Apple iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Plus to be manufactured (made) in India by Tata Group: Report

0

HIGHLIGHTS

* The upcoming iPhone 15 series of smartphones will reportedly be assembled in India.
* Tata Group is said to make the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus models in the country.
* The iPhone 15 Pro series will still be made by Foxconn, Pegatron, and Luxshare.
* Tata Group has reportedly acquired Wistron’s production line in India.
* Tata Group will make two iPhone 15 models in India.
* The shift indicates Apple’s production relocation plans beyond China.
* Tata’s share of assembly orders for various iPhone models is 5 per cent in 2023.
* Tata has received “only small orders” for iPhone 15 models that are expected to launch in September.

Apple is all set to launch its new iPhone 15 series later this year. Like the iPhone 14 series the iPhone 15 series is also said to have four smartphones — iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Presently, the company has a contract to manufacture iPhones in India with three companiesFoxconn, Pegatron and Wistron. Now a new report has surfaced online suggesting that the Cupertino-based tech giant has entered into a fourth manufacturing contract.

There is still plenty of time left for the iPhone 15 series to launch, but ahead of the official release, several leaks and rumours have started popping up on the internet. While the specifications, features, and design of the iPhone 15 series models have constantly been leaking out, a new report has come up, which suggests a pretty interesting and welcome move on Apple’s part. If the report is to be believed, the iPhone 15 series smartphones (iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus) will be assembled in India, as Tata Group has allegedly acquired the rights for the distribution of the iPhone 15 series assembly orders in the country.

iPhone 15 series to be made in India?

According to a new report by TrendForce, Tata Group will assemble a small chunk of the iPhone 15 series smartphones in India. The conglomerate has recently acquired Wistron, so it now has got the company’s India iPhone production line. Tata Group, therefore, will reportedly become the new contract partner for iPhone manufacturing in India, and the fourth manufacturer for Apple after Foxconn, Pegatron, and Luxshare.

The report suggests that Tata Group will assemble 5 percent of Apple’s iPhone 15 series phones, while the major share will still remain with Foxconn, Luxshare, and Pegatron. Foxconn will still have 70 percent of assembly orders for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, while it will have 60 percent of orders for the iPhone 15 Plus.

As for Luxshare, it will have 25 percent of iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Max orders. Speaking of Pegatron, it will have 35 percent of iPhone 15 Plus orders and 30 percent of iPhone 15 Pro orders. Lastly, Tata Groups will not have any share in the iPhone 15 Pro lineup (iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max). That said, this could very well be a pilot move from Apple, and Tata Group might start manufacturing a higher percentage of iPhones going forward.

Apple partners with Tata Group

According to TrendForce, Apple is expected to enter into a contract with Tata Group for the manufacturing of iPhones in India. The report further states that Tata Group will initially manufacture the upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. “Due to geopolitical and pandemic, Apple has been accelerating the diversification of its supply sources, with India being the most well-known case for such transfer. According to TrendForce, India’s Tata Group is expected to become the fourth iPhone assembler for Apple,” mentioned the report.

Why Apple may enter in a contract with Tata Group

The report further adds that Apple may enter into a contract with Tata Group because it is the largest conglomerate in India and this suggests that India will be the first to receive shipments of the new iPhone series. Also, Tata’s ability to manufacture iPhones is attributed to their acquisition of Wistron’s Indian production line, resulting in Wistron’s departure from the iPhone assembly industry.

According to a recent report by Bloomberg News, India is becoming increasingly important to Apple’s strategy to move its device and component production away from China due to diplomatic tensions between Washington and Beijing, as well as supply chain disruptions caused by strict Covid policies. In 2021, only one percent of Apple’s iPhones were produced in India, but that number has increased to seven percent in the past year. Apple is also reportedly planning to manufacture iPads and iPods in India.

Beginning of ‘Made in India’ iPhones

Apple made its foray into iPhone manufacturing in India back in 2017, starting with the production of the first-generation iPhone SE. Since then, the company has expanded its manufacturing in India and now produces several top-selling iPhone models, including the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and the latest iPhone 14.

