According to Chinese tipster Smart Pikachu, Oppo’s next-generation wide foldable smartphone may arrive with improved display technology aimed at making the screen crease far less noticeable. The device is currently referred to as the Oppo Find N7 Wide, although we are not sure about the exact naming strategy yet.

The tipster also suggested that the device could feature a horizontally positioned camera module on the back panel.

That’s not all! Apart from the foldable phone, the leak suggests that Oppo is testing the successor to its flagship Ultra-series smartphone. In a previous tip, well-known Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has suggested that Oppo was currently testing a new book-style wide foldable smartphone. Although exact details were mentioned, it was projected to target a launch sometime in the first quarter of 2027.

According to the tipster, the prototype has a foldable inner display measuring around 7.6 inches paired with a 5.5-inch cover screen. It was also revealed that Samsung Display and BOE are reportedly working with Oppo on the development of the display panels.

On the hardware front, the foldable is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s future Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, which is rumoured to be manufactured using a 2nm process. Oppo is also believed to be working on an upgraded hinge system that could further reduce the appearance of the display crease. This aligns with the latest claims pointing toward significant improvements in crease management for the upcoming foldable.

While Oppo has not officially confirmed the device, the latest leaks suggest that the company is focusing on both design refinement and display advancements as it prepares its next-generation foldable smartphone.

Nothing Teases Mysterious “(b)” Product After Confirming No CMF Phone 3 Pro Launch in 2026

0

Highlights

  • Nothing shared a cryptic “(b)” teaser on X sparking speculation about a new product.
  • Some reports suggest it could be the Nothing Phone (4b) expanding the mid‑range lineup alongside the Phone (4a) series.
  • The teaser may also hint at a new audio product like earbuds or headphones.

Nothing has once again sparked speculation among fans with a cryptic teaser on social media. Shortly after confirming that CMF will not launch a new smartphone in 2026, the company’s official X account shared a simple teaser leaving the tech community guessing about what could be coming next. Here’s the full story.

Could a Nothing Phone (4b) Be in Development?

Nothing has shared a mysterious post on X. The mysterious teaser says “(b)” and has led to speculation that Nothing may be preparing to launch a new smartphone possibly called the Nothing Phone (4b).

If the speculation turns out to be accurate, the device could join the recently launched Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro models. This will further expand the company’s mid-range smartphone portfolio and help fill a gap in the lineup especially since Nothing has not introduced a flagship Phone (4) this year. Notably, the brand continues to rely on the Phone (3) as its highest-end smartphone.

A Phone (4b) would also represent a new naming strategy for the company. Until now, Nothing has primarily used standard numbered models and “a” series variants for its smartphones.

Interestingly, the teaser was posted just hours after Nothing and CMF co-founder Akis Evangelidis revealed that the company had decided to cancel plans for a successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro due to rising component costs. While many expected a quiet period following the announcement, Nothing appears to have shifted attention to a new product tease almost immediately.

What To Expect From New Nothing Device?

At the moment, Nothing has not shared any details beyond the teaser itself. However, industry observers and fans have already begun speculating about what a potential Phone (4b) could bring.

Some believe it could be an upgraded mid-range smartphone featuring improvements to the Glyph Interface, enhanced camera capabilities, and better battery performance. However, there is also a chance that the teaser may not be related to a smartphone at all.

There is also speculation that the company could be preparing a new audio product such as wireless earbuds or headphones under a new “b” branding. Since Nothing has previously expanded its portfolio across smartphones and audio accessories, both possibilities remain open.

Reports have suggested that the Nothing Phone (3) has seen underwhelming sales in certain markets, which is why the company could be expanding its mid-range offerings as a strategy. Affordable and value-focused devices may become increasingly important as component costs continue to rise across the industry.

For now, we do not have any details related to what the “(b)” teaser actually represents. We can expect more teasers to emerge in the coming weeks as Nothing gradually reveals what the mysterious “(b)” stands for.

Nothing Confirms No CMF Phone 3 Pro Launch in 2026 Amid Rising Memory Costs, Teases Upcoming Products Using Pokémon Images

0

Highlights

  • CMF by Nothing has confirmed it will not launch the CMF Phone 3 Pro this year due to rising memory and storage costs.
  • Co‑founder Akis Evangelidis explained that meaningful upgrades over the CMF Phone 2 Pro would require higher prices.

CMF by Nothing has now confirmed that it will not launch the CMF Phone 3 Pro this year ending months of speculation. Meanwhile, Nothing teased upcoming products by positing Pokemon-themed teasers on official social media pages just a day ago. Here’s more on recent developments.

CMF Phone 3 Pro Won’t Launch This Year (Confirmed)

Nothing and CMF co-founder Akis Evangelidis has confirmed that the brand has decided to skip launching a new smartphone in 2026. Evangelidis, in a post on X, explained that rising memory and storage costs played a major role in the decision.

Evangelidis said that it is difficult for the brand to offer any meaningful upgrade over the current CMF Phone 2 Pro without significantly increasing costs due to current market situation.

The executive revealed that the company had been working on a successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro. However, after evaluating the situation, CMF decided it would rather delay the product than release a smartphone without any substantial upgrades.

He further stated that the company wanted to be transparent with its community instead of launching what many users might view as a minor or iterative upgrade. The decision highlights a challenge currently affecting much of the smartphone industry. Memory and storage component prices have been increasing, putting pressure on brands operating in the budget and mid-range segments.

CMF has built its identity around offering strong specifications at aggressive prices. Raising prices substantially could weaken one of the brand’s biggest advantages. To recall, the CMF Phone 2 Pro was introduced in April 2025 with a starting price of Rs 18,999.

New CMF and Nothing Products Still on the Way

While there will be no CMF Phone 3 Pro this year, the company says it still has several products planned for the remainder of 2026.

Evangelidis confirmed that CMF is working on multiple new launches including products from entirely new categories. He also hinted that Nothing’s smartphone launch roadmap for the year is not yet complete suggesting another smartphone announcement could arrive in the coming months.

In the meantime, Nothing has started a fresh round of its teaser campaign using Pokémon-themed clues. The company recently shared images of Blastoise and Jumpluff in its signature dot-matrix style hinting at at least two upcoming products.

Nothing traditionally assigns Pokémon-themed internal codenames to its products and uses these characters as launch teasers. While the company has not officially revealed what the latest teasers are about, industry speculation suggests that a new smartphone and a pair of wireless earbuds could be in development.

Interestingly, Nothing India has also shared the Blastoise teaser indicating that at least one of the upcoming products is expected to launch in the Indian market.

For now, CMF fans may have to wait longer for a new smartphone but Nothing appears ready to expand its portfolio with other devices before the year ends.
