RBI Wants to Ban Cryptocurrencies; Says Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), according to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, is in favor of outlawing cryptocurrencies because it is worrying about their destabilizing impact on monetary and fiscal stability.

“In light of the issues stated by RBI on the disruptive influence of cryptocurrencies on the financial and economic stability of a country, RBI has urged for the formulation of legislation on this sector. In response to a question from the Lok Sabha on this subject, she stated in a written response that RBI believes cryptocurrency should be illegal.

The finance minister stated that only global cooperation will allow for effective regulation on this subject.  International cooperation is required to prevent systemic risk because cryptocurrencies are their nature borderless.

Therefore, any legislation for regulation or banning can only be effective after major international collaboration on assessing the risks and advantages and developing a uniform taxonomy and criteria, according to the expert.

In India, cryptocurrencies are currently unregistered, and the government is working to establish legislation to regulate them.

According to her, the central bank also voiced its worries about the damaging impact of cryptocurrencies on the economy. “RBI stated that cryptocurrencies are not a form of currency since a central bank or government must issue every kind of money today.

Furthermore, the value of fiat currencies is supported by monetary policy and their legal tender status, but the value of cryptocurrencies is solely based on speculation and unfounded expectations of high returns, which will destabilize the monetary and fiscal stability of a nation, according to the expert.

Guide on Using Gmail Offline
Guide on Using Gmail Offline

Undoubtedly one of the most popular email services on the market, Google regularly enhances Gmail by introducing new features and adjustments. The Mountain View behemoth has made it possible to use Gmail without an active internet connection. Check out this page to learn how to use Gmail’s offline mode.

Guide on Using Gmail Offline (2022)

By going to mail.google.com, you can read, reply to, and search your Gmail messages even if you aren’t online.

Any email service, including Gmail, has to be connected to the internet in order for users to check their inbox, receive new emails, and reply to them. However, if the offline mail feature for Gmail is enabled, customers will be able to access virtually all of the capabilities of Google’s email service even without an internet connection. Checking their mailbox, reading unread emails, and even sending new emails to recipients will all be possible.

Guide on Using Gmail Offline

Therefore, follow the instructions below to get started with Gmail’s offline mode immediately.

Access the settings by clicking the cog symbol in the top right corner of your Gmail account while it is open on a Mac, Linux, or Windows computer. Choose “See all settings” from the pop-up menu to access the options menu.

Choose the “Offline” tab from the top navigation bar.

Check the “Enable offline mail” box on this screen to activate Gmail’s offline mode. Additionally, you may select the feature’s preferred settings.

Click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom when finished.

Gmail will automatically sync your most recent emails for offline access and preserve them for a certain amount of time, ranging from 7 days to 90 days when the offline mode is on.

It is important to note that sending an email in offline mode will not really get the message to the intended recipient. As an alternative, it will save the written email in the “Outbox” folder and send it as soon as the user is connected again. Google advises users to bookmark Gmail on their Chrome browsers so they may use the service even when they are offline.

Google Play completes 10 years

Where would we be without good old Google to help us out in our times of need? Ever since its launch in the late 90s, it has undergone many changes and has acted as a developer for many of its newer variations of which Google Play is one of the best.

Google Play is a digital distribution service developed by Google that is considered an application for Android smartphones. You can call it the official app store of the Android operating system through which you can download and install numerous applications.

An important feature that allows users to identify a reputed brand application is its logo and Google Play too has one of its own so that it stands apart from other reputed logos of other brands.

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary, the logo underwent a massive revamp where the overall shape has been tweaked and the colours are less vibrant compared to the previous logo.

It is done so to match the red, green, blue and yellow hues that is used by Google for its other services and the revamping hopes to be a subtle way of adjusting to the new Google logo that was updated in early 2022 while this logo will serve to complement it.

Google Play is used by millions of people in more than 190 countries as they’re very interested in discovering new updates regarding apps, games and other content and this logo too should be counted amongst them as it has been launched to celebrate a milestone.

