Vivo Y100 India Launch Confirmed, Design, Colour Options Revealed
Vivo Y100 has officially been teased via the company’s Twitter handle and indicates its imminent launch in the Indian market.
The device has been doing rounds on the internet thanks to its appearances on Geekbench, the BIS certification website and Google Play Console listings.
We also exclusively reported the price segment that the Vivo Y100 will be catering to ahead of its launch in the country.
The device is expected to get MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset, an AMOLED display, a 64MP main camera and more.
The image shown below shows Bollywood actress Sara Khan endorsing the Y100. As can be seen, the device will come in beige and blue colours.
The Y100 can be seen sporting flat edges. A microphone is available on the top edge of the device. The right side of the phone has a volume rocker and a power key. It features a triple camera unit with OIS support.
Its front image which was spotted in its Google Play Console listing in the recent past revealed that it is equipped with an AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
The teaser video confirms that the upcoming Vivo Y100 will be available in at least two colour palette, Rose Gold and Blue.
While the company has been teasing the smartphone for some time now, the latest teaser also reveals the design of the Vivo Y100.
The Vivo Y100 will get an industrial-looking design with a flat back and right-angle cut sides.
The Y100 will however mimic a premium look thanks to its shimmering Rose Gold paint. The rear camera housing will be dominated by two blacked-out circular housing for the triple camera system and LED flash.
Vivo Y100 Price, Specifications (Expected)
The Vivo Y100 is expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset paired with
6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage & ARM Mali G68 GPU. The internal storage should be expandable via a microSD card.
The device will boast a 6-inch AMOLED display with support for 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, 440 ppi pixel density ,HDR10+ and 1300 nits of peak brightness. The exact screen size is not known yet. Y100 has a thin and lightweight design.
At the back, there will be a triple camera setup comprising of a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP tertiary sensor and an LED flash. The front camera duties are expected to be handled by a 50MP shooter. The device is expected to run on FuntouchOS UI skin based on Android 13 mobile OS. The Vivo Y100 is expected to offer 5G connectivity.
Vivo Y100 released in India has a V2239 model number. Its global version has a 2240 model number.
The Vivo Y100 could carry a price tag of just under Rs 27,000. The device is expected to be launched sometime this month, i.e. February 2023.
