iQOO Neo 7 5G India launch event will be hosted next week in India. The Neo 7 5G will debut as a rebadged version of the Neo 7 SE 5G from China.

IQoo Neo 7 5G is scheduled to launch in India on February 16th and since the phone had already launched in China, we know how it looks and what are the specifications. The handset will arrive as a premium mid-range offering and the Indian variant is said to be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 8200.

According to Paras, the iQOO Neo 7 will be available in Interstellar Black and Frost Blue colour options. The handset should be available via Amazon online much like other iQOO products.

The Neo 7 5G is expected to launch in two storage options. The iQOO Neo 7 price in India is tipped to be Rs 34,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. This is an increment of Rs 1,000 over the 12GB RAM variant of the Neo 6 5G, which was launched for Rs 33,999. The company will be having a launch offer of Rs 4,000 cashback (bank and exchange bonus), which brings down the price to Rs 30,999.

The sale is said to start on February 19th or 20th. Effectively, the device will be available for Rs 30,999. The tipster did not reveal the pricing details of the 8GB RAM variant of the Neo 7 5G.

The phone will launch in Interstellar Black and Frost Blue colours.

In his Twitter thread, Dr. Sudhir detailed how a young woman’s vision was seriously damaged as a result of routine behaviour. Manju, 30, was diagnosed with blindness after spending a lot of time on her phone in the dark for around one and a half years, according to the doctor.

The symptoms, according to the doctor, were seeing floaters, intense flashes of light, dark zigzag patterns, and occasionally a lack of vision or concentration on objects.

SMARTPHONES Cause Blindness? How did a Doctor Try to Support This

Dr Sudhir Kumar, who goes by the username @hyderabaddoctor, said that his patient was diagnosed with blindness after using her smartphone frequently in the dark for roughly 1.5 years. The doctor listed floaters, dark zigzag patterns, bright flashes of light, and occasionally trouble focusing on or seeing specific objects as the symptoms.

The doctor described the instances where she occasionally experienced brief periods of vision loss. This mostly happened when she got up at night to use the restroom. She underwent a thorough evaluation by an eye specialist, and the results were normal.

After reviewing her medical history, the doctor discovered that she had developed a new habit of using her smartphone for several hours every day, including for a number of hours at night while the lights were out.

According to the doctor, she was diagnosed with smartphone vision syndrome (SVS). The doctor claimed he didn’t request any tests or write any prescriptions. Instead, he advised her on the potential causes of her eyesight impairment and to use her smartphone less.

At the one-month checkup, the doctor discovered that his patient was in perfect health and that her 18-month eyesight impairment was no longer present. Additionally, she no longer experienced a brief loss of eyesight at night.

Realme GT Neo 5 has been officially launched in China as the latest Neo series offering. The handset is the company’s most premium offering and will roll out globally soon. The handset ships with a variable heat dissipation system max with 6580 mm2 cooling area and 4500 mm2 3D VC cooling. There’s a 1500Hz gaming control engine, and antenna matrix system 2.0.

The phone comes with a transparent GB design inspired by transparent gaming chassis. This includes a transparent double-film zero-noise technology, a deco-integrated metal camera, and a halo RB system that has 25 colours and 5-speed adjuments.

The e-sports berserk lighting effect on the back can also be used for notifications like calls, messages and others. They also light up during the highlight moments of the game. The phone comes in two models: one with 150W rapid charging speed and the other with 240W fast charging.

The 240W adapter can charge the GT Neo 5 to 20% in 80 seconds, to 50% in 4 minutes and 100% in under 10 minutes. The company says that just 30 seconds on the wire can provide up to 2 hours of talk.

The phone will also work with legacy VOOC and SuperVOOC chargers, which will also be able to provide their maximum power to the smartphone through the USB-C port.

As for the cameras, the Realme GT Neo 5 features triple rear cameras on the back, with a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS, f/1.88 aperture, an 8MP IMX355 ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP GC02M microscope lens. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.

Realme GT Neo 5 has an 8-component cooling solution, including a vapor chamber and multiple layers of graphite for heat dissipation. The fast charging could also be demanding from the phone, but Realme got a TUV Rheinland certification to confirm its safety. Charging tests in the Realme Lab revealed the phone heats up no more than 10 degrees C, and is able to withstand 1,600 charges from 0 to 100% while keeping 80% of its capacity – that’s over four years of typical usage.

The phone measures 163.85×75.75×8.9 and weigh 199 grams. The phone is equipped with Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res Audio.
