Vivo Y78 5G has been launched in Singapore to make its global debut. Notably, Vivo launched Y78 5G in China earlier this month.
It features a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC and a 6.64-inch 120Hz display.
On the other hand, the global variant that went official in Singapore comes with a Snapdragon 695 SoC and a 6.78-inch 120Hz display.
The new model also features 64MP triple rear cameras instead of 50MP dual cameras.

Vivo Y78 5G Price, Availability & Colours
Vivo has yet to announce the availability and pricing of the new Y78 5G. However, the phone is expected to hit the shelves soon, and we will get to know the pricing in the coming days.
The global model in Singapore is being offered in Dreamy Gold and Flare Black colours. Notably, in China, the smartphone is available in Black, Jade Porcelain Blue, and Phoenix Feather Gold colourways.

The latest Vivo Y78 5G is equipped with a curved 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ screen resolution, and 20:9 aspect ratio.
For security, there’s an in-display fingerprint scanner. The plastic-clad smartphone measures 164.3 x 74.8 x 7.9mm and weighs 177g.
The smartphone also features an IP54 ingress protection rating, which means it can withstand splashes of water and dust.

It has a plastic body rated at IP54, meaning it will keep most of the dust out and can withstand a splash of water.
Tucked into a punch hole is a 16MP camera (f/2.45), while the rear has a single module of interest – a 64MP sensor combined with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. Also on the back are a 2MP macro cam and a 2MP depth sensor. That’s different from both the other Y78 phones, which have 8MP selfie and 50MP rear cameras.
The Y78 is powered by the Snapdragon 695. Not the fastest chipset, but it does enable 5G connectivity. vivo paired it with 8GB of RAM (plus up to 8GB more virtual RAM) and a generous 256GB storage (there is no expansion slot, however). Note that the chipset limits video recording to 1080p @ 30fps, just like it does on the Y78+. Anyway, the phone runs FuntouchOS 13/Android 13 out of the box.
