launch is still a few weeks away.

Earlier this week, Infinix revealed via a press release that the company is working on a smartphone that will resemble the Nothing Phone 2, sharing a diagram of the phones next to each other with a similar curved LED notification strip located at the centre of the rear panel.

At the time, the Chinese smartphone firm had suggested that the phone will debut as part of a new GT series of phones aimed at gamers.

The images leaked on Weibo match the diagram shared by Infinix, including the camera module that is aligned to the top left corner of the phone..

Nothing CEO Carl Pei responded to a tipster who posted the information leaked by the company, stating that it was “Time to get the lawyers ready”.

However, it is currently unclear whether these LED strips on the Infinix GT 10 Pro+ will mimic the functionality of Nothing’s smartphones.

Infinix had recently launched the Infinix Hot 30 5G smartphone in India last week. The Infinix Hot 30 5G features a 6.78-inch display, Dimensity 6020 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM and a 50MP dual-camera setup.

The handset is priced at Rs 12,499 in India and it comes in Knight Black and Aurora Blue colours.

iPhone 14 Gift Scam: Gujarat man loses Rs 7 lakhs; How ‘Bhai’s Call’ From ‘+92’ Country Code Number Can Create A Problem

iPhone 14 Gift Scam

HIGHLIGHTS

* Virag Doshi from Dhandhuka in Ahmedabad district fell victim to a virtual number scam.
* Excited about possibly getting an iPhone 14 for free, Doshi promptly paid the fee as instructed.
* Even after paying the amount, Doshi never received the promised iPhone or watch.

Apple iPhones have wide popularity in India. And because of this craze, it is also a medium for fraudsters to dupe people.

In the latest case, scammers are luring people into believing they can claim a brand-new iPhone by paying a small token amount.
However, this ends up being more than the cost of an iPhone, and the person ends up as a victim of this fraud.

In recent cases, the scammers are using virtual mobile numbers with country code
+92′ of Pakistan to dupe people in India and worldwide into believing that ‘Bhai’ would call them and offer them a lucrative gift like the latest iPhone.

But this is not as straightforward as it appears to be.

For some time, cybercriminals are misusing virtual numbers with the +92 country code, often linked to Pakistan, to commit different kinds of fraud.
Now, a 24-year-old man from Gujarat has fallen prey to such a scam where he lost 7 lakh in order to get the iPhone 14 as a free gift.

Here’s how this new fraud unfolds.

Man loses Rs 7 lakh in iPhone 14 Gift Scam

iPhone 14 Gift Scam
iPhone 14 Gift Scam

As per a TOI report, there’s been an increase in scams where fraudsters deceive people with lines like ‘Bhai will call from Dubai’ to trick them into their traps.

They offer tempting rewards, like a brand-new iPhone 14, claiming it’s a discounted item from Dubai. However, unaware of the consequences, victims fall for these offers, not realizing the grave implications they might face.

Similarly, Virag Doshi from Dhandhuka in Ahmedabad district fell victim to a virtual number scam.
He received a message on his Instagram account claiming he won a free iPhone 14 from ‘Bade Bhai and Chhote Bhai’ and needed to pay Rs 3,000 as a token fee via UPI.

Excited about possibly getting an iPhone 14 for free, Doshi promptly paid the fee as instructed.

The next day, he got a call from a +92 country code number, where the caller posed as ‘Bade Bhai’ from Dubai and assured Doshi that his iPhone 14 and a watch were ready for delivery at Surat airport.

The following day, ‘Sanjay Sharma’ called, speaking in Gujarati, and asked for an additional Rs 8,000 for delivery. Trusting the scammers, Doshi paid the amount that was asked by the scammers. However, he never received the promised iPhone or watch.

Upon checking his bank account, Doshi discovered that a huge Rs 6.76 lakh had been debited between April 18th and May 7th. The fraudsters had emptied his account without his knowledge, as per the report.

Later, inspector P N Zinzuwadia of Dhandhuka police revealed that the 24-year-old businessman had unknowingly paid the money to the scammers without realizing the significant sum he was transferring.

How does the iPhone 14 Gift Fraud?

According to a Times of India report, it all starts with a call from a fraudster who says:
“Bhai will call from Dubai” for the gift, which is Apple’s iPhone 14 in most cases.

Considering the general reputation of the country for cost-effective Apple smartphones, a user easily believes they might get a discounted offer.

The fraudsters dupe people into believing that ‘Bhai’ is from a famous shop in Dubai and offers the victim a cheap or free iPhone in exchange for a token amount.

Live Fraud Incident

A businessman from Dhandhuka in Ahmedabad is among the fresh victims of this fraud.
He ended up losing Rs 7 lakh in an attempt to chase a phone that costs around Rs 80,000 in India.

