The Pixel Fold 2 is also likely to introduce an under-display selfie camera on its inner screen, optimizing screen real estate and achieving slimmer bezels.

The outer display has been enlarged to 6.4 inches, featuring a centrally located hole-punch camera, enhancing the device’s visual appeal and user experience.

Attention to detail in design is evident in the placement of the USB-C port, speaker grilles, and SIM tray, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.

The power and volume buttons are conveniently located on the right side, maintaining the device’s sleek appearance and user-friendly interface.

When unfolded, the Pixel Fold 2 will present a squarer shape with dimensions of 155.2 x 150.2 x 5.27 mm, offering a more compact and thinner profile compared to its predecessor and competitors like the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 6.

The streamlined design extends to the folded state, measuring 155.2 x 77.1 x 10.54 mm.

Google Pixel Fold Screen Continuity Feature may Continue

Google Pixel Fold users may be getting back a feature that made an appearance in a beta build and is now seen coming back on Android 15.

Google earlier attempted to solve this issue in an early Android 14 QPR1 beta build by introducing a setting called “Continue using apps on fold.”

This setting provided options to keep the outer screen on always, never, or only for apps like games or videos.

Unfortunately, that setting was removed and didn’t appear in later releases.

However, in the code for Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1, Android expert Mishaal Rahman found a hint at a potential return of this feature, but under the new name “Swipe up to continue.”

The feature continues to be there on the Developer Preview of Android 15, suggesting that users may get a dedicated gesture to enable app continuity between the main and outer displays seamlessly.

Currently, on Android 15 Developer Preview 1, the “continue using apps on fold” setting offers the below choices:

Always: Outer screen turns on every time you fold the device.

Only games, videos, and more: Outer screen turns on for apps that are designed to typically remain active (games, video players).

Never: Outer screen locks every time you fold the device.
