Samsung sees over 70k pre-bookings for Galaxy S22 series in India

South Korean tech giant Samsung has got overwhelming responses for its most awaited flagship smartphone Galaxy S22 series during pre-booking. According to the latest update, Samsung has witnessed more than 70000 pre-bookings for the Galaxy S22 series soon after it started pre-bookings on February 23.

The Galaxy S22 series, launched in India last week, is available for pre-booking from February 22-March 10. Galaxy S22 Series including Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 will be available for sale from March 11. Galaxy series was unveiled in India during the unpacked event held recently.

Those willing to pre-book the smartphone can visit leading retail outlets, Samsung exclusive stores, Samsung online store and Amazon.in in India.

Aditya Babbar, Senior Director and Head of Product Marketing, Samsung India expressed gratitude to consumers for the overwhelming response to the new Galaxy S22 series. Babbar emphasised that the devices to customers will be delivered as early as possible.

Not to upset its Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series customers, Samsung has also announced benefits for them. According to the latest update, Samsung will give an upgrade bonus of Rs 8000 to Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series customers. Additionally, other device holders will get an upgrade bonus of Rs 5000. There is a cashback of Rs 5000 for customers who opt to purchase these devices via Samsung Finance+.

Snapchat enables real-time location sharing feature

Snapchat, the photo sharing platform, has finally rolled out a new feature that will allow you to share real-time location with your snapchatter buddies. The latest modification to the platform will allow a user to share the location for 15 minutes to a few hours. The company had announced the latest addition and given a sneak-peak into it with a tweet on February 18 on the microblogging site. The company wrote “Make sure you and your friends get home safely with temporary location-sharing”

With the brand new global feature, users will be able to keep an eye on their friends while they resume their social lives, return to campus, or begin to travel again. The feature will sort of help you track your friend’s movement and to check whether she/he gets home safely at night. 

According to Snapchat, both parties must accept each other as friends before they can share a live location. Upon turning on the new feature, the user will be prompted with a reminder that it is meant to be used with close friends and family. 

Earlier, snapchatters across the globe could share their locations to connect with their friends via ‘Snap Map’, but the latest addition will enable the user to share real-time movement. Significantly, the global feature resembles that of WhatsApp. The Facebook-owned platform allows users to share live locations openly with any contact for a certain period of time.

The VR2 is the rumoured next-gen hardware promising an exceptional gaming experience. It is expected to take Virtual gaming to new heights with overall immersion and a more lavish presence.

In a recent blog post at PlayStation.Blog and Twitter, Sony has revealed its first look and specifications. The design is really stunning and eye-catching with the aesthetic mix of Black and White.

Furthermore, the senior vice president of platform, Hideaki Nishino also expressed his excitement in a post saying “especially pleased to reveal the stunning new design” of the PSVR 2 headset, alongside “an update and final design image of our PlayStation VR2 Sense controller.

He also added that the controller shares a circle-centric design, giving a 360-degree view to players when they enter the gaming world.

Play Station VR2 release date

The release dates for the Play Station VR2 is still in the dark as nothing has been declared yet. However, the platform seems to talk about the hardware a lot this year, so maybe we can expect the arrival very soon in this year only.

In the year 2020, the buzz about this upcoming hardware was very unclear as Sony gave many mixed signals to the users. In a statement, the CEO Jim Ryan also stated that the future of the platform was “more than a few minutes away”. However, after the reveal of the VR2’s design today, we can be rest assured that it’s finally happening!

The headset sports a huge display resolution with 2000×2040 per eye paired with an OLED display and HDR support. Furthermore, it has a view of 110 degrees with many unique features like eye-tracking and in-headset vibration. And, kind of a no-brainer thing, but the PS VR2 will run on PS5.

Additionally, it also features a vent design, developed by the senior art director, Yujin Morisawa, which is apparently his favorite part of designing the whole headset.

“When I started to work on the design for the PlayStation VR2 headset, one of the areas I wanted to focus on first was the idea of creating a vent in the headset to let air out, similar to the vents on the PS5 console that allows airflow. Our engineers came up with this idea as a good way to allow ventilation and avoid having the lens fog up while players are immersed in their VR games. I worked on many design concepts to achieve this, and in the final design, you can see there is a little space in between the top and front surface of the scope that contains the integrated ventilation. I am really proud of how this turned out and the positive feedback I have gotten so far. I hope our PlayStation fans will also agree, and I can’t wait for them to try it out.” Yujin Morisawa, Senior Art Director, SIE.

After the successful release of Horizon Zero Dawn: Forbidden West, Sony is giving hints for another big release. When the whole web is waiting for its blockbuster game God of War: Ragnarok, guess what happened today?

Although, there’s no official statement posted by the brand as on when are they coming up with the latest season. However, the gaming community gained spark after what happened on Reddit today! Do you remember Jason Schreier, Bloomberg’s journalist and your favorite Sony insider? Yes him!

God of War: Ragnarok is coming in 2022

Jason confirmed via Reddit that the game is still on track and expected to release sometime in 2022. It all happened in a community post where the gaming community group called GamingLeaks AndRumours subreddit asked the members if they also felt that the game would be in 2023. Jason appeared unexpectedly and responded to the statement with a simple “nope”. He also marked the statement as a rumour.

God-of-War

If this is true and the game is seriously coming in this year, then it’s a blessing in disguise for all the gaming lovers (including myself) who already believed that it’s destined to be postponed. If launched this year, the game is definitely going to make it to the PS5’s 2022 major release, at least in my opinion.
Well, delays can still be expected, but this confidence of expecting Kratos and Atreus at the year’s end is just what we needed!

The God of War is a PlayStation exclusive game packed with action and adventure. It was released back in 2005 by Sony Corporation and stole the heart of the fans with its stunning visuals and strong plotline.

The story follows the main protagonist Kratos, a Sparton warrior sent by the Greek Gods to kill the God of War, Ares. As the story proceeds, Kratos finds out some shocking truth about his past with Ares. He gets to know that he was a former Ares servant who was tricked by him to kill his own family.

Kratos is one of the most glorious and powerful characters of the game. He’s the son of Zeus, armed with the Blades of Chaos, two daggers attached with a chain. He’s on a murderous quest to kill the rogue god and seek his revenge. The story will take you to visit some interesting Greek mythologies, so players will encounter a myriad of Minotaurs and Hydras.

What to expect from God of War: Ragnarok

The makers have kept their lips sealed to reveal the story of this upcoming sequel. However, we do have some hints dropped on their official account. Santa Monica has disclosed two main enemies that Kratos and Atreus will be up against.

Freya is about to make an entry in the Ragnarok sequel as the first primary rival. It seems only fair for her to appear as Kratos killed her son in the last part. The fight is going to be glorious and full of wrath!

The second and the most awaited entry is Thor, the God of Thunder and Son of Odin (Ruler of Asgard). Makers also showed a cosplay of how Thor will look in the upcoming part on Twitter. Exciting, isn’t it?

We also have some more characters like Mimir, Brok, and Sindri making a comeback with Freya. It also has many new additions to its character index. You can also expect to see Odin coming to Ragnarok after a long wait!
