Samsung’s fifth generation of foldable smartphones – Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 – have proved to be a tremendous success, securing a record 100,000 pre-bookings in India in the first-28 hours.
To delight pre-booked customers, Samsung will commence early deliveries of the latest foldables starting August 11.
Pre-bookings in India for Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 opened on July 27, 2023. The devices will go on sale from August 18, 2023.
After recently introducing the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 at the Unpacked event in South Korea, Samsung has now announced the sale date for both foldable phones in India.
According to the company, Indian consumers can get their hands on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 starting this month.
Galaxy Z Flip5 delivers a stylish, unique foldable experience from a pocket-sized device built for self-expression. The Galaxy Z Flip5’s outer screen is now 3.78 times larger and offers more usability than ever before.
Galaxy Z Fold5, the ultimate productivity powerhouse with a large screen delivers the most powerful performance in the Galaxy Z series because it is the thinnest, lightest Fold yet.
Both Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 are equipped with IPX8 support, aircraft grade Armor Aluminum frames, and Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 applied to both the Flex Window and back cover.
Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 come with new integrated hinge module that features a dual rail structure for diffusing external impacts.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 India Sale Date
Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 will go on sale in India starting August 18th. Meanwhile, pre-booking for both phones started in the country on July 27th.
Samsung claims that within the first 28 hours of opening pre-orders it received 100,000 bookings for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in India.
As per the company, this is 1.7 times more than last year’s pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. However, they didn’t say the exact current pre-order numbers.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 Price and Availability
Galaxy ZFlip5 starts at INR 99999 (8/256 GB), while Galaxy Z Fold5 is available from INR 154999 (12/256 GB).
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 comes in three storage variants, 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB and 12GB+1TB, priced at Rs 154,999, Rs 164,999 and Rs 184,999, respectively.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes in two storage variants of 8GB+256GB priced at Rs 99,999, and 8GB+512GB priced at Rs 109,999.
Customers pre-booking Galaxy ZFlip5 will get benefits worth INR 20000 and those pre-booking Galaxy Z Fold5 will get benefits worth INR 23000.
