Here’s how to change the password of your Windows 11

0

Changing your password is frequently considered to be a good practice. It not only keeps your account safe but also acts as a great memory exercise for you. Just Kidding! Changing passwords helps to keep your account secure as it becomes very complex for anyone else to crack it. The change in number and symbol variations works quite well to make the hackers scratch their heads hard. Additionally, the process is quite simple too. We all know how we change the password of our phone, but what about Windows? Do you know how to change the password of your windows 11? If not, here lies the answer.

How to change the password of your Windows 11

Changing the password of your Windows 11 is a simple process. It just requires a few clicks and you can easily get a new password. You are only required to know your existing password and the one you would like it to be next.

But before moving on to the process, let’s just talk a little about Windows Hello. With Windows 11 you also get a passwordless authentication method called Windows Hello. Using this you can set your fingerprint, facial recognition, set a physical security key, and even use a PIN instead of a bing alphabetical password to secure it. All these easy methods will keep your window safe without using a password to sign in.

Earlier, Windows have the option to allow all the users to switch between using Windows Hello and password-based authentication to access their PCs. Now, Windows 11 seems to change a lot with a more straightforward approach. Microsoft has been trying to kill passwords for years, and it recently advised(opens in a new tab) millions of people to delete their Microsoft account’s password in favour of one of the authentication options available via Windows Hello.

But, this is for the ones who are still stuck with the physical password sign-in. Local accounts that haven’t been set up to use Windows Hello can still rely on passwords to sign in, though. Here’s how to change your password in Windows 11.

Steps to change your password in Windows 11

Step1: Open the Settings App on your accounts page.

Steps to change your password in Windows 11: open settings app

(To do this quicker you can simply launch the Start Menu and then search for ‘Password”. Then select “Change your Password” and this will automatically launch the Settings App to the appropriate Accounts page).

Step2: Click ‘Password’.

Steps to change your password in Windows 11: Click password

(Note that this option will only be available if you haven’t enabled any of the Windows Hello authentication tools; otherwise, the Password section isn’t shown).

Step3: Tap on ‘Change.’

Steps to change your password in Windows 11: Click change

(A drop-down menu should appear telling you that “You’re all set up” and offering a button called “Change” that leads to the password setup screens shown below).

Step4: Enter your current password.

Enter your current password

Step5: Enter your new password and hint.

enter your new password

(It’s worth noting that, unlike other operating systems, Windows 11 doesn’t allow you to leave the “Hint” field blank, so you have to enter something. Choosing meaningless punctuation or a deliberately misleading hint can help make sure nobody else can guess your password based on this information).

Step6: Click ‘Finish.’

finish setting your new password on windows 11

You’ll now be able to log in to Windows 11 using your new password. Note that this is for local accounts only and, if you are using a Microsoft account, this won’t work and it won’t change that password for other computers or Microsoft services.

Infinix Hot 12 Play Review: A wholesome pack for your daily needs

Infinix Hot 12 Play review

With the smartphone industry growing and improving each day, the prices for the devices are also going sky high. The heavy-featured smartphones also come with a heavy range and thus going a little out of your budget. However, there are always some exceptions and Infinix Hot 12 Play is one such example. The phone comes from the budget-friendly tech brand, offering some amazing smartphones under Rs 10,000 in the Indian market. Infinix Hot 12 Play is the recent addition to the brand’s HOT series which comes at a price of Rs 8,599, not even the whole 10k segment. The smartphone features an amazing battery life and some specs that you even won’t find on mid-range budget mobiles.

Infinix Hot 12 Play is the recent offering from the brand and an addition to its budget-mobile series. The phone was launched globally starting May 30, 2022, and is now available to buy at various online and offline stores. Now, the one major perspective Infinix has fixed its focus on- is to bring killer launched within the budget of the consumer. So, does this one fulfil the expectations and is one of the best choices in the budget range? Let’s take a look at it together. The phone has been with me for more than 15 days now.