Faqs

1) iPhone 15, 15 Plus to be Made in India by Tata Group: Report

Ans) iPhone 15 rumours and leaks have been floating on the web for a while. Apple is rumoured to launch four new iPhones this year at the September event. Most of the leaks have been talking about the hardware specifications and features of the iPhone 15 series. The leaks suggest that all four iPhones are getting upgrades in many areas. A new iPhone 15-related report that might benefit India has surfaced online.
According to a new report by TrendForce, Apple is shake hands with the Tata Group to assemble iPhone 15 series in india. The report stated that the Tata Group will assemble two out of the four iPhones launching later this year in India. This will make the Tata Group the fourth contract manufacturer for Apple after Foxconn, Pegatron, and Luxshare.

Tata Group has reportedly acquired Wistron’s Indian production line, which has resulted in India’s largest conglomerate to manufacture the iPhone 15 series. Wistron reportedly is gearing up for its exit from the Indian market. Therefore, since Tata has acquired the company’s production line, it will become the new contract partner for iPhone manufacturing in India.
The TrendForce report stated that the Tata Group will assemble a tiny chunk of the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus for Apple in India. The conglomerate will only assemble 5 per cent of Apple’s 2023 iPhone models. Foxconn will have the majority share for the 2023 iPhone production, followed by Pegatron and Luxshare. This could be a pilot move from Apple and if things go as planned, it could pave way for the Tata Group to manufacture a higher percentage of iPhones in 2024.

Foxconn is one of Apple’s oldest contract manufacturers. For the upcoming 2023 lineup, Foxconn is said to manufacture nearly 70 per cent of the total iPhone 15 models for Apple. Luxshare will make about 25 per cent of the supply chain for the baseline model, whereas the Tata Group will assemble the rest five per cent.

Foxconn will assemble nearly 60 per cent of all iPhone 15 Plus models in 2023, followed by Pegatron (35 per cent) and Tata Group (5 per cent). The report also revealed that Foxconn and Pegatron will assemble the 15 Pro models. Foxconn will assemble 70 per cent of the 15 Pro models, whereas Pegatron will manufacture the remaining 30 per cent of units. The top-end 15 Pro Max will be made by Foxconn and Luxshare. Foxconn, again, will assemble the majority here with nearly 70 per cent of the Pro Max models. Luxshare, on the other hand, will make 25 per cent of the production for the highest-end iPhone.
Apple has been reiterating how important India — the world’s second-largest smartphone market — is for the company. Apple has been witnessing growth in terms of volume and revenue in India year-on-year. Despite that, Apple continues to have a minor 5 per cent share in the Indian smartphone market. To strengthen its hold further, the company opened two Apple Stores in India. The first one was opened in Mumbai’s BKC, whereas the second Apple Store is in New Delhi’s Saket area.

2) Apple iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus with better camera, USB-C port likely to be manufactured by Tata Group: Report

Ans) Apple iPhone 15 and Apple iPhone 15 Plus will reportedly be manufactured by Tata Group in India. The Tata Group, which recently bought Wistron’s Indian production line, will produce a small portion of the basic models in the Apple iPhone 15 series, which will make its debut in September of this year.

For those who don’t know, Wistron is one of the major firms that produces iPhones in India. Wistron and Tata Group had been in negotiations for an acquisition in India for quite some time. According to reports, the Tata Group will soon join Foxconn, Pegatron, and Luxshare as Apple’s fourth supplier of iPhones.

A significant improvement over the normal Apple iPhone 14 phones will be the standard Apple iPhone 15 devices. It is anticipated that Dynamic Island, a 48MP camera, a USB-C connector, new colour choices, and a speedier CPU will be included in the Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. Only Pro versions could have extras like a telephoto lens or LiDAR for optical zoom.
The premium iPhone 15 Pro Max would be the only device to support the Periscope lens, which would offer 5–6x optical zoom. The iPhone 15 Pro Max’s Telephoto lens is anticipated to incorporate a periscope lens, enabling up to 6x zoom while taking pictures with the back camera.

India is believed to be the next China for Apple. The Cupertino-based electronics company intends to shift the majority of its production from China to India after spending around 25 years there. The Apple iPhone models are quickly gaining popularity in the Indian market, and the firm is projected to see exponential growth with the creation of official retail locations combined with local manufacture, lower taxes, and a larger market.

* The feature can be a time and effort-saver for users who write emails.

Struggling to write crisp, engaging emails? Google has just the solution for you.

