Adobe announces free Photoshop for everyone

In 2021, Adobe rolled out the Web version of its popular photoshop system. It legit proved as a boon to so many people, especially creators who require light and regular editing of their pictures and videos. However, the Web version was not available to everyone and was in Beta testing for quite a long. Now, Adobe has announced and already testing its free-to-use version of Photoshop to be rolled out to everyone across the world. The test version is currently in testing in the Web version of Photoshop, Canada.

The free-to-use Photoshop on the web will allow users to use some of the features of the Photoshop app on the website. This will be both easy to use and handy for those who want to quickly edit images online. Adobe is calling the Photoshop web version “freemium,” which will be accessible to all regions soon. Earlier when the web version was introduced it was merely used by artists to collaborate with others, letting people add tweaks and comments to the image on the web app and submit it back to them. But now, the web version will offer an app-like experience, and that too for free.

 Assassin’s Creed new game coming soon

The longest-running AAA title in the gaming world, Assassin’s Creed is coming with lots of new things in the coming days. The makers, Ubisoft Studios, have announced the latest DLC for the existing part: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla along with some big announcements to be made very soon. Makers have unveiled that the franchise will bring many new elements and improvements to the existing ones in the coming September this year. This also hints that the month might bring a new Assassin’s Creed title.

Coming to the new DLC, new content will surely work in expanding the game further. Valhalla already features the Wrath of the Druids, Siege of Paris, and Dawn of Ragnarok. Now, we’ll see a new Forgotten Saga mode added to it. For long-standing Assassin’s Creed fans, this will be a very different experience when compared to previous Assassin’s Creed titles. The new Forgotten Saga mode will be free for all users who own Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The new mode will also feature a protagonist- Eivor, entering the Norse mythology realm of Niflheim.

Yamaha announces new TWS earbuds in India

Yamaha Corporation, one of the popular musical instrument manufacturers in the country, has launched two new truly wireless earbuds in India. With these new earbuds, the company aims to achieve the philosophy of ‘True Sound’ and they offer ‘detailed and accurate timbre’ while also taking care of the ‘contrast between stillness and motion’. These new earbuds are optimally balanced to auto-correct the sound while reducing ear fatigue drastically.

Yamaha announces new TWS earbuds in India

The Yamaha TW-E3B TWS earbuds are currently priced at Rs 8,490, while the Yamaha TW-E5B is retailing for Rs 14,200. The brand has not revealed anything about the availability of both the earbuds in India yet, however, we have the specifications about it. The earbuds come with 7mm dynamic drivers paired with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. It also comes with IPX5 dust and water-resistant coating with 5.2 Bluetooth connectivity. It also sports Qualcomm’s CVC (Clear Voice Capture), and Qualcomm aptX technologies with Ambient Sound Mode when you wish to be aware of your surroundings. Furthermore, it has a dedicated Gaming Mode that reduces the delay between sound and video while optimising the audio performance.

Nothing phone (1) first look revealed

Nothing’s first-ever smartphone has been announced to come in July and finally, we have the first look at it. Back in 2021, Carl Pei launched the Ear (1) earbuds and the phone is also being in news since then. Talking about the phone, it has earbuds like many transparent elements. The presumable glass and the back cover on the phone is giving many hints which are shared by the brand. The image also reveals that the smartphone will feature a dual rear camera and wireless charging.

Nothing phone (1) first look revealed

The specification of this upcoming device does include a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, running on a modified version of Android. Some rumours also suggest that the phone will feature a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 1,080×2400 pixel resolution and no visible “chin” on the bottom. The same source says the phone will have a flat (think iPhone-like) design, which looks much more accurate than what we can see in Nothing’s picture above. The launch dates are set for July 12, though we’re quite certain there will be more teasers and leaks before it.

The latest version in iOS 2.4.1 and Android 3.1.7 updates of the application include the “Nearby” feature that allows the jobseekers to look out for jobs seamlessly. The “Nearby” feature allows the users to pinpoint their current location and enable them to filter out the relevant job opportunities near to their vicinity. Once the user grants access to the location, the application will populate the job feed of the candidate in ascending order of their distance. There is no edit or background removal option in the Photos app. Users need to use two apps – Photos and the Notes app to edit the image or remove the background. These two apps also works with the Mail and Messages app.