Design

Talking about the design of the smartphone, The Infinix Hot 12 Play comes with a stylish polycarbonate back with a gradient finish. The coral blue colour looks almost looks very pretty and the blue colour helps its transitions stand out with light reflecting on it. However, the colour also adds to the zillion budget phones that we have seen in the Indian market, like the Moto E7 from 2021. The back also features the camera configuration at the top left corner with an LED Flash. Infinix Hot 12 Play also has a physical fingerprint sensor placed in the middle. The phone is not your regular-sized one, it is a massive phone that is going to show up with a full glance in your hands. However, one good thing about it, even after the big size, the phone doesn’t feel heavy at all. Infinix Hot 12 Play weighs around 200 grams, which, given that it has a massive battery, is pretty amazing. My only concern here is that it doesn’t fit every jeans pocket, but if you are into flashy big things this is the one you can try!

Infinix Hot 12 Play review: Design

For more design specs, it comes with a punch-hole display, something that is still very new in this price segment. It also has a volume rocker and a phone lock button which are very clicky. However, the fingerprint sensor at the back is too high to reach in a single try for those with small hands because this is a big smartphone for single-handed use. Still, the performance covers it all as it has the optimum power with instant finger recognition. Overall, the device feels big in hand and at its price, the build quality is fine. Summarising the entire design feel,  the smartphone is no head-turner as mostly matte or glossy finishes are taking it. It seems quite straightforward with a sprinkle of jazz with a dual-colour tone.

Display

Infinix Hot 12 Play comes with a big 6.82-inches display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1640 x 720 pixels. It also features a 90Hz refresh rate, a screen-to-body ratio of 90.66 % and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display is nothing new or unique as compared to other available options. It is also quite identical to its other predecessors, however, most phones come with a similar display at this price point so we can’t complain much. Coming to the display performance, it offers smooth animations and scrolling since it has a 90Hz refresh rate. It also seems quite good with the colour quality as they seem very vivid. It’s a quite satisfactory performance given this is a budget phone, right?  Yes, of course, but a better resolution would have been more appreciated! It lacks the sharpness that we expect from a full HD panel. The outdoor visibility is also decent on this one, but you might see some glares in the sunlight.

Performance

The Infinix Hot 12 Play comes with XOS 10.0 based on Android 11. It also comes equipped with the UniSOC T610 1.8 GHz Octa-core processor. It has 4GB RAM paired with 64GB storage, with even support of up to 3GB virtual RAM extension support. Now, this is the same processor that also comes installed in the Infinix 12 as well. So, in short, the experience wasn’t crummy, it does perform very decently.

The phone does have some sit-backs like the animations might seem choppy, or you might face some app crashing while using them. However, the phone still is a better performer than its recent successor, the Hot 11 2022. With the UniSoC processor, this does come with some bloatware but considering its predecessors come with an Helio G35, this is still much better. The G30 series is only known to do the bare minimum and registers its presence as a processor. However, UniSoC features the octa-core architecture. Even if we talk on paper, it performs almost double as compared to the Helio.

Another good thing is that the phone comes with its latest security patch, so it was really great. Overall, it worked smoothly while I was scrolling through my social media or even on the calls. I didn’t even face any issues during my binge-watch hours on Netflix as well. I have also run BGMI on HD High graphics on this one and to my surprise, it performed decently well, I couldn’t see any lags or sudden crashing whatsoever. So if you too are a right-handed user, this is definitely a good budget option for you. Overall, the chipset seems capable enough to handle the day-to-day tasks of the users, as most of them are not into heavy gaming anyway.

Cameras

Infinix Hot 12 Play features a dual-camera setup that houses a 13MP primary lens that has an aperture of f/1.8 paired with a depth sensor. On the front, you will get an 8MP selfie camera. Now coming to the image quality, it is somewhere what you can expect from a budget phone- “Very Standard”. The images do appear to be fuzzy and whitish.

The daylight images also lacked some detailing along with a very low to medium sharpness. The images produced were somewhere oversaturated as well, hence the colour quality also suffered miserably. Edge detection in portraits works decently fine and makes the photos look okayish. Then coming to the night images, the images looked very blurry and couldn’t recognise any details.

