Alongside such bold experiments, the brand also launches regular devices, and the latest of the bunch is expected to be Moto Edge 40 Pro.

Moto Edge 40 Pro: what we know so far

According to a report by Android Police, citing renders published online on Twitter by noted tipster Evan Blass, the Moto Edge 40 Pro is expected to launch in global markets soon.
Ahead of this launch, Blass shared a host of renders of the smartphone on Twitter, showcasing its full design including the rear camera module.

The design appears unchanged from the China-exclusive X40, with a curved display wrapping around the vertical edges, a triple-camera array in a square camera bump with “50MP” branding, and ridiculously thin bezels all around.
The Moto Edge 40 Pro could use its Chinese sibling’s 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a smooth 165Hz refresh rate, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a USB-C port.

If the dimensions remain unchanged, the phone could measure 6.35 × 2.9 × 0.33 inches and weigh just 7.02 ounces.
A 4,600mAh battery should provide sufficient screen-on time and 125W wired fast charging should be standard, along with support for 15W wireless and reverse wireless charging.
The camera array should comprise a 50MP f/1.9 primary camera with OIS, another 50MP ultrawide, and a 12MP macro telephoto lens, with selfie duties handled by a 60MP front-facing camera.

While Blass or Android Police did not tip any specifications, if the X40 and Edge 40 Pro turn out to be the same, then we have a host of specifications at hand.
These include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, a 6.7-inch 165Hz full HD+ display, a 50MP + 50MP + 12MP triple rear camera setup with 2x optical zoom, Wi-Fi 6E and 5G connectivity, and a 4,600mAh battery with 125W fast charging.

In Motorola’s product lineup, the Edge 40 Pro should be marketed as a successor for the Edge 30 Pro, which made its way stateside as the Edge+ in 2022.

Realme C55 smartphone was launched by the company in Indonesia on Tuesday.
The handset features a 6.72-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is the first Realme phone with the Mini Capsule feature that appears to offer similar functionality to Apple’s Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro.
It is equipped with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, and packs a 5,000mAh battery capacity along with support for 33W SUPERVOOC charging, according to the company.

This is the brand’s latest C-series offering and seems to have everything to be tagged as the most premium phone in the affordable Realme C-lineup of phones. Firstly, the handset ships with an iPhone 14 Pro-like Dynamic Island, which the company is calling Mini Capsule.

The handset has a traditional punch-hole cutout at the centre but will expand for notifications such as charging, battery full, low battery warning, data usage, steps and walking distance for the day and others. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual camera sensors on the back, and flat edges.
The Realme C55’s key specifications include a 64MP primary camera, 256GB storage, 33W fast charging support, an FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and Android 13 OS out of the box.

The Realme C55 is priced at Rp 2,499,000 (approx Rs 13,300) for the base 6GB + 128GB model and Rp 2,999,000 (approx Rs 16,000) for the 8GB + 256GB version. The phone will be available for purchase from March 8th and comes in Rainy Night and Sun Shower colour options. The phone is expected to launch in India as well.
