Fire-Boltt Diamond Smartwatch – Design
Fire-Boltt Diamond Smartwatch – Design
Fire-Boltt Diamond is a luxury edition smartwatch that instantly impresses with its premium-looking design.
The combination of a massive round dial, zinc alloy frame, and stainless steel straps together makes a perfect blend of style and robustness.
We received the Basic Black variant for this review and it looks great right from the first glance.
The dial has three buttons on the side.
We were expecting a rotating crown but Fire-Boltt has only provided push buttons for quick menu access.
We are particularly impressed with the black metal strap that elevates the appeal of the smartwatch.
Fire-Boltt has bundled a strap adjustor tool inside the box for used to adjust the straps according to their wrist size since the strap is quite long and most users would need adjustment before they can actually use the smartwatch.
The smartwatch has an IP76 rating for water and dust resistance.
So you can expect this to remain damage-free ensuring minor water splashes.
The overall finish is impressive and the build quality is equally good.
Fire-Boltt Diamond Smartwatch – Display
Fire-Boltt Diamond Smartwatch – Display
The highlight of Fire-Boltt Diamond is its amazing display.
It has a massive 1.43-inch AMOLED display that enhances the overall appearance and appeal of the smartwatch the moment the display turns on.
This is an Always-On displaythat wakes up based on your wrist movements.
The display comes with a 466 x 466 pixels resolution.
The colours appear quite bright and clear.
There is a sharpness on the display that makes it easier to navigate through.
Brightness levels are also good.
We tried using the smartwatch outdoors in bright sunlight and didn’t face issue display brightness issues.
The display was clear and crisp even in sunlight.
The touch response of the display, however, is an issue we faced multiple times while testing the smartwatch.
The touch often doesn’t work at once.
There is also a lag in touch response at times that makes you perform the same activity more than once.
The touch could definitely have been a bit more smoother considering the whole premium feel that Fire-Boltt is trying to build the branding on.
To change the display appearance and make it more personalised, the Fire-Boltt Diamond comes with 120+ In-built Watch Faces.
More watch faces can be downloaded from the supporting app.
Fire-Boltt Diamond Smartwatch – Features
Fire-Boltt Diamond Smartwatch – Features
The Fire-Boltt Diamond is a feature-packed smartwatch that provides almost everything that you can expect from a smartwatch of this segment.
To start with, it provides seamless Bluetooth Callingand Voice Assistance features.
You can use this smartwatch to make/answer calls and summon your voice assistant to perform other functions.
It comes with an In-built Mic and Speaker.
The call quality is good and even outdoors, you can expect to have clarity in the sound.
It includes heart rate tracking, sleep analysis, and much more.

Another impressive feature is the 4GB storage capability.
It is quite convenient as users get ample space for apps, music, and more on the smartwatch itself.
Below are some other features you get with the Fire-Boltt Diamond smartwatch:
Fire-Bollt claims that its Diamond smartwatch can easily support 7 days of runtime on a single charger.
However, battery performance entirely depends on your usage appetite.
If you are someone who indulges in a lot of Bluetooth calling and would like to utilize maximum tracking features, you cannot expect more than 2-3 days of runtime.
However, the brand has provided the following battery life details for reference –
General Standby Time – 15 days (not with Screen Always-on function turned on)
Screen Always-on Standby Time – 2 Days
Average using time – 3-4 days
We tried to test the battery performance and were able to get almost 3 days of runtime with more than 2 hours of daily calling and optimum activity tracking.
Overall, if you are an average smartwatch userand would indulge in limited Bluetooth calling, you can easily expect 4-5 days of runtime from the Fire-Boltt Diamond smartwatch.
Fire-Boltt Diamond Smartwatch – Verdict
Fire-Boltt Diamond Smartwatch – Verdict
The Fire-Boltt Diamond Smartwatch is selling in India with a price tag of Rs 4,499.
This price segment is particularly tricky as users expect some at par with premium smartwatches.
Fire-Boltt Diamond does win the battle of looks and gives tough competition in terms of features and performance as well.
This display looks great, Bluetooth calling works smoothly, and the addition of 4GB in-built storage is definitely an added advantage.
However, it is not without faults.
The major one was the display touch issues we faced during our testing period.
All-in-all, if you are looking for a smartwatch that looks luxurious, supports your fitness goals, manages multiple smart features and you also don’t mind spending a little more than those budget price tags, the Fire-Boltt Diamond could be worth considering.