At the Google I/O conference (which took place on May 10), the search giant introduced some exciting AI updates and launched its very first folded smartphone, the Pixel Fold.

In a bid to assist users with writing emails better and faster, tech giant Google introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered feature called “Help me write” for auto-drafting emails in Gmail.

The feature, previewed at the Google I/O conference, is currently under development but is expected to release soon for all users. The company says that the feature can be a time and effort-saver for users who write emails.

Google has announced a new feature for Gmail that will help users write emails faster and more easily at the Google I/O 2023 on Wednesday. The new feature, called “Help Me Write,” uses artificial intelligence to generate email drafts based on a user’s input.

To use Help Me Write, users simply need to start typing an email and then click on the “Help Me Write” button. The AI will then generate a draft of the email, which the user can then edit and finalise.

Help Me Write

Help Me Write can be used for a variety of email tasks, such as sending a quick thank-you note, scheduling a meeting, or following up on a lead. The AI can also generate email templates for common tasks, such as sending a job application or requesting a refund.

Help me write feature: What is it?

Help Me Write

The “Help Me Write” feature will be available on Gmail and Google Docs. This feature will assist users in composing emails and writing sections by using limited inputs provided by the user. While talking about the feature, Google CEO Sundar Pichai gave the example of requesting a carrier for a refund on a trip when he talked about the new feature.

You simply have to start writing an email and then click the ‘Help Me Write’ button. The tool will then create an email draft, which you can personalise as per your requirements. Faqs on Help Me Write

1) How will Help Me Write work in Gmail?

Ans) The new Help Me Write feature for generative AI email creation in Gmail will expand on the “Smart Compose” feature that Google introduced in 2018, as well as the “Smart Reply” feature added in 2017.

Whereas Smart Reply offers basic automated replies, and Smart Compose provides suggestions as you type, Help Me Write will go well beyond, creating a full email from a basic prompt. A “refine” button can shorten the text, elaborate or make the email more formal. You can then further edit the email manually or send it as is.

In his demo at Google I/O, Pichai used Help Me Write to draft an email asking for a full refund from an airline for a canceled flight. Help Me Write created an email from scratch using information gleaned from the airline’s emailed offer of a voucher.

2) When will Help Me Write be available to all Gmail users?

Ans) Help Me Write has been used by Google Docs and Gmail testers since March, and a similar group of Google testers will start using AI helpers for Google Sheets and Google Slides in June.

Pichai said that Help Me Write will be officially launched to Google users with an update to Google Workspace, but there is no firm timetable yet.

For more, here’s what to know about Google’s Bard AI and the company’s AI-powered search engine.

3) What apps will get Google Help Me Write?

Ans) Google announced Help Me Write with a focus on Gmail and Docs, so those are two services where we can be confident that Help Me Write will arrive.

Gmail in particular will see it offer a really useful ability to convert emails from shorthand into long-form paragraphs with tones that fit the occasion and message.

Of course, down the line, it’s perfectly possible that Help Me Write will come to other Google apps, although these are the two that feature the most writing in the first place.

4) Help me write’ email in Gmail. Details

Ans) Gmail has been evolving to make the users work a lot easier. “There are some great examples of how generative Al is helping to evolve our products, starting with Gmail. In 2017, we launched Smart Reply, short responses you could select with just one click. Next came Smart Compose, which offered writing suggestions as you type. Smart Compose led to more advanced writing features powered by Al.

They’ve been used in Workspace over 180 billion times in the past year alone. And now, with a much more powerful generative model, we’re taking the next step in Gmail with “Help me write,” Pichai stated.

Explaining how it works, in a demonstration of the tool, Pichai used “Help me write” to respond to an email saying the recipient’s flight got canceled. The airline has sent a voucher, but what you really want is a full refund. You could reply, and use ‘Help me write’ to do the same. All you will have to do is simply type in the prompt of what you want, which is an email that asks for a full refund. Click on create, and a full draft appears. It conveniently pulls in flight details from the previous email.

However, in case you are not happy with the mail and want to refine it further, you can do it too with the help of the tool as it has a button that allows users refine the mail, with prompts like “formalize”, “elaborate,” and “shorten.”

Pichai also informed that ‘Help me write’ will start rolling out as part of Google Workspace updates and just like with Smart Compose, people will see it get better over time.
The tool has been launched for testers only at the moment.