Infinix Hot 12 Play review: Camera

For selfies, the images were fairly decent and subject separation in portrait mode was also good. The contrast and skin tone recognition are not that stable, but they performed quite well. Also, you can light the flash on while you take a selfie in low light, which is again something quite great. Just the punch of colours and the sharpness were also missing from the selfie camera. Overall, the camera on this one is pretty standard, but considering the budget range, it’s quite balanced. Also, there are smartphones that don’t stand out for their camera performance in this budget range, but this is pretty decent.

Battery

Now, Infinix Hot 12 Play comes with a massive battery of 6000mAh, which in my opinion is the highlight of this smartphone. This battery power combined with the given processor is a great pair that could get you through the day easily. The phone even after using a whole day lasts quite well without qualms. The smartphone also comes with 10W charging, hence taking up a lot of time to charge up.

Infinix Hot 12 Play review: BATTERY

If you’re a light user with only some scrolling and calling, this can easily last you up to 2 days. However, even with heavy usage, the battery won’t die in a day.

The Hot 12 Play is currently Rs 8,499 for a single variant featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It comes in three colour options – Daylight Green, and Racing Black, Horizon Blue. It is also available to buy from Flipkart and other online/offline retail outlets.

Infinix Hot 12 Play review: Verdict

Coming to the question Is Infinix Hot 12 Play a good budget option to go for? The answer is yes. This might not be the perfectionist, but a fair deal for buyers looking to get a budget smartphone.  The smartphone also comes with a Gyroscope setting that some other phones lack, given this budget range. Also, it comes with a massive battery power that lasts you all day long. It also comes with a 90Hz refresh rate, eliminating all the lags for effortless scrolling all day. The massive screen in this range is also something not available that easily. Therefore, if an average camera and standard display are not your primary focus, then it is definitely a yay to get for yourself.

Influencers in India are using innovative apps to create unique content and embellish it with hashtags and clever captions to increase their followers and enhance their social media content, reveals AppyHigh, a mobile internet technology firm. AppyHigh builds apps for everyday use for smartphone users across categories such as social media creativity, utility, productivity, content and entertainment, among others.

The above revelation is backed by the hashtag generator tool of Instore, AppyHigh’s AI-enabled all-in-1 creator tools app, which discovered that its users performed nearly half a million hashtag searches and generated more than 300 million hashtag suggestions in a month. The hashtag generator feature of the InStore app by AppyHigh helps creators to capitalize on the power of trending hashtags by suggesting a variety of hashtags for their desired keyword or popular categories.

Not only can the creators search for hashtags using keywords, the app also allows users to generate relevant hashtags by scanning an image. In fact, nearly 17% of the hashtag results on InStore were generated using the image upload feature. InStore enables creators to develop trend-worthy content with the least effort in the shortest possible time. The most popular topics for which users look for hashtags on InStore are love & relationships, travel, fun & entertainment, and moods.

A vital tool for gaining attention

According to the Indian Influencer Marketing Report, the Indian influencer marketing industry is estimated to reach a value of Rs 900 crore by the end of 2021. The market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 25% till 2025 to reach a size of Rs 2,200 crore and the hashtag trend is expected to continue as influencers see it as a vital tool for gaining attention from wider audiences and growing popularity.

Venus Dhuria, Co-founder, AppyHigh, said, “With apps like InStore, influencers can post content faster with higher relevance, thus reducing the effort required in publishing posts and improving turnaround time, enabling them to automate their publishing efforts quicker. In addition to hashtag and caption generation, InStore’s other offerings such as image touch-up capabilities including photo grids, collages, and photo-resizing features, are also extremely popular among our users. There are almost 1 million users using hashtag and caption generation, collages and photogrids on InStore. They are also actively bookmarking content that they like, potentially for future inspiration while creating their own.”

With easy access to smartphones with high-quality cameras, influencers/creators effortlessly create engaging content such as stories, memes, videos, reels, and photo essays. Creating engaging content is only the first step to ensuring that their content’s discoverability reach is maximized. Creators heavily rely on hashtags and they use various apps to generate cool hashtags depending on content themes or human emotions.

