Here is the list of alternative platforms to Vanced to enjoy ad-free videos on YouTube

0

Google owned YouTube has been a popular video platform among users. To enjoy an uninterrupted video experience users need to spend Rs 1,290 for an annual subscription. However, there are many platforms that help you get free access to uninterrupted video on YouTube. One of them was Vanced- a video client for Android (Not affiliated with Google/YouTube). Despite being a popular one, Vanced has been shut down by its creators due to legal reason.

For a monthly subscription, you need to pay a monthly rental of Rs 189. YouTube offers monthly subscription at Rs 79 to eligible students only. They do an annual verification.

“Vanced is no longer available,” reads an alert on the official website of the app. A tweet from the Vanced inform that it has been discontinued. The download links on the website will be taken down soon. Vanced creators thanked users for supporting them over the years. Those who have already downloaded the app can continue to use it. But these people will not get any update for the app, and expected to become outdated in 2 years or so, as the account added.

What is Vanced

Vanced, usable for free app, helped users to enjoy ad free videos on YouTube. The shutting down of the Vanced has not been welcomed by those who are using it. Users have started looking for free alternative platforms to Vanced to enjoy ad-free video on YouTube.

Vanced has become the latest to face Google’s action against third-party apps that access YouTube after popular Rythm and Groovy Discord music bots. These two also offered ad-free service.

Apple’s iPhone SE 2022 was unveiled a few days ago, and all of the early excitement has dissipated since then. The ban against Russia is widening more and more, affecting even renowned high-tech products. Russians are now no longer able to purchase new PlayStation consoles or games. Yes, Sony has joined a chorus of other video game companies in halting PlayStation software and hardware sales in Vladimir Putin’s country as the conflict in Ukraine continues.

The gaming giant, in a statement, announced that it is halting shipments of new hardware and boxed game products in the country, as well as shutting down the PlayStation Store and scrapping the release of its upcoming racing game Gran Turismo 7. The Japanese technology and entertainment giant Sony Group also said that it had donated $2 million to the UN refugee agency and Save the Children “to support the victims of this tragedy.”

Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Epic, Take-Two Interactive, and Ubisoft, among the industry’s biggest video game producers, have already declared a suspension of physical and digital game and in-game content sales in Russia.

Microsoft was the first of the console manufacturers to announce that it would be discontinuing software sales in Russia, as well as suspending sales of Xbox consoles and other hardware, as part of a broader suspension of its Azure, Windows, and Office businesses there.

In an effort to cut down on misinformation and propaganda, a number of social media platforms have straddled the line by banning Russian news outlets — or, in the case of TikTok, any and all uploads from Russian users — while remaining operational in the country to support Ukrainian activists and journalists. The suspensions from companies came after the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, called on the game sector to stop doing business in Russia in the early days of the Russian invasion, specifically mentioning Microsoft and Sony.

Also, Fedorov encouraged the online gaming community to ban all the Russian competitors and cancel any forthcoming events in the country. He wrote, “In 2022, modern technology is perhaps the best answer to the tanks, multiple rocket launchers and missiles.”