Faqs on Samsung Galaxy

1) Samsung Galaxy M34 5G, Galaxy F34 5G BIS certification.Details ?

Ans) * The BIS listing, as spotted has the Galaxy M34 5G listed with the model number SM-M346B/DS and the Galaxy F34 5G with the model number SM-E346B/DS.
* Since BIS is India’s regulatory body for certification of commercial products including smartphones, the listing confirms the phones are slated to launch in the country soon.
* There’s no other information though on the smartphones but we’re expecting some similarity between the two phones given Samsung’s way of marketing the Galaxy M and Galaxy F series.
* For those unaware, the Galaxy F series is Flipkart-exclusive, and these phones mostly offer a similar set of specifications as their Galaxy M series counterparts.
This is the first we’re hearing about the Samsung Galaxy M34 5G and the Galaxy F34 5G so there are no details on the specifications front. But there’s speculation that the two phones could come with specifications similar to the Galaxy A34 5G that launched in India earlier this year in March. Going by this speculation, here’s what we can expect from the Galaxy M34 5G and the Galaxy F34 5G.

2) What are Samsung Galaxy A34 5G specifications?

Ans) * The Galaxy A34 5G features a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a waterdrop notch and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
* Under the hood of the phone runs the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
* The smartphone has a triple-camera setup at the back with a 48MP primary OIS camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera on the Galaxy A34 5G.
* On the software front, the Galaxy A34 5G runs Android 13 with One UI 5 layered on top.
This is only a speculation so we might see a totally different set of specifications for the Galaxy M34 5G and the Galaxy F34 5G. Since the two phones have been spotted on BIS, we should start getting some details soon.

3) Samsung will launch Galaxy F34 5G, Galaxy M34 5G in India soon.Details?

Ans) Samsung is about to launch a lot more mid-range smartphones in the Galaxy A, Galaxy F, and Galaxy M series. The two upcoming mid-range smartphones that could be launched soon are the Galaxy F34 5G and the Galaxy M34 5G. Both smartphones have received the necessary certifications for their launch in India.

The Galaxy F34 5G and the Galaxy M34 5G were spotted in India’s BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) database. The Galaxy F34 5G has model number SM-E346B/DS, while the Galaxy M34 5G has model number SM-M346B/DS. The DS part confirms that the two smartphones will feature a dual-SIM card slot. While their specifications haven’t been leaked yet, it is possible that they will be slightly modified versions of the Galaxy A34 5G.

Galaxy F34 5G and Galaxy M34 5G could be modified versions of the Galaxy A34 5G
Usually, Samsung uses a slightly cheaper design and lets go of features like an IP rating when modifying a Galaxy A series phone into a Galaxy F or Galaxy M series phone. It also brings in a bigger battery in Galaxy F and Galaxy M series phones. Hence, we can expect the same with the Galaxy F34 5G and the Galaxy M34 5G as well.

The Galaxy A34 5G has a 6.6-inch 120Hz Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with a U-shaped cutout for the selfie camera and an in-display fingerprint reader. It uses the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB internal storage. It has a 48MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 32MP selfie camera.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A34 5G with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. It has GPS, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 25W fast charging. The Galaxy F34 5G and the Galaxy M34 5G could use a bigger battery and a slightly cheaper build without an IP67 rating.

HIGHLIGHTS

* A new OPPO smartphone has been spotted on Geekbench.
* This is the same phone that was reportedly being tested in India earlier this year.
* Here’s what we have learned so far about this new OPPO smartphone.

OPPO was found testing a new smartphone in India earlier this year, with a reported similar design to the Reno 8T. Now, the same OPPO smartphone with the same model number has been spotted on Geekbench giving us an idea on the specifications of the device.

While the moniker still remains unknown, here’s what we can expect on the spec sheet.

* Geekbench is a benchmarking platform which gauges the device’s processor performance.

* The OPPO smartphone on Geekbench carries the model number CPH2527 which is the same as the one spotted earlier this year.

* The phone scores 899 in the single-core test and 2080 in the multi-core test.

* The Geekbench listing reveals that the OPPO smartphone will be powered by an octa-core processor codenamed ‘holi’. The max CPU clock speed of 2.21 GHz. The chipset is most likely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, a mid-ranger powering smartphones such as OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite and POCO X5. We can expect the new OPPO smartphone to also fall in the mid-range category.

