In the past, this time of year has seen the release of Samsung’s Galaxy Note smartphones, but at the moment, the company is focusing more on its S-series and Fold-series models. Galaxy Z Flip 4 will likely improve the hinge mechanism. The battery was the primary drawback of the previous Flip smartphone, but Samsung may have advanced battery technology this year. The Z Flip 4 will maintain the same clamshell-folding design with a few minor camera-related changes. It will be interesting to see if the phone supports the SPen stylus and adds an under-display selfie camera. It is anticipated that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will cost €1,109 (roughly Rs 89,900) for 128GB of storage and €1,169 (roughly Rs 94,700) for 256GB of storage. However, you should be aware that the alleged 1TB and 512GB maximum storage capacities for the Fold 4 and the Flip 4 are not mentioned. So, we don’t know whether Samsung will give us these choices.

Coming to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, you can see the phone on Amazon ahead of the launch. Although the phone still has the same design as the previous Galaxy Z Fold 3, the screen now has a wider aspect ratio. You’ll find a USB Type-C port at the bottom of the charging case with a battery power of 300mAh, which means that you can charge the earbuds five to six times approximately but you’ll find no button in the case, which is used for pairing with another device.

The upper lid of the case is quite weak and can easily come off in case the box is held upside down but when you close the box, the effect is quite soft and easy that gives a strange but happy feeling.

For enabling touch controls, you need a miniscule portion of the earbuds’ step while the surface is flattened out very slightly and can be identified upon touching. The functions too are standard where you need to single tap for play/pause and double tap for switching to the next song and answer/end calls.

For gaming aficionados, the game mode can be entered through triple tapping upon which the voice assistant too is activated. The test controls work perfectly although you’ll find a slight latency with an iPhone but when you use a OnePlus handset, the latency is barely noticeable.

This has left many users wondering what card tokenization is and why, in accordance with the RBI’s new guidelines, apps and websites are advising users to secure their credit and debit cards.

Card tokenisation

Card tokenization means changing a plastic card’s 16-digit number to a different, one-of-a-kind card number called a “Token” that must be distinct for each card, token requestor, and device. Tokens can be used for online, mobile point-of-sale, or in-app transactions. It is the most secure way to complete payments because this token is constantly changing and doesn’t contain any directly accessible personal information.

You enter the card number, your name, the card’s expiration date, and the CVV when you use your credit or debit card to make a purchase from an e-commerce website like Amazon or Flipkart. These are all private and confidential details, and you wouldn’t want them to get into the wrong hands. Right now, if you save your credit card information on a website or app, you’re essentially giving permission for the website or app to store the information (aside from the CVV) on their cloud servers. Thus, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) came up with the idea of tokenisation.

The RBI has been pressuring the Indian payments sector to adopt card tokenization, at least as of 2019, in order to safeguard and improve the security of online card transactions.

How does card tokenisation work?

Card tokenization is a straightforward process. When a card is chosen to be tokenized, the card network (such as Visa, MasterCard, etc.) issues the token with the bank’s approval and gives it to the retailer. For instance, if you save an HDFC Visa credit card on Paytm in accordance with RBI’s guidelines, Visa will create the token with SBI’s permission and share it with Paytm.