Apple A16 SOC Details Out

People are waiting with bated breath for the launch of iPhone 14 series but Apple is all enthusiastic to launch the Apple A16 chipset but this time it won’t be available for the entire line up as the company prefers to go for less flagship vanilla iPhone 14 and 14 Max and more flagship 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

A16

The Pro models are the privileged lot that get Apple A16, better screen design and cameras and the company has been generous enough to release some important details regarding the feature.

Apple A16 comes from TSMC’s N4P manufacturing and it is considered a worthy improvement over N5P but it isn’t a full generation upgrade of any sort but the chip will come with 18 to 20 billion transistors while Apple will switchover to the new ARMv9 standard.

Meanwhile, the company has high hopes that the CPU will bring a modest 15% upgrade in terms of performance while the configuration will continue to be Hexa-Core. Apple will continue to use Qualcomm modems, which means that Snapdragon X65 will bring the connectivity upon pairing with Apple A16.

It will be interesting to see how Apple A16 will be received by users even though it is a foregone conclusion that the reviews will be positive as and when it comes out.

Apple Begins to Show Rare Vulnerability Ahead of Economic Slowdown

Apple Begins to Show Rare Vulnerability Ahead of Economic Slowdown
Apple Begins to Show Rare Vulnerability Ahead of Economic Slowdown

The economy seems to have caught up with Apple. The firm appears to be sensitive to outside variables like growing inflation, rising interest rates, the rising US currency, and the prospect of a recession for the first time in a while.

In anticipation of a global economic slowdown. Apple aims to reduce spending and recruit across several teams over the next year. The company will release its fiscal third-quarter sales report later this week, and most experts believe it will be essentially flat compared with last year. Additionally, Apple’s supply chain still has some issues, which may restrict the availability of some of its upcoming gadgets.

Apple will not renew some positions when employees depart and will maintain a flat headcount for some teams as a result of the recruitment slowdown.

The business isn’t going as far as some of its major competitors, which had already announced mass layoffs, such as Tesla Inc., Meta Platforms Inc., and Microsoft Corp. Apple is avoiding layoffs and hasn’t made a public announcement about its plans as of yet. However, I believe Apple will indicate the change on its analyst conference call on Thursday.

The rate of increase in sales, according to analysts, will be around 2 percent lower than a year ago and the worst since 2020. in comparison to  Apple’s 36 percent increase during the third quarter of 2021.

It is estimated that revenue would total around $82.7 billion. According to experts, the iPhone will contribute just under half of that, with services bringing in nearly $20 billion.

The challenges faced by Apple to go beyond Economic challenges.

The organization has previously stated that the top line for the previous quarter can be reduced by $4 billion to $8 billion due to supply problems raised by Chinese lockdowns and the chip shortage.

People furnishing their home offices as a result of the epidemic spent a lot of money in the third quarter of 2021. As a result, sales of iPods and Macs saw a healthy increase.

Even though the most recent MacBook Air was revealed in the third quarter, it wasn’t made available until the fourth. Since the MacBook Air is Apple’s most popular Mac, many buyers put off purchasing one while they awaited the release of the next model.

Google Pixel 6a Tool unveiled

0
Google Pixel 6A
Google Pixel 6A

When it comes to the best smartphones, there’s no dearth to any of them out there as each tech brand has an adept model to offer and with the launch of Google Pixel 6a, the competition is getting fierce as iPhone 14 too will come out very soon.

A new smartphone of a reputed tech giant has many interesting features to its name but Google Pixel 6a has a unique one that makes it stand apart from other smartphones and it is called the Magic Eraser.

Being a newly released handset, users have little idea about its features especially the Magic Eraser so for starters, it is a camera tool through which you can erase unwanted objects from your pictures.

Google Pixel 6A

All you have to do is to select the object you want to remove and press the Magic Eraser button and voila! You won’t even realize it was ever there. However, as of now, this new feature camera tool is limited to new pixel smartphones only.

Apple launched this feature as well on its new software update, iOS 16, which will be helpful in cropping unwanted and unnecessary objects from the frame and the background so that the picture becomes crisp and easy to understand.