* The Geekbench listing also confirms that the smartphone will pack 8GB of RAM and run Android 13 out-of-the-box. OPPO could launch more than one variant of the phone, and the OS will have the custom ColorOS layered on top.

As for the rest of the specifications, there are still no details yet but we’re expecting to get some information soon. As mentioned before, the smartphone is also said to feature a design similar to the Reno 8T 5G.

Going by this speculation, we can expect a punch-hole selfie camera at the centre of the display, and curved edges. The OPPO Reno 8T 5G stands out for its glittery back which is called the “OPPO glow” but we’re not sure if this new phone will also follow suit.

In addition to this mystery device, OPPO also has other smartphones in the pipeline. The company is expected to launch the Reno 10 Pro and Reno 10 Pro+, the Find X6 Pro and Find X6 and F23 smartphones in India later this year. The OPPO F23 launch will take place first as it’s coming to India on May 15th. As for the others, OPPO is expected to launch them soon.

Flipkart charging Rs 10 ‘sale fee’ on products which were on sale! Customers won’t buy it, Internet not happy

Flipkart charging Rs 10 ‘sale fee’

HIGHLIGHTS

* Customers are ranting on Twitter that Flipkart is charging an additional Rs 10 sale fee.
* This comes in addition to the secure packaging fee of up to Rs 99.
* Flipkart says that this fee is applicable on select products “with great offers” and is applied only to your first order during a sale event.

Indian e-commerce company, Flipkart has recently been creating a huge buzz on the internet. This time it isn’t for some intriguing sale or offers. The company’s decision to charge a one-timesale fee’ of Rs 10, has grabbed Flipkart a position under the limelight.

The call is drawing immense outrage from its customers, who have taken to social media and have been constantly criticising the decision as another money-making tactic from the e-commerce site.

Flipkart charging Rs 10 ‘sale fee’

Since the beginning of May, innumerable users have flooded social media by sharing screenshots of the checkout section of the app, along with their complaints regarding the same.
This Rs 10 sale fee seems to be fuel to the fire, as customers at the time are already irked over the company charging them different fees for packaging and delivery of their products.

Many users have pointed out that the sale fee makes no sense, as it is the charge that the company has put on the discounted items, therefore this makes the discount completely irrelevant. A few claimed it to be an eccentric step to loot customers.

Tagging the customer support service of the company, a user shared a picture of his phone, and wrote, “What is this ‘Sale fee’ now? Flipkart Support. Another way to loot money from your customers.”

Flipkart charging Rs 10 ‘sale fee’

The company took to the comments section to clarify their decision. However, this clarification didn’t stop the users from questioning the charge. Pointing out the sale fee on the site, a user took a dig at the company.

The screenshot revealed that even before he placed the product in the cart, there was a note below the product that read, “Rs 10 one-time sale fee may apply for top deals.” Sharing the screenshot the user wrote in the tweet, “Wow… A new achievement for Flipkart. They invented a new type of charge called sale fee…”

Another user wrote, “Hi Flipkart, can you explain why you are collecting this sale fee?”

A picture revealed that while the company gave a person a Rs 10 coupon that was deducted from the total price, it hardly mattered as they added a sale fee of a similar amount. The user shared the screenshot with the caption, “Ek ke baad ek alag alag charges ke naam pe chuna lagaya ja raha hai..Pahle security charges aur ab Sale Fee…Kuchh din baad Flipkart app open kiya uska bhi charges add kar denge. That’s why I avoid using this platform for shopping!”

Responding to these complaints, Flipkart in the comments section called it “a nominal fee,” and said that it is only applied during the sale event. They added that this fee helps them to serve their customers better by bringing a wide range of products to them.

Flipkart wrote, “We understand your concern related to the sale fee. Please note that it is a nominal fee for select products with great offers and is applied only to your first order during a sale event. This fee helps us bring you a wide range of products with great value during a sale event.”

Flipkart charging Rs 10 ‘sale fee’

After already being blamed by the general public for charging ‘packaging fee’ for certain products, Flipkart has started levying an additional sale fee on certain discounted products. During the recent Big Savings Days sale where products were offered at a discount, Flipkart charged a small amount of Rs 10 as a “sale fee”.

