Deadpool has a secret Christmas theme script, but we might not see it

Deadpool Christmas theme

Both audiences and critics adore Deadpool. The two movies have shown that the merc with a mouth is capable of standing on its own two feet. Fans of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool can’t get enough of him, and the third featuring another fan favourite character, Wolverine, once again portrayed by Hugh Jackman. What if, however, we told you that another Deadpool film with a Christmas theme was planned but was suspended due to Disney’s purchase of Fox?

No, we are not talking about “Once Upon a Deadpool.” For those who don’t know, Once Upon a Deadpool is a PG-13 adaptation of Deadpool 2, in which Deadpool tells the tale of a kidnapped Fred Savage wrapped in a holiday theme but not quite a Christmas movie.

In a room that is an exact copy of his character’s bedroom from The Princess Bride, complete with Christmas-themed decorations, Savage is bound to a bed. Savage occasionally interrupts the action to voice his concerns about the plot.

After collaborating with Will Ferrell on their Apple TV+ Christmas musical Spirited, Reynolds was asked if he would film any more musicals. He responded, “I would love to see a song-and-dance number in a Deadpool movie.” The actor told the publication, “Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and I wrote a Christmas movie starring Deadpool four years ago.” It was never produced because Disney‘s acquisition of Fox caused it to get lost in the mix.

Reynolds said that the script is “a full Deadpool Christmas movie,” despite not being a musical, and he showed interest in filming the holiday-themed superhero movie in the future.

In the interview, he remarked, “Perhaps one day we’ll get to create that movie.”

Deadpool Christmas theme

There was never much doubt that Deadpool would return to theatres in some capacity after the acquisition given its box office performance. Fans understood they would have to wait a long time, though, as Marvel would need to integrate the character into the marvel cinematic universe. They were unaware that Reynolds and team were working on a second Deadpool film. They most likely were aware of the upcoming Disney purchase as well, given the timing.

Reynolds might reveal more information in the future, but the fact that he chose not to now could be a positive thing. He would probably be more inclined to reveal some narrative details if he knew the movie will never be made. It might be possible for him, Reese, and Wernick to revamp it into a fresh special presentation.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are writing Deadpool 3 from a prior draft by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin of Bob’s Burgers. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had guaranteed fans that the movie would maintain its R classification, exactly like the studio’s first two releases. As a result, it would be the first release from the studio to carry the aforementioned adult rating. Following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, it will be the first feature in the Deadpool movie series to be released. Currently, September 6, 2024 is the projected release date.

Planning to Quit Twitter? Here are Top 5 Alternatives You Can Turn To

Top 5 alternatives of twitter

Since the day Elon Musk showed interest in acquiring Twitter for a whopping $44 Billion for the first time, the micro-blogging and social networking app has become a lot more entertaining than before. The man has always been entertaining his followers on the app and since he became the owner, not a moment of calm has followed. While many may enjoy this continuous ring of chaos, some have been wanting to quit the platform for once and all.

Twitter is probably one of the most unique social media platforms where interaction is not limited to sharing images and videos and the platform genuinely encourages dialogue. Many users who have been wanting to quit couldn’t do so because of a simple reason that finding an alternative to something like Twitter isn’t easy. If you are one of those Twitter users who are planning to quit the platform but haven’t yet because of the lack of alternatives, we have identified the top 5 alternatives that you can turn to. Let’s find out what these alternatives are.

Mastodon

One app that everyone is talking about since the day people started voicing their plan of quitting Twitter is Mastodon. This is an open source software whose primary aim is to decentralize social networks. Unlike Twitter, the word limit here is a little higher with a 500-character limit. The platform allows users to publish various media files including art, music, and podcasts among others.

Koo

The best way to identify Koo has always been to call it the Indian version of Twitter. Countering the Blue Bird of Twitter, Koo is represented by a Yellow Bird. The platform has gained a decent amount of eyeballs in the past couple of years and recently crossed the landmark number of over 50 million downloads. Being the Indian version of Twitter, the social media platform is currently available in 10 Indian languages and if reports are to be believed, users can expect the app to expand to at least in 8 more languages soon.

Top 5 alternatives of twitter

Tumblr

Tumblr has its own base and has been quite popular amongst its users since its launch, which happened in 2007. It is a long-form blog-style content publishing platform where various types of media files can be published. However, photos and GIFs are some of the most popular media elements on Tumblr. The platform also supports direct messaging. Tumblr is quite famous among movie and TV show fandoms.

Clubhouse

Clubhouse may not seem a direct alternative to Twitter in its true sense but one of the biggest similarities between both apps is their primary objective is to encourage dialogue. What is different between both apps, however, is the style of content. Clubhouse offers voice-based conversation options in place of Twitter’s text-based microblogging. However, if you recently got addicted to Twitter Spaces then Clubhouse could be the thing you will enjoy. Users here discuss different topics of interest by hosting live audio chat rooms.