The 24-year-old was drawn by a message (in April) on Instagram that claimed he “got a free iPhone 14 from Bade Bhai and Chote Bhai,” which he can claim after paying Rs 3,000 to a UPI account.

Once he transferred the requested amount, he received a call from a number with
country code +92, and the person addressed himself as Bade Bhai from Dubai. The person told him the iPhone 14 and a watch is ready to ship to Surat airport.

Just one day after all this started, a man called the victim to inform him that the order
was in Surat and asked for Rs 8,000 to ship the package.
The man did this too. However, the parcel still did not reach the intended receiver. The communication numbers went unreachable in May.

As these events unfolded, he checked through his bank statement, which displayed a lapse of Rs 6.76 lakh during the fraud period.

However, it turns out the businessman had made the payment unknowingly, and no individuals from Pakistan were involved in this fraud, said a Police official cited in the report.

How to avoid such iPhone Scams?

A user must reject such lucrative offers at face value and report them to the concerned authorities at the first site.

No online transaction should be made to the fraudster in any case. Plus, users can search media reports to explore more about suspected activity.

2) Bhai will get iPhone 14 from Dubai: Ahmedabad man narrates how scammers robbed him of Rs 7 lakh on Instagram.Details?

Ans) In recent times, India has witnessed a concerning trend where cybercriminals are exploiting virtual numbers with the +92 country code, commonly associated with Pakistan, to carry out fraudulent activities. Recently, the scammers have started cheating people by using lines like ‘Bhai will call from Dubai’ to lure unsuspecting individuals into falling for their traps.

The fraudsters promise attractive rewards, such as a brand-new iPhone 14, to potential victims under the pretext of receiving discounted items from Dubai. Little do the victims know that accepting the tempting offer would lead to grave consequences.

As per TOI report, Virag Doshi, a 24-year-old businessman from Dhandhuka in Ahmedabad district, recently became one of the victims of this virtual number scam. On April 18, Doshi received a message on his Instagram account. It said, “Congratulations! You’ve won a free iPhone 14 from Bade Bhai and Chhote Bhai. Just pay a small fee of Rs 3,000. Use UPI to pay on the given number.”

Excited about the prospect of getting a phone worth about Rs 70,000 for free, Doshi eagerly paid a token fee of Rs 3,000 as instructed through UPI on the given number.

The next day, Doshi received a call from a phone number displaying the +92 country code. The caller, posing as ‘Bade Bhai’ from Dubai, assured Doshi that his iPhone 14 and a watch were packed and ready for delivery at Surat airport. Delighted, Doshi awaited his prized possessions.

On the following day, ‘Sanjay Sharma’ called Doshi, claiming to be in charge of delivering the parcel. Fluent in Gujarati, Sharma demanded an additional Rs 8,000 for the delivery. Trusting the scammers, Doshi complied and paid the amount. However, to his dismay, he never received the promised iPhone or watch.

Realizing that he had fallen victim to a deceitful plot, Doshi checked his bank account and discovered that a staggering Rs 6.76 lakh had been debited between April 18 and May 7. Unbeknownst to him, the fraudsters had emptied his bank account.

Inspector P N Zinzuwadia of Dhandhuka police revealed that Doshi had unknowingly paid the money to the scammers himself, oblivious to the substantial sum he was transferring. Importantly, there was no actual involvement of any Pakistani individual, as the fraudsters simply employed virtual numbers to execute their fraudulent activities.

Authorities from the cyber cell of CID (crime) have reported a growing number of similar cases nationwide, where scammers leverage Pakistani numbers to impersonate ‘Bade Bhai and Chhote Bhai’ from a reputed shop in Dubai, enticing victims with the promise of free or cheap iPhones.

This alarming trend of virtual number fraud has extended its reach even to certain places abroad, causing concern among law enforcement agencies. As the perpetrators continue to deceive innocent victims with their deceptive ‘Bhai ka Call’ trick, staying vigilant and cautious when dealing with unknown calls and offers becomes crucial in the fight against cybercrime. Awareness and caution are our best defense against falling prey to such clever scams.

As Flipkart prepares to introduce Flipkart Plus Premium, the company is expected to offer enhanced benefits and an improved shopping experience without any additional costs.

The platform is soon expected to host an Independence Day sale in the coming weeks or days, and there are chances that the new Plus Premium membership could be revealed during that time or before it.

As of now, there is no official announcement about the Independence Day sale, but the company runs it every year to offer big discounts to Indians. Hence, Flipkart is expected to host one this year too. One can expect another big sale event to take place on Flipkart before Diwali.

Flipkart has more Big Billion Days sale planned for September and October where it will offer multiple deals and discounts on a range of products.
