Motorola Signature 27 uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 CPU
The Motorola Signature 27 sports Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 CPU, paired with Motorola’s own ArcticMesh cooling system. Some remarkable hardware data have been benchmarked recently on Geekbench with single-core scores of 3,313, multi-core scores of 11,088 and clock speeds of up to 5.01GHz. The Signature 27 has an Adreno 850 GPU and 12GB of RAM, enabling it to run demanding AAA games, multi-stream 4K video editing and complicated on-device AI tasks with great performance.

iQOO 16 to Follow With the Same Snapdragon Chip
Motorola is prepping the Signature 27 for the top place, but iQOO is also about to debut its flagship iQOO 16, which also comes with the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 CPU. iQOO has always been focused on the high-performance gaming phone segment, with aggressive pricing. Leaks and industry leaks say that the new iQOO 16 would be more costly than its predecessors. This would put Motorola and iQOO directly against each other in the premium Android segment in India.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Chip Reportedly Costs $300
According to industry sources, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor has a component cost of around $300 per unit to smartphone manufacturers. The increasing cost of silicon is driven mostly by the requirements of advanced node manufacturing processes, improved integrated graphics, and specialised hardware for on-device generative AI tasks. The hike in the overall production cost of flagship devices for 2026 across all major manufacturers is mostly due to the cost hike of the system-on-chip.
Will Snapdragon Flagship Phones Cost Over Rs1 Lakh?
The component cost has been rising in recent flagship launches in India and breaking established pricing boundaries. The OPPO Find X10 series is one of the first flagship phones of 2026 and start at Rs 1,39,999. The price of smartphones is clearly going up. The original Motorola Signature was launched as a budget flagship at Rs 59,999 and the Signature 27 and other devices like the iQOO 16 are expected to go closer or beyond the Rs 1,00,000 mark in India due to the high cost of the new Snapdragon processor.