Cohost

Another alternative, though still in the beta phase, is Cohost. A social media platform where you can post messages on your timeline and share it with your followers. Cohost is programmed to let other users know about what you are posting automatically thus encouraging interaction and discussions. The platform, as per reports, will soon announce subscription based plans for users to join and build their presence on the platform.

iPhone 14 Pro Max is the fastest, according to Ookla

iPhone 14 Pro Max - Key Features

With the iPhone 14 Max Pro specifications, the phone has proven to be the best yet again in the fastest 5G category.

Which phone has the highest 5G speed in the world. Is it iPhone 14 pro max? Or some other smartphone. Well, we do not know about the world but we do know that the Apple iPhone 14 pro max is the fastest in 10 countries. How? you ask. Well, tech company Ookla conducted a test and the reports are in. Apple and Samsung look to be in the lead when it comes to smartphones that are providing users with the quickest 5G speeds, according to Ookla, on handsets that are the top 5G performance in regions with active 5G connections. The research, released on November 21st, states that Samsung led the charts in three of the top 10 examined nations with operational 5G networks, while Apple’s iPhones Max Pro topped the rankings in four of those countries. Furthermore, Apple, led by the iPhone 14 Pro Max in the US and UK markets, is present in eight of the top 10—in all markets, with the exception of China and the Philippines while Samsung is only available in at least six of the top 10 nations.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max tops the list in the US, according to the Ookla analysis, with average download speeds of 177.2 Mbps. With speeds of 171.2 Mbps, it is the best-performing 5G phone in the UK as well. However, Motorola’s Moto G 5G Plus, which recorded average 5G download rates of 358.4 Mbps, has the highest 5G speed of any handset in any market. However, Motorola is not generally associated with the top-ranking 5G smartphones. Along with Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series and the OnePlus 9 lineup, Apple’s iPhone 13 line and the upcoming iPhone 14 Max Pro models are among the list’s most reliable smartphones. It is significant to note that India is not included on this list since 5G services are currently being implemented there and are not yet reliably accessible throughout the whole nation.

iPhone 14 Pro Max

Ookla evaluated the 5G performance of phones with a “market share of higher than or equal to 0.5% of all devices and a minimum sample size of 100 devices in a particular market” using its Speedtest Intelligence measures. Ookla notes that performance might differ from country to country. Testing was done using the 5G providers that were accessible in each nation.

In addition, Ookla provides a set of precise standards by which it evaluated its survey for the September quarter. According to the company’s statement, “Our investigation investigated the five 5G devices with the highest growth rates in a certain nation.” A device has to have a market share of at least 0.5 percent of all devices and a minimum sample size of 100 devices in a specific market to be included. Only 5G samples from each 5G provider in a particular nation were included in each market we looked at. Therefore, performance undoubtedly varies between networks and between nations, but this gives you an idea of what you might typically anticipate.

Mark Zuckerberg to Continue as Meta CEO in 2023

Mark Zuckerberg
Meta CEO

Highlights

  • The report claimed that Zuckerberg has decided to step down himself and it will not “affect metaverse”, his multi-billion dollar project.
  • Despite serious concerns raised by investors and industry experts, Zuckerberg is determined to aggressively push his Metaverse dream.
  • Earlier this month, Zuckerberg sacked more than 11,000 employees — about 13 percent of the global workforce.

What Does the Report Say?

When the social media revolution happened during the mid-2000s, there were three new platforms that were launched- Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, that quickly captured the imagination of the general public.

The interesting thing is that all three continue to be popular even today, so many years later, even though there have been massive changes taking place ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter for a whopping $44 billion and that too after a year-long courtroom battle with the company.

Facebook was co-founded by Mark Zuckerberg, who has also served as its CEO since then, where in the process it has also been renamed Meta. In the midst of massive layoffs in tech companies like Twitter and Google, there were strong rumours floating that Mark Zuckerberg might step down as Meta CEO.

Meta CEO

The layoffs in question were happening due to slow network growth in all of the aforementioned platforms due to which many reports abounded that Zuckerberg was resigning from his coveted post after nearly two decades.

However, the reports were confirmed to be untrue as Meta has issued a clarification that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will continue to remain so in even in 2023 because he wants to move ahead with his ambitious Metaverse project.

Zuckerberg himself has sacked more than 11,000 employees, which is a whopping 13% of the global workforce that extended hiring freeze through the first quarter of 2023, while net revenue declined by 4% in the third quarter, coming down to $27.7 billion.

Many investors have invested heavily into the Metaverse dream that is worth billions of dollars but owing to the speedily declining revenue of Meta, they too are beginning to lose faith on the project and wondering whether it will ever come to fruition.

Conclusion

Many tech experts, including Meta CFO David Wehner, have attributed the decline in revenue to inflation, while the investors are advising the company to drop their workforce by 20% and refrain from making any more investments in the Metaverse project.