Now, there’s growing concern about how AI, especially deepfakes, can be a threat to important institutions, big companies, and businesses in the real world.
Recently, the National Security Agency (NSA), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) released a “Cybersecurity Information Sheet (CSI), Contextualizing Deepfake Threats to Organizations,” which provides an overview of synthetic media threats, techniques, and trends.
Before we get to the details of the “Cybersecurity Information Sheet (CSI), Contextualizing Deepfake Threats,” let’s try to understand what are deepfakes and how serious the threat is.
What are Deepfakes?
What are Deepfakes?
According to the Cybersecurity Information Sheet (CSI), Contextualizing Deepfake Threats, “Deepfakes are AI-generated, highly realistic synthetic media that can be abused to:
Threaten an organization’s brand
Impersonate leaders and financial officers
Enable access to networks, communications, and sensitive information”
The statement also clearly outlines Deepfake social engineering, which includes:
Fraudulent texts
Fraudulent voice
messages
Faked videos
How Serious Deepfake Threats Are?
How Serious Deepfake Threats Are?
A Forbes report reveals that a Hong Kong-based bank manager in early 2020 received a deepfake call of such great quality that he ended up losing $35m (Rs 288.7 crore) of his firm.
Today, highly sophisticated AI tools are available in the public domain for people, including those with bad intentions, to use it the way they wish.
“There are now fake clone apps that scammers can use to create videos of P&L statements, ledgers, and other reports of trading platforms & bank accounts. Fake videos because they would seem more genuine than fake screenshots” said Zerodha’s Nithin Kamath on X, formerly Twitter.
How To Resist Deepfakes Following FBI and NSA Advice?
How To Resist Deepfakes Following FBI and NSA Advice?
Here are some basic steps of preparation to identify, defend against, and respond to deepfake threats.
How to select and implement technologies to detect deepfake
How to select and implement technologies to detect deepfake
First and foremost, make a copy of the media prior to any analysis.
Refer to both the original and the copy to verify an exact copy.
Always try to check the source (i.e., is the organization or person reputable) of the media before drawing conclusions.
Use Reverse Image Searches, like TinEye, Google Image Search, and Bing Visual Search, can be extremely useful if the media is a composition of images.
Keep an eye out for physical properties that would not be possible, such as feet not touching the ground.
Keep an eye out for the presence of audio filters, such as noise added for obfuscation.
Complete checks to verify vanishing points, reflections, shadows, and more.
Use tools designed to look for compression artefacts, knowing that lossy compression in media will inherently destroy lots of forensic artefacts.
Consider plug-ins to detect suspected fake profile pictures.
He emphasised how an “extensive set of technologies” is already available to “automatically detect” deepfake content.
According to the Union Minister, India is all set to bring new legislation to control the menace soon.
While speaking to the media, Indian State of Uttar Pradesh, Superintendent of Police (SP) for cybercrimes Prof. Triveni Singh said, “Deepfake is a brute reality. No employee should believe any high-priority information or instruction without two or three-factor verification. Above all, awareness is key.”
The NSA and FBI co-authored paper advised the following steps for protecting organisations against deepfake attacks:
DeepFakesWeb
Real-time verification
Companies and government departments should adopt identity verification for real-time communications, incorporating liveness in human faces and behaviour.
Passive detection
For pre-existing media, forensic analysis, including making and hashing copies, source checking, reverse image searches (using tools like TinEye or Google Image Search), visual/audio examination for manipulation signs, and metadata examination could be greatly helpful.
Advanced methods include physics-based examinations (checking vanishing points, and reflections), compression artifact analysis, and content-based tools for specific manipulations.
Protect public data of high-priority officers
To safeguard people from disinformation, use authentication techniques like watermarks and CAI standards.
Organizational security teams should plan and rehearse deepfake response strategies, report incidents to government partners, and train personnel in deepfake recognition and response.
Resources are available from the SANS Institute and MIT Media Lab.
Cross-industry partnerships
The Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) develops standards and offers tools for media content provenance.
It is currently working with more than 1,000 companies.
FAQs
Can Deepfake be used for identity theft?
Yes. Deepfake technology can be used to create new identities and steal the identities of real people.
Attackers use the technology to create false documents or fake their victim’s voice, which enables them to create accounts or purchase products by pretending to be that person.
Is watching deepfake a crime?