Aneesh Rayancha, Co-founder, AppyHigh, said, “Four years ago, no one would have imagined being an influencer as a full-time profession. Influencer marketing and social media content creation as a profession are on the rise, as many brands are turning to influencers for content creation instead of production agencies. Influencers are also going one step ahead by monitoring, analyzing, and course-correcting their approach to deliver the best value to their audiences by using follower analytics tools on InStore. InStore now has almost 15 million monthly active users, which is almost 2x vs last year.”

Ice Bear Society: An NFT Project for a Cause

0

Over the past few years, NFTs (non-fungible tokens) have emerged as one of the most intriguing technologies globally. Not only has there been an enormous growth in terms of sales as transactions related to NFT sales reached some $25 billion (roughly Rs 1,84,690 crore) in 2021 as the crypto asset exploded in popularity, as per data from market tracker DappRadar, but there has also been a massive uptick in terms of celebs and artists joining this space. Till now, NFTs have largely been leveraged to make fortunes but six tech-savvy and creative engineering students from Mahindra University, Hyderabad which is one of India’s fastest growing multidisciplinary educational institutions, recently launched the Ice Bear Society.

Ice Bear Society is a rare social-driven NFT initiative targeted towards raising awareness around the ongoing global warming and how the resulting climatic change has emerged as an enormous threat to polar bears within the Arctic. This philanthropic NFT project is the brainchild of Rahul Arepaka, Rohit Gunnelly, Geha Reddy, Abhinav Challa, Satvik Kondra and Aaryan Sharma. While Abhinav and Aaryan are 3rd-year students from the CSE branch, the remaining four members of their core team are 2nd-year students from CSE, Mechanical and AI branches.

Inspiration

As per Rahul Arepaka, a student of Mahindra University and co-founder of Ice Bear Society NFT platform, “One of the greatest inspirations behind this project is to build up the Indian NFT space during Bear Season. The polar bear is a suitable choice because of its uniqueness and extinct nature. In line with the core ethos of this project, this entire NFT project is based on Fantom Blockchain, which is one of the world’s most scalable, decentralised, and secure blockchain ecosystems. The NFT technology is capable of bringing enormous changes across the globe and we all believe that there’s a higher cause to this technology. Our future vision for the Ice Bear Society is to collaborate with more Indian brands and rope in artists, fashion designers, eminent personalities etc to further spread the word about climate conservation and how critical it is for our planet and all the axillary species which reside over here.”

Ice Bear Community

The collection went live on 5th April 2022. Since going live, the project has assembled a robust community by attracting NFT enthusiasts across the globe. They have built a community of 1700+ members and 10k+ followers on the social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram. Apart from this, Ice Bear Society has partnered with Hoodoi.com, Umbria Network – Defi, and NFT Garage and is also listed on NFTKey – Marketplace, TOFUNFT, and Paintswap Marketplace as well as celebrities across the globe. To further broaden the scope of the Ice Bear Society, they have also collaborated with renowned Telugu film director Tharun Bhascker, celebrity Indian stylist Neeraja Kona, celebrity numerologist Sheelaa M Bajaj, and model Liudmyla Tkachenko.

The Collection

The collection features 3333 unique 3D rendered artwork generated by an algorithm based on Ice Bears, with each NFT having its own metadata which includes the unique number along with rarity and attributes of the clothing of the ice bear NFT. The Ice Bear NFT is available in various collections such as classic, founders, and limited edition. The base price for each of these NFTs will be 33 FTM. 33% of the revenue that’ll be generated during the auction will be directed towards the welfare and safeguarding of polar bears from extinction.

Scenario of NFTs in India

“India’s NFT craze is gaining traction, similar to the cryptocurrency excitement, but Indians aren’t buying NFTs as quickly as other regions of the world. However, the awareness around NFTs is quite high and eventually the term NFTs have turned into talk of the town. As per a recent report from Twitter, conversations on NFTs increased by 3,000 per cent within a period of one year, from January 2021 to January 2022,” said Rahul Arepaka.

Going forward, the students wish to turn Ice Bear Society into a completely Decentralized Autonomous Organization in future, as it’ll eliminate human error or manipulation of investor funds by placing decision-making power into the hands of their discord community members to control / vote where the community wallet to invest money into and where will the donation go to.
