Chinese smartphone brand Realme is prepping up to unveil the Realme GT Neo 6, but, the company has not yet revealed any specific launch timeline for the upcoming device.

Ahead of that, tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has revealed the alleged specifications of the Realme GT Neo 6, which indicates that the phone will pack interesting features such as a 144Hz display, 100W fast charging support, overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and more.

Realme introduced the Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone in China earlier this year in February. The company also launched the Realme GT Neo 5 SE model last month in China. Now, it appears the brand is prepping to introduce a new GT series smartphone, the Realme GT Neo 6, in the coming few months.

Ahead of the official launch, the key specifications of an upcoming Realme phone are tipped by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. While DCS hasn’t mentioned the name of the device, we suspect the leaked specifications to be of the Realme GT Neo 6 smartphone.

Realme GT Neo 6 Specifications Tipped

As per the leaked details, the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 will boast a flat OLED display with very narrow bezels. The handset is tipped to feature a 1.5K+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 2160Hz PWM dimming support.

The display size details of the device were not revealed by DCS. We can expect the Realme GT Neo 6 to offer the same 6.74-inch display as that of the Realme GT Neo 5.

Powering the smartphone under the hood there could be an overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The handset might pack LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The device is suspected to ship with a larger battery which could offer 100W fast charging support.

Past reports suggest that the handset will feature a 50MP primary camera with OIS support. The device might sport a circular camera module like that of the Realme 11 Pro series smartphones.

Digital Chat Station revealed earlier that the handset will debut alongside the Realme 11 series. However, we now expect the phone to launch sometime in Q3 this year. Flipkart’s micro-site for the upcoming Realme smartphones has revealed the partnership between Bollywood King and Realme. The micro-site reveals the image of SRK holding the upcoming Realme 11 Pro+ 5G smartphone. The site also adds a quote of SRK saying that He’s ready for the next leap with the upcoming Realme smartphone.

Some reports on the web say the partnership with SRK might be only for the upcoming Realme 11 Pro series smartphones. Some netizens on the internet are worried about the price hike since Realme has roped in a Bollywood superstar for the upcoming smartphone. It would be interesting if the forthcoming Realme smartphones also broke the record of pricing of other Realme number series devices.

The company is advertising that the smartphone’s camera performance has been significantly upgraded over its predecessors. Realme uses a “Leap-forward camera” tagline for the upcoming device since it uses an upgraded 200MP ISOCELL HP3 sensor.

Realme equips both smartphones with a large 6.7 inches curved AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 950 nits, HDR10+ certification, and more.

Underneath, both devices are equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The smartphone runs on Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13 out of the box.

The primary difference between both smartphones lies in the camera setup. The Realme 11 Pro+ sports a triple-rear camera setup with a 200MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The punch-hole in the display houses the 32MP selfie camera.

The company has confirmed that the Tecno Camon 20 series will be launched in India on May 24th. And, as per the company, users can pre-book smartphones from the series via retail stores.

Meanwhile, the series has four smartphones but the company has listed only the Tecno Camon 20, and the Tecno Camon 20 Pro on the Indian website, which indicates that Tecno might launch only these two smartphones in India.

Tecno Camon 20, Camon 20 Pro 5G: Specifications

Tecno Camon 20 features a 6.67 inches AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution. It is equipped with MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, built on a 12nm process. The chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Tecno also offers a virtual memory option to expand the RAM up to 8GB.

In terms of optics, it is equipped with a triple-rear camera setup with an integrated LED flash with a ring. The setup consists of a primary 64MP sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a QVGA camera. Tecno has integrated a centred punch-hole to house the 32MP front camera, which also is assisted using dual LED flash.

The smartphone is backed by a large 5000mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging tech.

The higher Tecno Camon 20 Pro 5G sports a similar sized 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. However, Tecno has upgraded the refresh rate to 120Hz compared to the vanilla Camon 20.

Both smartphones are also equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Camon 20 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset, built on a 6nm process.

Like the vanilla Camon 20, the Pro variant is also paired with 8GB of RAM, which supports virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB and 256GB of storage. In terms of optics, the Pro variant gets a proper triple-rear camera setup with an integrated LED flash.

The setup comprises of primary 64MP sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The Pro variant gets the same 32MP front camera with dual LED flash. The primary difference lies in the design, where the Pro variant has a textured leather rear panel with water resistant ceramic panel.

The Camon 20 Pro 5G is backed by a large 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

We can expect Tecno to reveal the prices of the smartphones at the India launch on May 27. Both phones are likely to be priced aggressively starting at under Rs 15,000 for the Camon 20, while the Pro variant is likely to be available in the sub-Rs 20,000 price category.

Tecno Camon 20, Camon 20 Pro India Price

Currently, there is no information about their India pricing. However, the phones were launched in Nigeria at NGN 133,300 (approx Rs 23,800) and the Camon 20 Pro at NGN 155,400 (approx Rs 27,700). We must wait for the company to reveal the Indian price of these smartphones.