Watching Deepfakes isn’t against the law universally, but it becomes illegal if you share or pass on any content that breaks any rules, like if it’s inappropriate and made without the person’s permission.
Is it safe to use deepfake app?
In general, using Deepfake apps is not illegal. Many people use Deepfake apps as photo editing tools or for harmless fun. However, it can be illegal if your deepfakes breach legal codes.
How to report deepfake videos in India?
You can report deepfake videos directly on the platform or report them to your city cyber cell.
The Government of India also advises users to immediately file an FIR at their police station. The social media platforms usually take against such reported videos within 24 hours of reporting.
How to be safe from AI-based deep fake calls?
While deep fake calls can be tricky, here are some tips on how to be safe from AI-based deep fake calls:
* Be suspicious of any calls from people that you do not know or that you do not expect. If someone claims to be a friend or family member but you’re unsure of their identity, ask them a personal question only they would know. If they are unable to provide a satisfactory answer, it’s probable that the call is fraudulent.
* Do not give out personal information or money to people that you do not know or trust. If someone calls you and asks for your personal information, such as your Social Security number or credit card number, or asks for money, be aware not to share.
* If you suspect a call might be a deep fake or fraudulent, it’s best to end the call immediately and avoid answering any subsequent calls from that number. You can also independently reach out to the person using a verified phone number that you know belongs to them to verify the identity. This way, you can confirm the authenticity of the call and protect yourself from potential scams or impersonation.
* Report any suspicious calls to the police. If you receive a call that you think may be a deep fake, report it to the police. Additionally, be aware of the signs of a deep fake call. These signs can include:
* The caller’s voice may sound different than you remember it.
* The caller may be asking for personal information that they should not know.
* The caller may be asking you to do something that you would not normally do, such as send money or give out your credit card number.
Here’s what you should do if you get calls from +92 numbers.Details?
* Don’t answer the call with the +92 country code.
* Avoid messaging or calling back on that number.
* Immediately block and report the number.
* Inform WhatsApp about the calls or messages you received from the suspicious number via email.
What is behind the rise in Bollywood deepfakes?
The world of Bollywood, known for its glamour and entertainment, has been shaken by the malicious use of deepfake technology. Prominent actresses, including Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina, and Kajol, have been unwitting victims of this insidious trend.
A viral video featuring Rashmika Mandanna sparked concerns, leading PM Modi to emphasize the pivotal role of media in educating the public about the dangers of deepfake technology.
A morphed video of Rashmika Mandanna went viral, showcasing the advanced capabilities of deepfake technology. The video was manipulated to such an extent that distinguishing it from genuine footage became challenging.
Rashmika, deeply affected by the incident, took to her Instagram story to express her distress, highlighting the severe implications of such technology on personal and societal trust.
Kajol faced the repercussions of deepfake manipulation. The incident involved a British-Indian influencer Rosie Breen’s GRWM TikTok video turning into a nightmare, as Kajol’s face was seamlessly morphed into the footage.
Katrina Kaif’s case, a digitally altered image of the actress from her recently released film ‘Tiger 3’ showed the actress engaging in a fight with a stuntwoman clad in a towel, the edited version showed her wearing a low-cut white top and a matching bottom instead of the towel.

Priced at Rs 10,499, this new addition to the POCO lineup isn’t without its rivals, sharing several specifications with the Redmi 13C 5G, albeit with distinct design differences.
In this review of POCO M6 5G let’s focus on the handset’s unique aspects and how it stands up to the competition.
POCO M6 5G: Pros and Cons
Pros
Cons
Affordable 5G support
Average camera quality
Attractive gradient design
Slow bundled charger
Long battery life
Decent performance
POCO M6 5G: Design and Display
POCO M6 5G: Design
The POCO M6 5G does stand out in the crowded smartphone market.
That much is apparent instantly with the colour combination on offer.
The Orion Blue variant I reviewed showcases a striking gradient finish, changing hues when light strikes its surface.
This aesthetic choice, while visually appealing, does have a downside: the phone’s surface easily attracts fingerprints and smudges.
Aesthetically, the POCO M6 5G follows the brand’s design ethos with a prominent rectangular black bar on the rear, housing two camera rings, an LED flash, and the text ‘AI CAM’, ’50MP’, and ‘POCO’.
In terms of ergonomics, the handset is user-friendly.
POCO M6 5G: Display
It features flat edges, contributing to a comfortable grip, and is made of plastic, which helps reduce wrist strain during extended use.