Given the situation, it will be difficult to say how things will turn out for Meta and whether Zuckerberg’s ambitious Metaverse project will ever see the light of the day or not, while the revenue decline continues to be a matter of serious concern.

HP to Layoff Nearly 6,000 Employees Owing to PC Market Decline

0
HP layoff nearly 6000 Employees
HP

Why HP is Making Layoffs?

HP Inc. is a name that everyone is familiar with as it is one of the biggest multinational organizations involved in Information Technology (IT) that develops and manufactures PCs, laptops, printers, among other things, including 3D printing solutions.

Since the past few weeks, the news of Elon Musk laying off thousands of Twitter employees all over the world owing to lack of performance has been discussed time and time again, with Musk also initiating an ultimatum to his remaining employees to work harder or meet the same fate.

It looks like HP too has decided to follow in Twitter’s footsteps and is in the process of laying of around 4,000 to 6,000 employees as the PC market has declined to an abysmal rate and it is this market decline that has become a major problem for all the tech companies in general.

This has been tech layoff season as of late with Twitter, Google, and now, HP is firing employees at a steady pace for various reasons. HP’s fourth quarter of 2022 has been revealed in its earning report and the company hopes to reduce gross global headcount by laying off 4,000 to 6,000 employees, which is nearly 7 to 11% of its entire workforce.

The company is apparently working on a ‘Future Ready Transformation Plan’ where it is estimating gross-rate cut savings of nearly $1.4 billion by the end of fiscal 2025, whilst restructuring and other charges of approximately $1 billion.

Fiscal 2022 has not been good for HP Inc. and its subsidiaries as the company’s net revenue for the year was $63 billion, which was a 0.8% drop from the previous fiscal year’s performance.

The net revenue of Personal Systems has been down by 13% year over year at $10.3 billion, while the printing net revenue was down by 7% at $4.5 billion. Overall, it can be said that the PC market is going through a rough patch at a global level following a major boom in the post Covid 19-era.

HP layoff nearly 6000 Employees

It goes without saying that tech jobs cuts continue across big name business and with the laying off of nearly 6,000 employees, HP Inc. hopes to regain some lost ground in the near or distant future as global shipments have totaled 74.3 million units during third quarter of 2022, which is a 15% drop in sales.

Snapdragon 782G: This is the future’s best-selling Qualcomm chip

0
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 replaced the Snapdragon 778G Plus. 778G+ will be replaced by Latest 782G Snapdragon processor. Let’s examine Qualcomm’s latest chip.

In the beginning of this year, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC as a replacement for the Snapdragon 778G Plus mobile platform that was announced in the previous year. Qualcomm has improved the capabilities of the Snapdragon 778G+ by releasing the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G central processing unit (CPU). The new mobile platform is almost identical to the one that came before it, with just a few minor modifications here and there. Let’s take a look at the most recent Qualcomm chipset, shall we?

Similar to the Snapdragon 778G+, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G is a chipset manufactured on a 6nm process and equipped with an 8-core Kryo 670 CPU and an Adreno 642L GPU. The CPU has the same core arrangement as the 778G+: one Kryo 670 prime core (Cortex-A78) that operates at 2.7 GHz but may be modified up to 200 MHz faster; three Kryo 670 gold cores (also Cortex-A78); and four Kryo 670 silver cores. All of these cores are clocked at 2.7 GHz (Cortex-A55).

Qualcomm asserts that the central processing unit (CPU) is now 5% speedier and the graphics processing unit (GPU) is now 10% quicker than it was in the Snapdragon 778G+.

Resolutions of up to 200 MP are possible with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G, just as they were with its predecessor. According to Qualcomm, the level of detail in images shot at 200 megapixels has risen. Additionally, it utilises the same Qualcomm Spectra ISP, which enables it to handle triple 14-bit ISPs, Quick Charge 4+ (which can charge the device to up to 50% capacity in 15 minutes), and Fused AI Accelerator architecture.

Snapdragon 782G

In terms of connection, Qualcomm’s FastConnect 6700 is equipped with built-in Bluetooth v5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 compatibility, allowing for transfer rates of up to 2.9 Gbps and providing plenty of room across the 6 GHz band. Both mmWave and sub-6GHz frequencies can be supported by a single Snapdragon X53 modem from Qualcomm.

At the beginning of this month, Qualcomm debuted its premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU at the Snapdragon Summit 2022, which was held in Miami. After a few weeks, the company debuted the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G system-on-chip (SoC). The previous Snapdragon 778G+ processor has been replaced with this new CPU, which only provides very small improvements.

Even though Qualcomm has not announced a sale date, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G is anticipated to make its debut inside the Honor 80, which will be released later on today. This is despite the fact that Qualcomm has not mentioned a release date. It’s possible that high-end Samsung mid range phones like the Galaxy A74 might benefit from using this chipset.
