Camera Capabilities
Vivo V29: Camera
The camera setup is one of the main highlights of this device, especially the 50MP OIS night camera.
Our initial tests in low-light scenariosproduced detailed and colour-accurate pictures, further enhanced by a dedicated Night Mode.
The Smart Aura lightfeature managed to outperform standard flash setups for photography.
During daylight, the dynamic range and focus speed were ample, producing crisp shots.
Although not the fastest in its segment considering the price tag, it did perform satisfactorily without any noticeable stutter or lag.
The software experience is in line with what one would expect from FunTouchOS—customisable but with a tinge of bloatware.
Battery Life
Vivo V29: Battery
While a 4,600mAh battery might appear to be on the smaller side when compared to the 5,000mAh batteries commonly found in this price range, the phone offers 80W fast charging capabilities.
This means you can top up your device quickly, which somewhat compensates for the slightly smaller battery capacity.
Verdict
Vivo V29: Verdict
The Vivo V29 aims to be a strong contender in its segment, offering a balanced mix of design, display quality, and camera capabilities.
While it may not boast the fastest chipset in the segment, it compensates with an array of features that aim to provide a satisfactory user experience.
As for the battery, we’ll have to reserve judgment until we can fully test its lifespan.

Ques) Samsung Galaxy F54 5G First Impressions: Big Numbers?
Ans) The Samsung Galaxy F54 5G is a brand new entry in the company’s F series, with a stronger focus on design and cameras while still packing a massive battery. The latter has been a staple feature of the series over the years and it continue to be one of the highlights of the F54 5G too. We spent some time with the new phone and here’s what we think about it.
The Samsung Galaxy F54 5G comes in the typical anorexic box, hinting at the limited number of bundled accessories. There’s a paper sleeve hidden in the lid which contains the USB Type-C cable, SIM eject tool and some documentation.
You don’t get a charger along with the phone. The Galaxy F54 5G comes in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and has an introductory price of Rs. 27,999.
We received the Stardust Silver colour of the Samsung Galaxy F54 5G which has a striking appearance. It’s a chunky phone at 8.4mm in thickness but it manages to feel a little lighter than it looks, despite packing a 6,000mAh battery inside.
The phone supports 25W fast charging, but you’ll have to use your existing charger or buy one separately. This silver finish attracts fingerprints and dust very easily, so it’s not the easiest to maintain.
The fingerprint sensor in the power button works well and only requires a tap to authenticate, rather than a press. There’s no headphone jack but the SIM tray is the hybrid type, which means you can expand the internal storage.
Samsung boasts of giving the Galaxy F54 5G a flagship design, just like its S23 series. This give the F54 an up-market look, but also dilutes the exclusivity of its flagship series a bit in my opinion. The Galaxy F54 has rounded edges everywhere, making it quite comfortable to hold.
The phone uses a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with a full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The bezels around the display are a bit thick and there’s a hole-punch cutout for the 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Samsung is promising improved low-light performance from the rear main 108-megapixel camera, which is optically stabilised. You also get an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a 2-megapixel macro camera. We will be testing Samsung’s camera claims in the full review, so make sure you don’t miss it.
The Galaxy F54 5G is essentially a rebadged Galaxy M54 5G for India, and it gets Samsung’s recently announced Exynos 1380 SoC. It’s a 5nm SoC with a total of eight CPU cores, four for performance and four for efficiency. We expect the performance to be along the lines of a Snapdragon 700 series or MediaTek Dimensity 8000 series SoCa, but we’ll know for sure once we test it.
The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G runs One UI 5.1 which is based on Android 13. Samsung has promised four generations of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates for this phone, which is pretty good.

iPhone 15 Series Overheating
In a statement released to global media outlets, Apple acknowledged that new iPhones might experience elevated temperatures during the first few days of setup.
The company attributes this to “increased background activity” as the device familiarizes itself with user behavior and performs additional tasks to become fully operational.
Additionally, Apple revealed the existence of a bug in iOS 17, which they intend to rectify in an impending software update.
The company also highlighted issues with some third-party apps that are “overloading the system.”
Apple is in the process of collaborating with the developers of these apps to resolve the problem.

Innovative hinge technology makes OnePlus Open lighter and more robust than competitors.
Dual-market strategy allows for global launch as OnePlus Open and China-specific release as Oppo Find N3.
OnePlus Open to feature the iconic OnePlus alert slider for a fast and smooth user experience.
In a groundbreaking move that marks a new chapter for foldable smartphones, OnePlus, in collaboration with Oppo, is preparing to launch its inaugural foldable device, tentatively named the OnePlus Open.
Pete Lau, OnePlus’s co-founder and the Chief Product Officer of Oppo, unveiled some tantalizing details about the upcoming device during a candid interaction on the Unbox Therapy YouTube channel.
What’s particularly intriguing is that the same device will be released under Oppo’s brand as Find N3, albeit confined to the Chinese market.
The Hinge: A Feat of Engineering?
One of the most noteworthy features of the OnePlus Open is its innovative hinge system.
Reportedly lighter yet more robust than that of its Oppo counterpart, the Oppo Find N2, the hinge system is also said to comprise fewer components.
This, according to Lau, renders the device 37 percent smaller in terms of hinge size.
Such an engineering feat potentially sets a new standard for foldable mechanisms, making them more robust and streamlined.
Foldable Experience, OnePlus Style
While OnePlus is not the first entrant in the burgeoning foldable market, Lau emphasized that the Open will deliver a “fast and smooth experience,” a signature OnePlus trait.
Adding a touch of brand distinctiveness, the iconic OnePlus alert slider will also make an appearance, continuing the company’s commitment to user-centric features.
The collaboration with Oppo isn’t just about shared technology; it’s also a calculated market strategy.
While the device will debut internationally as OnePlus Open, it will be restricted to the Chinese market as the Oppo Find N3.
This dual branding offers both companies a unique advantage, leveraging their respective brand strengths in different markets.
OnePlus Open First Look
No Flip, Just Fold
For fans anticipating a flip-style foldable phone from OnePlus, there might be a bit of disappointment.
Lau confirmed that the brand has no plans to venture into the flip-phone segment, citing a different target demographic for such a design.
OnePlus will solely focus on large-screen foldable smartphones, at least for now.
Teasers and Real-World Sightings
The company is in full hype-building mode, with actress Anushka Sharma recently spotted using the device in public, generating additional curiosity and excitement.
Furthermore, tests revealing the device’s ability to close without a hinge gap have been demonstrated, alluding to its solid build quality.
The OnePlus Open, developed in tandem with Oppo, appears poised to make a substantial impact in the foldable smartphone market.
Its distinct hinge technology, coupled with the classic OnePlus experience and strategic market positioning, makes it a compelling entrant in an increasingly crowded field.
As the smartphone world eagerly awaits the official launch, the OnePlus Open is already turning heads, and for good reasons.
