ChatGPT developer OpenAI has introduced a ‘Custom Instructions’ feature to its AI-powered chatbot.
This feature will eliminate the need for users to rewrite the same instructions repeatedly for each query.

OpenAI is adding custom instructions to its AI-powered ChatGPT chatbot so that users do not have to write the same set of instructions for each query.

In some simple words, custom instructions allow you to add preferences or requirements that they would like ChatGPT to consider when generating its responses.

This could be useful to users who use certain prompts more frequently, like “proofread this email” or “write in 1,000 words.”

OpenAI says the feature is rolling out to ChatGPT Plus members in a beta form. Regular users will receive the feature in the “coming weeks.”

The feature could also be useful for teachers and coders. For example, a teacher teaching grade three or four students can create custom instructions that they are generating for content for young students.

Chief technical officer (CTO) at OpenAI, Mira Murati, notes that the feature gives “more control” over ChatGPT.

Notably, Google released a similar feature for Bard earlier this month. The option lets users modify the generated reply. The option sits at the bottom of the generated reply based on the prompt you’ve added.

The modified feature further includes options such as “shorter“, “longer”, “simpler”, “more casual”, and “more professional.”

Unlike ChatGPT’s custom instructions, these options let users alter the tone. Google has also added support to upload images on Bard to let the AI chatbot analyse elements and give replies accordingly. The feature leverages AI technology used for Google Lens.

Redmi has been announcing its Note lineup in October each year in China. Hence, it is likely that the Note 13 series may break cover by October this year in the home market.

Xiaomi seems to be taking cues from its flagship Xiaomi 13 series for the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. Digital Chat Station (via ITHome) reported that this device will feature a flat display with extremely narrow bezels.

The camera bump comes in a square shape this time with rounded corners and a partitioned design.

While the tipster was a little ambiguous with the actual name of the device, it is widely assumed to be the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, thanks to how they have referred to the series earlier.

The screen size of the device is expected to be a 6.7-inch display and Xiaomi will likely be launching it with the upcoming MIUI 15 skin.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is expected to lack plastic brackets around the screen, similar to how it is on the POCO F5 (Redmi 12 Turbo in China).

This allows the bezels to be narrower and the display glass to be flush with the frame of the device, making the overall device body thinner.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ launched this January in India and the Note 13 Pro series could similarly make its way here early next year.

Starting from the front, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ schematic reveals that it has a punch-hole display with ultra-thin bezels similar to flagship models.

It seems that the earpiece available on the top bezel is integrated with a speaker for stereo output. It is unclear whether the device has a side-mounted or an under-display fingerprint scanner.

On the back, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a square-shaped camera module, which houses three cameras and an LED flash.