Android users haven’t yet got the privilege of using this feature in their smartphones although there is a workaround through which users of other smartphones can gain access to this unique feature or something similar to it.

To use this feature they need to download Snapseed, a Google app, which is also called Healing and has a tool similar to the Magic Eraser and you can use it by following the steps given below.

Steps

The first step, as mentioned above, is to download Snapseed on your Android or iPhone as the app is available for free on both your Google Play Store and Apple app Store but first be sure to go through the reviews.

Upon installing, go to the Snapseed photo editor app to select the image that you want to edit.

Next, go to the top left corner where you click ‘Open’ and select the images that need editing.

Now, click on ‘Tools’ and then ‘healing’ following which you mark the person/object that you want to remove from the image. A shortcut way to do it is to use your two fingers to zoom in on the area that has the person or object and then finally erase them completely.

At the bottom of the screen is where you’ll find the undo and redo arrows that you click on to discard the changes and in case you want to reverse the last edit, you can click on the back button on the bottom menu and finally, you save the image and tap ‘Export’ so that it gets saved in the gallery.

Issues faced while changing from Android to IOS by a user

0
Android to IOS

Operating systems for Android and iOS are very different. Although the two systems function identically, the way they actually operate could not be more distinct. There is undoubtedly a learning curve when switching from one operating system to another, from gesture support to customization. There are a few things about switching from Android to iOS that can truly bother you if users wish to switch to an iPhone.

It’s annoying to manage notifications

Over the past few years, Apple has made some significant updates but they still fall short of Android notifications in quality. You can still receive many banners for a single app (and they aren’t necessarily in chronological order), but similar app notifications will be packaged together. Fortunately, there is a workaround to that.

Notification management isn’t as simple as it could be. Within an Android app, you can customize the notifications you receive. On iOS, users must head to settings, scroll to the bottom to identify the app, and then change notifications. The community routinely raised complaints about it.

Android to IOS

The Google apps are not that user-friendly on iOS

If you use Google’s productivity tools, using them on iOS will probably be a nightmare. Even while the apps look and feel just like their Android counterparts, they lack user-friendliness. The reason for this is that Google apps like Documents and Sheets replicate their Android counterparts. They lack the same design principles as other apps on the platform, which makes them feel out of place on iOS.

The customization of the layout is restricted on iOS

It’s far more difficult to customise your home screen on iOS than it is on Android because iOS lacks the same customization options. Many users place a great value on customization, whether it is through the addition of widgets, the alteration of application icons, or even just the placement of apps.

Shopping on iOS is tricky

If an app doesn’t use Apple’s payment system, you won’t be able to purchase much from it. That’s presumably due to Apple’s harsh restrictions on in-app purchases, which have led to the complete withdrawal of the majority of businesses and developers. If you are accustomed to doing your internet shopping on your phone, the experience is awful.

Key Specifications

Regarding specifications, Realme Pad X runs on Android-12 based Realme UI 3.0 for Pad with an 11 inch display with a WUXGA+ resolution aside from being, as mentioned above, powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC and can be paired with a 6GB RAM.

The tablet is also equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera along with an 8 megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera that comes with a 105 degree field of view that is perfect for taking selfies and video calls.

Another interesting quality of Realme Pad X is that it is supported by a low-latency Realme Pencil, which is used for drawing and taking notes that comes with a battery backup of 10.6 hours and supports magnetic wireless charging.

The device also supports the Realme Smart Keyboard that has a key travel distance of 1.3mm and supports many keyboard shortcuts and is quite adept at multitasking combinations but all the mentioned accessories have to be purchased separately as per Realme.

Upcoming Xiaomi Smartphones in 2022

upcoming Xiaomi smartphones in 2022

Xiaomi is preparing for a flurry of product announcements in the coming weeks. The company is known for releasing phones under several big brands every month but has not released any new phones in recent weeks, most likely due to the Xiaomi 12 series. The forthcoming flagship series is getting a lot of attention, and Xiaomi plans to kick off 2022 with a boom.

