Meta-owned instant messenger, WhatsApp, is rolling out the ability to be informed when a channel is available to certain users on Android, WABetaInfo reported.
The update is a follow-up of the app’s one-way broadcast private tool, “WhatsApp Channels”, which will notify the users about the tool’s availability on their phones.

As seen in the screenshot provided by WABetaInfo, the beta testers will see a new sheet seeking permission to inform them about the availability of the channels, if the feature is enabled on their versions of WhatsApp.

To check if this feature has been enabled on their phones, the users need to open a channel invite link. But since the channels tool is only available in Singapore and Colombia, the users need to open a channel created in one of these countries.

Though the users will be able to follow the channels only when the channel is available in their respective countries, they will at least get the feature that will notify them when the channels are available for them to join.

The WhatsApp news tracker dubbed the update “a very unexpected feature” as the company has never offered a tool to send notifications to users about the availability of a new feature.

“Need to reach positive cash flow before we have the luxury of anything else,” Musk said in a tweet replying to suggestions on recapitalization.

This is the latest sign that the aggressive cost-cutting measures since Musk acquired Twitter in October alone are not enough to get Twitter to cash flow positive, and suggests Twitter’s ad revenue may have not recovered as fast as Musk suggested in an interview in April with the BBC that most advertisers had returned to the site.

After laying off thousands of employees and cutting cloud service bills, Musk had said the company reduced its non-debt expenditures to $1.5 billion from a projected $4.5 billion in 2023.
Twitter also faces annual interest payments of about $1.5 billion as a result of the debt it took on in the $44 billion deal that turned the company private.

It is unclear what time frame Musk was referring to by the 50% drop in ad revenue. He has said Twitter was on track to post $3 billion in revenue in 2023, down from $5.1 billion in 2021.

A metallic copper frame surrounds the phone’s camera module and gives it a subtle yet evident lift. The camera lenses do not protrude and neatly fit into the camera module, and I personally love the way it looks.

The outer edges of the phone also come in a copper metallic build and, in my opinion, are the most attractive part of the phone’s design. The copper colour compliments the orange panel perfectly and there could have been no better colour option for the metallic edges.
The leather finish of the back panel also adds to the phone’s elegance and gives it a classy look, along with resulting in a great grip. Even though the phone comes with a cover in the box, the phone never slips .

Ans) During my brief usage of the phone, I scrolled through my social media feed, browsed the web, watched an episode of The Good Doctor, and played BGMI for about half an hour.
Scrolling through social media and browsing the web was an absolute delight and I have no complaints so far. The apps opened quite quickly and I was also able to switch between different apps seamlessly. iQOO claims that you can open up to 36 apps at once without facing any problems and we will surely explore this part in the detailed review.

Scrolling, with the phone’s 120Hz refresh rate, is a great experience on this device and the moment you begin using the phone, you feel like you are using a high-end device that will result in a consistently strong performance.

I didn’t notice any issues and the sound quality was also top-notch. Be it Netflix’s ta-dum sound or the show’s short yet intriguing clip, everything sounded crystal clear. The sound didn’t necessarily fill the room, but it wasn’t inadequate either.

The gaming experience on the phone was also satisfactory. The moment I dived into the world of BGMI, the phone automatically launched the multi-turbo acceleration and gave me the option of toggling the Game Assistant by gently swiping right at the top left corner.

The Game Assistant lets you enable the Esports mode, reject calls, record screen and more. We’ll explore this further in our detailed review but as of now, the experience of playing BGMI on HD graphics settings with a high frame rate was quite pleasing.

Elon Musk has been making some big changes ever since he took over Twitter. There have been some not-so-happy changes but one that will benefit users has begun.

Earlier this year in February, Musk announced that creators will be able to start earning money through ads on Twitter.

It looks like the payout has started for some creators.

Twitter has launched its ad-revenue-sharing program for creators, and eligible Blue subscribers have already started receiving payments.

Elon Musk first announced this initiative in February, but at the time, very few details were available about how it would work.

As per a tweet announcing the program, those eligible will receive a portion of the ad revenue generated from their posts, starting with replies.
Several high-profile users have reported receiving notifications about incoming deposits, claiming to a few thousands to ten thousand dollars.

These rewards are based on ads shown in replies to eligible users’ content.

The first round of payouts for creators will amount to $5 million, as per Musk, and will be cumulative from February from now on.

As per the company, the solution enhances business calls by providing a brand identity and relevant context and that likely makes the customer communication more reliable. It helps in reducing call-related frauds and scams while also improving the efficiency and safety of business communications.

Truecall has been taking measures to prevent fraud via calls for quite some time. In December 2023, the platform introduced an in-app digital government directory, enabling users to verify if a caller is a legitimate government representative or a potential fraudster. The listing reveals a motherboard codenamed taro and it comprises four cores clocked at 1.79GHz, three cores at 2.50GHz, and one core and 3GHz.

The SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.0GHz and comes with three performance cores clocked at 2.50GHz.

It also has four efficiency cores clocked at 1.79GHz. The US variant of the S23 FE has 8GB of RAM and runs Android 13 out of the box.

It will likely have One UI 5.1 on top.
The device also scored 1549 and 3718 points in Geekbench 6’s single-core and multi-core tests.

The Galaxy S23 FE global variant, on the other hand, has a different SoC. The device carries the model number SM-711B and features an SoC codenamed s5e9925, which is essentially the Exynos 2200 SoC.
