Shein, the popular fast fashion giant is going to make a return to India soon. Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Retail has partnered with the Chinese fashion company to resume operations in India. Shein was banned along with 58 other Chinese-linked apps back in 2020 due to security reasons.

It is unclear how exactly the partnership will take place, and if Shein will operate independently.

Reliance Retail’s footprint is spread across India through offline stores and online as well, and it is being presumed that the Chinese company will use the conglomerate’s network of warehouses and stores.

Post the return, Shein will sell its cloth in Reliance Trends’ offline store and Ajio’s online store. Both these platforms are owned by Reliance and Ajio is popular for selling clothes at affordable prices in the country.

This new partnership will include sourcing, manufacturing, and retailing which means Shein will also source its fabrics from India for its global and local operations. As of now, Reliance has not confirmed any news regarding the development.

It is being said that the Indian government has approved the partnership between Shein and Reliance Industries.

Shein also sold its products through Amazon in India and also had its own online store in the country. The major reason for the success of the platform was providing affordable and designer clothes.

Earlier, Shein used to identify itself as a Chinese company, however, it is now based in Singapore which means it is a non-Chinese company now.

* The Shein ban in India was part of the first wave of Chinese-linked apps that were banned in the country. The ban was put in place due to a disputed border issue between India and China. 4) Can Shein be successful?

Ans) Well, between the time of Shein’s disappearance and FY22, there have been significant investments in startups and global companies that cater to Gen-z’s fashion needs. Everyone wants fashion and everyone wants it fast. So it isn’t surprising that venture capitalists struck 31 deals amounting to $212 million with fashion brands like Stumbl, Zouk and Virgio in FY22 alone.

Sure, the funding winter may have affected the number of deals in FY23. However, that doesn’t erase Gen-z’s hunger for frequent wardrobe makeovers.

But here’s the thing. These brands like Urbanic or BlissClub came in to fill the void Shein created when it left. So all of Shein’s customer base spread over these newly sprung companies in due course. This means that it could be hard to regain its past glory.

Then there are concerns about Shein’s plagiaristic practices and labour exploitation. It is no secret that the company has been a controversy magnet. In 2021, Levis filed a suit against it for stealing its jeans stitching patterns which the former had trademarked. That’s not all, brands like Mara Hoffman, Puma, Adidas, H&M and Ralph Lauren have also sued Shein for making confusingly similar apparel and competitive yet unfair pricing.

Besides, Shein has also been accused of exploiting Chinese labourers who are made to work even 75 hours a week so that the brand can produce cheap apparel. And lawmakers in the US are already prodding it to reveal its labour practices before it goes public in the US markets.

And if the audit unravels any nasty deets, then well, it may not be good news for Shein’s partnership with Reliance in India.

Motorola will unveil a couple of flip-style, vertically folding smartphones on June 1, 2023, believed to be the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra.

Rumors claimed the Razr 40 Ultra would also be called Razr+, and those are now corroborated by reliable leakster Evan Blass, who said the smartphone will be launched as Razr+ in the US and Razr 40 Ultra in the rest of the markets.

Blass also leaked the official marketing materials for the Razr 40 Ultra, which corroborate previous design leaks.

Additionally, the leakster posted a couple of videos showing different use cases of the Razr 40 Ultra’s cover screen, rumored to measure 3.5″ diagonally. You can watch them here and here if you are already following Blass.

Motorola is yet to divulge anything about the Razr 40 duo, but you can check the Razr 40 Ultra’s leaked specs here. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and pack a 3,640 mAh battery with 33W charging. However, some rumors claim it will come with a 2,850 mAh cell.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is set to launch on June 1st globally alongside the vanilla Razr 40. Various leaks and renders have already revealed quite a bit about the phones.

Now that we are just days away from the official announcement, there’s hardly anything left outside of the price. There are speculations the device will be called Motorola Razr+ in the US market.

Noted leakster, @evleaks shared the official promo render videos of the foldable phones. The promo videos show the phone will be available in Red, Grey, and likely a Black colour option as well.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Design

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra’s main highlight is the rear secondary screen, which is touted to be the largest on any clamshell foldable. Rumours have it that this screen will sport a 3.5-inch size.
This screen real estate will allow users to play games (select ones), reply to messages, click selfies with a viewfinder screen, and much more.

As for the rest of the design, the volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge. We can see a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. There could be an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra or Razr Pro is surely turning out to be a very interesting foldable with plenty of hardware upgrades. Turns out, there’s more to it when it comes to the features that its large outer display will bring.

While previous leaks have showcased the phone’s colour options via leaked renders, there’s now a new leak, which has suggested not just the design of the phone, but also the features enabled by its larger outer display. Meanwhile, Motorola has also finally announced a launch date.