This didn’t go well with customers who purchased products as they believe that it was just another money-making tactic similar to the secured packaging fee. For those unaware, Flipkart has recently increased the price of the packaging fee from Rs 69 to Rs 99. In its defence, the e-commerce giant said that this will help it to securely deliver products to customers without any damage during shipping.

Flipkart Sale Fees annoys Customers

Flipkart charging Rs 10 ‘sale fee’

For a customer who is buying a discounted product during the sale period, a nominal charge of Rs 10 is being added to the total bill. The sale fee comes with a message that reads, “You are enjoying top deals with a one-time sale fee of Rs 10.” Ironically, Flipkart claims that over 20 lakh customers have saved more than Rs 20 crore with top deals.

Notably, some customers claim Flipkart is charging a sale fee on products that are not even on discount.

Another scenario was highlighted wherein a customer, even after paying the Rs 10 sale fee and Rs 40 shipping charges, received a broken product.

Flipkart’s Response

After multiple user complaints, Flipkart has finally responded to a customer’s query on Twitter.

The response reads, “We understand your concern related to the Sale fee. Please note that it is a nominal fee for select products with great offers and is applied only to your first order during a sale event. This fee helps us bring you a wide range of products with great value during a sale event. Thanks for your understanding.”

Flipkart and its closest competitor Amazon both hosted mega sales recently, where there were lucrative deals on smartphones, laptops and other generic items.

Ans) Flipkart Sale: Flipkart ‘s decision to charge a one-time “sale fee” of Rs 10 with packing and delivery charges, especially on discounted products, has angered its customers. The devices are a successor to the A1 series, which was launched last year in India. Redmi’s new A-series is an entry-level focussed offering.

Xiaomi launched two smartphones under the A1 series last year in India, both of which were priced under Rs 10,000.

The upcoming Redmi A2 is also expected to be priced in the same category.

Let’s take a look at the Redmi A2 launch, specifications, features, and other details known so far.

There is a MediaTek Helio G36 processor under the hood.

The SoC was launched in internal markets with 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. We can expect Redmi to launch a higher RAM variant of the A2 series in India.

* OPPO Reno 10 series is expected to launch soon.

OPPO Reno 10 series is expected to launch very soon in China as a successor to the Reno 9 lineup from late last year. After the OPPO Reno 10 Pro and OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ received the BIS certification, the latter’s specifications have now leaked online alongside the live image showing the rear design.

This matches with the earlier 5K renders. The phone has an oval-shaped rear camera module along with curved edges.
The phone can be seen in the Cream colour option.

OPPO Reno 10 Pro+

Oppo is believed to be working on a new generation of Reno 10 series of smartphones. The lineup will include the Reno 10, Reno 10 Pro, and Reno 10 Pro+.

Now, it appears that the launch of the Reno 10 series is just around the corner, as the Reno 10 Pro and Reno 10 Pro+ model were just recently spotted on an Indian certification database.

OPPO Reno 10 Pro+

The live image of the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ shows the phone will have an oval-shaped camera module that houses triple camera sensors, including the telephoto sensor and an LED flash.

The phone appears to have a metal frame, with speaker grills at the bottom. The volume rocker and power button are on the right edge. The front portion of the phone is not visible but we speculate there could be a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter and an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security.

The two Pro models have been sighted on the BIS certification listing (Bureau of Indian Standards). This listing has revealed that the Reno 10 Pro carries the CPH2525 model number, while the Reno 10 Pro+ model number is CPH2521.

Unfortunately, the certification did not reveal any other finer details like their specifications. However, we have covered various reports, which includes a GeekBench listing that revealed some of its key specs.

The Reno 10 Pro+ model is expected to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC that will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM. In other words, it is a premium grade smartphone.

On the other hand, the Reno 10 Pro is believed to be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, which will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Furthermore, there have also been render leaks that have given us a detailed look at its design.

The device will feature a a pill shaped camera module that houses the Reno 10 Pro models’ triple camera setup. On the Reno 10 Pro+ variant, this module consists of a 50 megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor, along with an 8 megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra wide angle lens, and a 64 megapixel periscope shooter.

Meanwhile, the front will house a 32 megapixel selfie camera. The front sports a 6.74 inch curved AMOLED Full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate on the Reno 10 Pro+ model, while the Reno 10 Pro sports a 6.7 inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
