The upcoming iQOO 16 has appeared on Geekbench, giving us an early look at its processor, RAM configuration and benchmark performance. The flagship device is expected to launch in October 2026 and could be among the first devices to use Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. Here’s what we know based on recent leak.

iQOO 16 Geekbench Listing Reveals Key Processor Details

iQOO 16 carrying model number vivo V2606A has appeared on Geekbench and is listed with the QTI SM8975 chipset, which is the internal model number believed to belong to Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The Geekbench entry also shows 16GB of RAM.

In the benchmark test, the iQOO 16 recorded 3,434 points in the single-core test and 9,334 points in the multi-core test.

Interestingly, these numbers are lower than the results achieved by the iQOO 15 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in an in-house Geekbench test, where it scored 3,621 points in single-core and 10,579 points in multi-core testing.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro – What To Expect?

Qualcomm is expected to officially announce the new flagship processor at the Snapdragon Summit in September. Until now, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro was only tipped to power the iQOO 16, but the latest Geekbench listing provides strong evidence supporting those reports.

However, the low Geekbench scores may not be a major concern at this stage. The Geekbench listing is likely based on an early engineering build, meaning the final retail version could deliver significantly better performance when it launches.

Qualcomm is expected to introduce two flagship processors in September this year, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.

Both chipsets are expected to be manufactured using a 2nm process, although the Pro version is tipped to offer higher clock speeds. The iQOO 16 Geekbench listing shows two of its eight CPU cores running at more than 5GHz.

iQOO 16 Expected Specifications

Apart from the processor and RAM details revealed by Geekbench, several other iQOO 16 specifications have already surfaced through leaks.

The smartphone is rumoured to feature a large 8,500mAh battery and a 6.85-inch 2K Samsung flat display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The flagship is also expected to support 100W fast charging, which should help recharge its large battery at a faster rate.

The iQOO 16 is currently expected to launch in October and the company could begin teasing the smartphone sometime in September as per the latest reports.