Motorola via its official Twitter handle put out a teaser video showing a silhouette of two foldables smartphones, which could be the expected Motorola Razr 40 Ultra or Razr Pro and the Razr 2023.

Also shown in the short promo video is a date, which is expected to be for a global launch event. Motorola has set June 1 as the launch date for its upcoming Razr foldables.

Shortly after, Motorola USA also seemed to have confirmed the same by retweeting the same tweet, hinting that the device could be coming to the US market as well.

A few hours prior to Motorola making the launch timeline official, popular tipster Evan Blass released a bunch of promotional images of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra (or Razr Pro), that suggest the phone’s design and the features of its outer display as well.

The phone’s design has been leaked out in the past by the same source. However, these were renders. The new images of the phone show a grippy faux leather back, particularly for the Magenta (or Red) finish. The other phones appear to have a regular matte finish, which could be made out of glass.

The outer glass covering the large cover display (which is seen with two embedded cameras) also appears to have curved edges as per the leaked promotional images.

In terms of features, the images show the outer display being used for snapping selfies using the embedded primary cameras and also as a viewfinder for the subject when recording video.

Other applications for the outer display could include showcasing the album artwork with playback controls while playing music, viewing a video in full screen (with a scrubber), making payments, accessing the app drawer, and even playing a mini game, as seen in the images.

Lastly there’s also an image showcasing a very Samsung Galaxy Z Flip-like flex mode for making video calls, with the top part of the phone remaining upright when using the same. One of the promotional images also shows the Razr Pro alongside the base Razr, which is expected to be an affordable foldable option in the new lineup from Motorola.

As per previously leaked details, the Razr 40 Ultra is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and will offer up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. Its outer cover display could have a resolution of 1056×1066-pixels while the inner display could get 120Hz refresh rate and a 2640×1080-pixel resolution.

The cameras embedded in the outer display are expected to have 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors. The camera embedded in the inner foldable display is expected to have a 32-megapixel sensor.

In contrast, there’s very little that’s known about the Razr 2023 or the more affordable Razr. A recent report also leaked similar images showcasing a faux leather front and rear panels with a tiny outer display on the front panel alongside its dual primary camera setup.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is expected to launch in global markets as it has been spotted on various certification websites. The handset is expected be launched in China with the Motorola Razr Plus moniker, while the phone has shown up as the Razr 40 Ultra on certification websites in Canada, UAE, and India.

It has also cleared its BIS certification in India, which also hints at an India launch happening soon.

Another detail brought forward by Evan Blass is the fact that the premium Moto Razr 40 variant will have different names depending on the market. In the US, the device will be marketed as the Moto Razr +, while it will be known globally as the Moto Razr 40 Ultra.

It should be noted that Motorola has opted for an interesting approach to its lineup structure. Instead of launching a clamshell and a notepad foldable duo, the company has decided to release two clamshells – a high-end one, and another, more affordable one.

Ahead of its launch, a new report in association with tipster Sudhanshu – has tipped the key specifications of the upcoming smartphone, after revealing the details of its younger sibling, the Vivo V29 Lite 5G.

The leaked poster showcases a glimpse of the Vivo V29 Pro in a black colour option.

Vivo V29 Pro Might Offer a 50MP Front Camera

Similar to its predecessor, the upcoming Vivo V29 Pro will reportedly feature a curved OLED display. The display panel is tipped to measure around 6.7 inches in size and might offer a Full HD+ resolution. Similar to most mid-range handsets, the upcoming V-series smartphone will support up to 120Hz refresh rate.

The Vivo V29 Pro will reportedly feature a triple-rear camera setup. As per the leak, the primary shooter on the upcoming V-series smartphone will be a 64MP sensor.
While the specifications and functionality of the remaining two sensors in unknown. For selfies and video calls, it will be equipped with a 50MP front snapper.

The Vivo V29 Pro is said to come equipped with a 5000mAH battery unit. The handset will reportedly feature support for 66W fast charging. As per the leak, the upcoming V-series smartphone will feature 12GB of RAM. It will reportedly come equipped with 256GB of internal storage.

Other details such as the processor of the device remain under wraps as of now. The Vivo V29 Pro might be a rebranded Vivo S17 Pro which is expected to launch soon in the Chinese market. The Vivo S17 Pro was spotted on the Geekbench which revealed the presence of MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor under the hood.

Vivo V29 Pro 5G Launch Timeline

There is no official confirmation as of now, but the Vivo V29 Pro 5G might be launched in India as a rebranded version of the Vivo S17 Pro, which is set to launch in China soon. It is said that the Vivo V29 Pro 5G will go global in June and is expected to launch in India soon after that. However, we must wait for an official confirmation.
