HIGHLIGHTS

* Realme is set to unveil the Buds Air 5 Pro soon
* The brand is skipping the “4” moniker due to its ‘inauspicious nature’
* The TWS earbuds are set to go to production

Realme Buds Air 5 Pro will be the latest wearable from the Chinese electronics giant if a new report is to be believed.

The most interesting aspect of this is that the brand has skipped the “4” moniker and gone straight for a skip-successor to the existing Realme Buds Air 3 Pro.

The report suggests the upcoming TWS earbuds are already in testing, with an India launch expected sooner than later.

A report by TheTechOutlook reveals our first look at what could be Realme’s upcoming Buds Air 5 Pro TWS earbuds.

The publication claims that an insider has confirmed the naming and design of the earbuds. In fact, the report goes on to say the Buds Air 5 Pro are in testing and set to go to the production line really soon. From the looks of it, the design is same as its predecessor, with the same capsule-shaped charging case with a charging light at the front.

The reason behind Realme skipping the Buds Air 4 Pro could be the same as other Chinese brands who usually skip the “4” moniker in their phones and accessories. This is because in Chinese culture, the number 4 is considered inauspicious.

This was seen earlier when Realme skipped the Realme 4 series of smartphones to go right to the next number after the Realme 3.

The biggest focus for Realme right now is the launch of the Narzo N55, which is set for an April 12 launch in India.

The brand has teased a lot of details of this upcoming smartphone, including a punch-hole camera design with a Mini capsule and a dual-tone back panel with dual cameras.

In fact, Realme has been up to a lot of stuff already in 2023, as it just unveiled the C55 smartphone, which is a budget smartphone with specifications including 33W SuperVOOC charging, 64MP Al camera, up to 16GB Dynamic RAM, a 5,000mAh battery, and a thickness of just 7.89mm.

According to the information shared, the earbuds are already in the testing phase and may soon hit production.

The earbuds are expected to make their debut in India in three color variants: black, white, and a special color named Nature Green.

So far, only this much information is known, but our source has claimed that the specs of these upcoming earbuds will soon be known as well.

As for the Realme Buds Air 4 Pro, the company might skip them because most Chinese companies feel that the number 4 is a bad omen.

Therefore, after launching the Realme 3 smartphone series, the brand jumped to the Realme 5 series, skipping number 4. Similarly, like its smartphone series, Realme is expected to skip number 4 in its earbuds range.

Although for now, Realme’s concentration is on the launch of the Realme Narzo N55, we could expect to hear something official from the brand about the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro after the launch of this smartphone.

We will update you with the specs of these upcoming earbuds as soon as we get any information.
