Redmi India has shared a new teaser video on the official X account and dedicated microsite on Redmi’s official India website. While it doesn’t specify the name of the smartphone, the latest teaser confirms that its upcoming Note series phone will come with a 10,000mAh battery. The brand has also not disclosed any other specifications through the teaser or the dedicated microsite.

However, the combination of the Note branding, the ‘Max’ name and the massive battery makes the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max the most likely.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max in India – Expected Specifications

Redmi Note 17  Pro Max was recently launched in the global markets with the same 10,000mAh battery. If Redmi brings the existing Note 17 Pro Max to India without major changes, the 10,000mAh battery will undoubtedly be its biggest selling point. The phone should still be capable of handling everyday tasks, while its large AMOLED display could make it an attractive option for users who consume a lot of content.

As for other key spaces, you can expect a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness and a 3,200Hz touch sampling rate. The global version of the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and can be configured with up to 512GB of storage.

Liked highlighted previously in this report, it houses a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports 100W fast charging. This represents a substantial increase over the 6,500mAh battery found in the Note 15 Pro+, although both phones support 100W charging. Redmi has also included 27W reverse charging, allowing the phone to be used as a power source for other compatible devices.

The camera hardware, meanwhile, appears less ambitious. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max comes with a 50-megapixel primary camera featuring OIS along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For selfies, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

This is a significant downgrade from the predecessor Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which features a 200-megapixel OIS-enabled primary camera.

More information including the name confirmed from official sources can be expected in the next few days.