Its lightweight nature, at just 195 grams, further enhances the comfort of handling the phone.
Moving to the display, the POCO M6 5G is equipped with a 6.74-inch LCD screen, offering HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
The display includes a U-shaped notch for the selfie camera and is bordered by thick bezels.
While the display provides an average experience, it’s respectable considering the phone’s price point.
The colour balance and outdoor visibility are decent, thanks to the screen’s adequate brightness.
I am quite happy with the performance of the 90Hz panel which is slightly surprising given the budget price tag.
Overall, the device gives a standard visual appeal to content being viewed on the screen, appropriate to its segment.
POCO M6 5G: Cameras
POCO M6 5G: Cameras
Now coming to the camera system, while covering basic photography needs, the POCO M6’s optics unfortunately reveal their entry-level positioning with its performance.
The primary 50MP AI lens, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor, delivers passable daytime shots.
However, these images often suffer from a lack of sharpness and detail, and the colours tend to be oversaturated.
The lack of good dynamic range is apparent, and the focus speeds are not the most optimum.
Images tend to exhibit considerable noise, and while night mode offers some improvement, it comes at the cost of reduced stability.
There are also potential lens flare situations that can reduce the quality of the photo.
This issue extends to the 5MP selfie camera as well, which struggles with clarity and accurate skin tone representation in various lighting conditions.
In terms of video capture, the POCO M6 5G performs adequately in well-lit environments.
However, when I took it in more low-light situations, noise and lack of detail became more apparent.
The absence of an ultra-wide lens I feel is a notable omission, particularly as this feature is becoming increasingly common in smartphones within this price range.
My overall impression of the camera setup is that it is passable but should have gotten a bit more attention from the POCO team.

POCO M6 5G: Performance, Software, and Features
POCO M6 5G: Performance, Software, and Features
As for the performance, the POCO M6 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, showcasing a performance that aligns with its mid-range hardware specifications.
This processing power is complemented by up to 8GB of RAM, an additional 8GB of virtual RAM, and a generous 256GB of user-expandable storage.
POCO’s choice to use UFS 2.1 storage technology is a smart one, as it matches the phone’s supported maximum storage capability, ensuring efficient data handling.
In terms of performance benchmarks, the POCO M6 5Gdelivers results that are in line with expectations for this chipset and you can check out the benchmarking scores.
It handles light gaming adequately, though it’s not suitable for more graphics-intensive games like BGMI.
The audio experience of the POCO M6 5G is managed through a mono-firing speaker. While it can get quite loud, the sound quality isn’t particularly sharp or nuanced.
One of the highlights of this phone is its 5G capability, which performs reliably on networks like Airtel, offering a glimpse into the future of high-speed internet while being on a budget.
Finally, the side-mounted fingerprint scanner functions adequately for my needs.
The presence of numerous pre-installed apps does make the software experience feel somewhat cluttered, which might be a point of consideration for users who prefer a more streamlined user interface.
POCO M6 5G: Battery and Charging
POCO M6 5G: Features and Battery
The POCO M6 5G comes equipped with a robust 5,000mAh battery, which is quite standard for current smartphones.
This battery capacity supports 18W fast charging, a feature that can significantly reduce charging time.
However, it’s worth noting that POCO has opted to include only a 10W charger in the box.
This choice results in a longer charging duration, taking over two hours to reach a fullcharge from 0 to 100 percent.
In terms of battery performance, the POCO M6 5G demonstrates impressive endurance.
Even under conditions that typically drain battery life faster – such as using a 5G SIM, enabling a high refresh rate, and setting the brightness to 80% – the device comfortably lasts a full day on a single charge.
POCO M6 5G: Final Verdict
POCO M6 5G: Final Verdict
While the POCO M6 5G stands out in many respects, particularly for those on a tight budget, it’s not without its competition and shortcomings.
Priced at Rs 10,999 for its base model, just Rs 500 more than the M6, is the POCO M6 Pro which offers better viewing, performance, selfie capabilities, and faster charging with its included 22.5W charger, despite supporting only 18W.
Furthermore, the M6 Pro is splash-resistant, adding to its value.
The POCO M6 5G works as a standard budget device with a functional design and a less-than-functional camera system.
Ultimately, if you are particularly drawn to the unique aesthetic of the POCO M6 and your budget is strictly limited, this phone could be a viable option.
