In 2011, Google Maps Street View function, which lets users explore a location through 360-degree panoramic street-level photos, was first introduced in India.

The function, which uses images captured by traveling automobiles to provide 360-degree panoramas of cities throughout the world, has come under legal and privacy scrutiny in many nations.

“Starting today, Street View will be available on Google Maps with fresh imagery intensity in India that is covering 150,000 kilometers (93,205 miles) of roads that have actually been ingested into Google Maps,” said Miriam Karthika Daniel, VP – Maps Experiences at Google, at the event. “So I’m really thrilled about how people will start using Street View and in India and see how we have suddenly changed everyday lives.”

The debut in India comes after the government denied Google approval at least twice in the last ten years due to security issues.

The company’s management stated on Wednesday that the new geospatial policy from India last year, which permits foreign map operators to deliver panoramic images by licencing the data from local partners, allowed them to meet the legal criteria.

Google stated that Tech Mahindra and Genesis were solely responsible for data collection and that the service would be made available in more than 50 Indian cities by the end of this year.

In order to address privacy concerns, Street View images will blur out people’s faces and registration plates, as per Miriam Daniel, Vice President of Google Maps Experiences.

The statement on Wednesday was timed to the launch of a related feature by MapmyIndia (CEIF.NS), the local map provider for Apple Inc. (AAPL.O). According to the company, its Mappls RealView is operational in hundreds of cities.

Which 5G bands are available in India?

As of present now, the 5G auction in India is still going on. It will end on August 14, 2022. However, several key aspects about 5G bands are already available to the general public.

These 5G frequency bands are up for sale, according to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT): 600 MHz, 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1,800 MHz, 2,100 MHz, 2,300 MHz, 3,300 MHz, 3,500 MHz, and 26 GHz.

Windows 11 Dev Build 25169 with Multi-App Kiosk Mode is now available.

Microsoft has released a new Insider Preview Build for the Dev channel, number 25169, containing a few tweaks and fixes. The update features a new multi-app Kiosk mode for IT administrators, as well as a new version for Windows Spotlight. Meanwhile, Build 22621.317 has been added to the release preview channel. Here are all the specifics.

What’s New in Windows 11 Build 25169?

The new multi-app Kiosk mode, which is a new lockdown option for IT admins, is included in Windows 11 Insider Build 25169. This will allow them to allow specific apps on the device while restricting other functions.

Access to Settings, for example, can be restricted to select apps, and the Start app can only include the approved apps, among other possibilities.

The functionality will enable the construction of separate apps and setups for different users, which will be useful in business and education.

According to a Windows Spotlight update, users may now enable the functionality directly through the new Themes area under Personalization Settings. Windows Spotlight is a function that automatically changes the background image on a regular basis. Users can also create unique themes using the revolving images in Windows Spotlight.

Aside from that, the handwriting model for US English (EN-US) has been improved to be faster and more accurate, there is now support for managing apps in Settings, and the Windows Security app version is displayed in the Windows Security settings under About.

There are also other fixes for the Explorer.

Windows 11 Build 22621.317 has also been released.

Microsoft has also issued Windows Build 22621.317 for the Release Preview channel, which is primarily concerned with bug fixes.

It resolves the issue that prevented the troubleshooters from opening, the issue that increased game latency, the issue that caused the Smart App Control to prohibit catalog-signed files, and other issues. The whole changelog is available here.

The aforementioned builds are intended for users who are signed into the Dev channel or the Release Preview channel, and there is no news on whether or not these upgrades will be made available to the general public.

There are strong rumours circulating about regarding the starting price of OnePlus 10T 5G where tipsters are giving their opinions as to how much it will cost but if an old report is to be believed, it was listed on Amazon UK at a price of GBP 799, which is around Rs.76,500 although it was taken down so, as of now, the price is uncertain.

Regarding specifications, it is going to have an internal storage of 16GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 SoC although the company has hinted at HyperBoost feature too.

We’ll have to wait for the official launch of the handset to determine the exact features as everything will be out in the open during the event thereby putting rest to all rumours and speculations.

Samsung may make two iPhone 14 OLED Displays

The iPhone 14 series is all set for launch in September of 2022 but even before coming out, there is little that is left unsaid about the model so for starters, it comes out with both Pro and non-pro variants with two models each- iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Samsung is planning on making two different panels using two different sets of material viz. M11 and M12 with LG too contributing to supply displays for iPhone 14 big time, which will prove to be a gamechanger.

The question is why is Samsung wanting two different sets of materials for the new handset? It is speculated that the company is hoping to save costs on the non pro iPhone 14 models due to shortage of composition amidst rapid rise in inflation.