Xiaomi 12

Xiaomi 12

A compelling flagship smartphone is the Xiaomi 12. Those who don’t want a large handset will appreciate its tiny form factor, and the design as a whole looks and feels fantastic. Additionally, you get some premium features like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, an AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and quick 67W charging. A telemacro lens won’t excite many buyers, despite the fact that it has a decent main camera and an excellent ultra-wide shooter.

The Xiaomi Mi 12 has a lot of positive aspects, but it is still not waterproof, and its battery life is average.

Poco X4 Pro

Poco X4 Pro

In terms of functionality and design, the Poco X4 Pro 5G is a significant improvement over its predecessor. Despite having a plastic body, it has a quality appearance and feels. The 120Hz AMOLED display has one of the smallest camera cut-outs we’ve ever seen and is brilliant, vivid, and buttery-smooth.

The phone can comfortably survive more than a day with ordinary use even though the refresh rate isn’t adaptive like expensive competitors. When it does require a top-up, there is 67W of rapid wired charging available (with the necessary charger supplied in the box). The 108Mp camera is also a genuine pleasure, providing outstanding clarity and color representation in well-lit areas, while night shooting may be enhanced due to the absence of OIS.

Xiaomi 12 Pro

Xiaomi 12 Pro

Although the Xiaomi 12 Pro has a lot going for it, it also has two significant drawbacks. We adore the elegant, subtle appearance, stunning display, and outstanding performance. And we (mainly) adore the camera, despite it not quite being the best in its class. Unfortunately, there is a glaring flaw with the battery life. It may be corrected in future releases, but for now, it is annoying.

Poco F4 GT

Poco F4 GT

The F4 GT is Poco’s attempt to conceal a gaming phone.

This smartphone, having a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, 12GB RAM, 120W quick charging, and pop-up shoulder buttons, will be appreciated by gamers.

Everyone else will appreciate that it doesn’t appear to be a gaming phone while still having a respectable 64Mp camera that can compete.

Xiaomi 12 Lite

Xiaomi 12 Lite

Among mid-range smartphones, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is a powerhouse. The square-edged shape is both contemporary and makes it simpler to grip in the hand. The Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite’s lightweight build is a welcome difference from the heavier choices accessible in this price bracket.

Once more, performance and cameras are excellent if you want anything for social media networks. When contrasted to all the other advantages on offer, the software can occasionally be a touch clumsy and the very sensitive display requires some getting used to.

Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G

Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G

Even though it can charge at 120W rates, the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge is a fantastic mid-range phone that can do much more than just fast charge, as its name suggests. The MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G chipset provides remarkable performance, and the 108Mp main camera also produces excellent results. The design is fantastic. The other camera lenses are less impressive, and the phone still comes with the older Android 11 operating system, which is the only serious drawback.

Xiaomi Mi 11

Xiaomi Mi 11

The Xiaomi Mi 12 has now been replaced by the Mi 11. The Mi 11 is still an excellent piece of hardware for the price. The quickest CPU from the previous year, a stunning display, and powerful cameras are all contained within a wonderful piece of industrial design. Some people won’t care about the IP rating, but for me, using a macro lens rather than a telephoto lens and the average battery life are the bigger cons.

Black Shark 5 Pro

Black Shark 5 Pro

In terms of gaming-specific features like magnetic triggers and gesture-activated shortcuts, the Black Shark 5 Pro now sits at the top of the Xiaomi Black Shark gaming phone lineup and checks all the right boxes for gamers.

The negative is a smaller battery than competitors, but 120W charging offers among the fastest charging periods available, achieving a full 100% charge in under 30 minutes.

The Black Shark 5 Pro has an impressive 108 Mp rear-facing camera, which is capable of taking decent pictures despite not typically being a focus for gaming phones. However, the decision to include autofocus capabilities on the macro lens rather than the more popular 120-degree ultra-wide lens leaves some ultrawide shots looking a little blurry.