The very first thing that is needed to access this feature, users must be using iOS 16 on iPhone X and above.

Step 1: You need to open the Photos app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Get the image that you want to remove the background for. You need to long-press on the subject in the image to move it freely.

Step 3: Now, simultaneously open the Notes or Messages or Mail app on your phone.

  1. Open a Note/Chat/New Mail and drop the subject that you just selected in the black area.

By following these simple steps you will be able to separate your subject from the background

To work with multiple images at the same time, touch and hold one image, then tap the other images with another finger. You should not forget to save the photo from the Note/Chat/Mail.

How to migrate WhatsApp data from Android to iPhone and vice versa

After launching the ability to switch from iPhone to Android last year, Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp has now added the same facility from Android to iPhone as well. Mark Zuckerberg, founder, chairman and CEO of Meta announced this update through a Facebook post.

According to Zuckerberg, introduction of new feature has come in response to users’ request. Now WhatsApp users be able to securely transfer data between Android and iPhone while maintaining end-to-end encryption.

Earlier, it was a painful task to transfer WhatsApp data between Android and iOS devices. Infact, it was not possible to transfer a chat backup from an Android to an iOS device. Currently available for beta users, WhatsApp now allows users to transfer chat history and media between supported Android and iOS devices with a few easy steps. The new feature will soon be made available for stable users as well.

How to transfer WhatsApp from Android to iOS

Step 1: Your iPhone must have updated iOS15 or above while, the Android phone must needs to have to be on version 5.0 and above. To start the process, you need to download ‘Move to iOS’ application by Apple from Play Store.

Step 2: It is important to make sure that both phones are connected to a power source and the same WiFi network.

Step 3: Open the Move to iOS app and follow the instructions shown on-screen.

Step 4: Enter the code available in the iOS Setup Assistant’s ‘Move Data from Android’ option. After entering the code, you need to tap on Continue and follow the on-scree instructions.

Step 5: Choose ‘WhatsApp’ on the Transfer Data screen. Now you need to press ‘Start’ button on your Android phone and wait till WhatsApp gets all your data together, ready for exporting. After that you will be signed out from your Android phone’s WhatsApp app.

Step 6: Click on ‘Next’ to go back to the Move to iOS app and tap ‘Continue’ to begin the data transfer. After completing the task, you need to install WhatsApp on your iPhone from the App Store and log in with the same phone number.

Complete the activation on your device to access the WhatsApp chat data. It is pertinent to mention here that you will not be able to carry over some elements such as payment history and call history.

How to transfer WhatsApp from iOS to Android

You need to start by connecting your iPhone to a newly reset Android 12 device with a USB Type-C to Lightning cable. Follow the on-scree instructions to import all or selected data from the iPhone to the Android 12 device.

When the transfer is done, tap on the ‘Continue’ button and scan the QR code shown on the Android phone using your iPhone. Finish the process by setting up WhatsApp on the Android phone.

Other developments of WhatsApp

Group extension, exporting backup, and redesigning of the interactive location feature, WhatsApp is also working on a new feature. WhatsApp is set to roll out a new API feature to let the users know about all their missed calls.

In another development, WhatsApp recently announced a feature to completely change the group dynamics. According to the latest update, WhatsApp has now doubled the number of participants that you can add to one group. As per the update, WhatsApp has rolled out the ability to add 512 members to a group. Earlier there was a limit of 256 participants that you can add to one group. The feature was announced a few months back and now it is finally available to the users globally.

Apple has confirmed to start pre-booking for its updated 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 chip from June 17. Customers can pre-book the 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 on apple.com, the Apple Store app, and through Apple authorised resellers.

Featuring a next-generation 8-core CPU with advancements in both performance and efficiency cores, along with Apple’s next-generation GPU, the 13-inch MacBook Pro will start arriving to customers worldwide from June 24.

Pricing and availability

The 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2, available in silver and space grey, starts at Rs 129,900 and Rs119,900 for education.

Apple has confirmed to offer a free Online Personal Session with an Apple Specialist. They will help to get their product set up in select stores, help with data transfer, and receive guidance on how to make their new Mac work the way they want.

Specifications of 13-inch MacBook Pro
