That is to be expected as well from the chipset on offer as Unisoc has never been one to properly inculcate a high functioning GPU.

Most benchmarking applications failed to run on the device, although Geekbench was an exception giving a fair idea of the handset’s performance bandwidth.

Running on Android 13 with HiOS 13 as the user interface, the Tecno Pop 8 presents a clean setup with some pre-installed apps.

The UI is typical of Tecno devices, offering a degree of customization.

There’s uncertainty regarding an upgrade to Android 14, though security updates are promptly available post-unboxing.
