Volvo’s first pure electric crossover, the Volvo C40 Recharge is ready for the Indian EV markets and is expecting a countrywide launch sometime in July 2023.

Though the company advertisement is claiming it to be the first “pure” electric vehicle by the company, this is certainly not the first electric car of Volvo. Now, the second vehicle, C40 Recharge is speculated to only have the electric powertrain and not the ICE counterpart.

The Volvo official website claims the C40 Recharge will have up to 500 km electric range with just 4.7s acceleration for 0-100 km/h speed, 300kW power and 28 min fast charge support that promises to take the vehicle from 10 per cent charge to 80 per cent charge.

Other features of Volvo C40 Recharge will include Harman Kardon premium sound, 360-degree camera, Google built-in, Cross traffic alert, Air Purifier, and the Volvo cars app for other assistance.

Volvo C40 Recharge price in India is expected to be somewhere around Rs 60.00 Lakh. Clearly, not competing to be the cheapest electric car in India.
