One Plus 10T to launch soon: Here's a detailed spec sheet, price, and other details surfaced so far

OnePlus has been expanding its devices portfolio with regular new releases, and it looks that the brand still has “one more item” to offer this year. According to many rumours, OnePlus will introduce the OnePlus 10T following the March launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro in India. Generally, One Plus saves its T-smartphone series for the end of the year, but according to the leak, it will launch globally in July, including in India.

Since the timeline is talking about the One Plus 10 Pro, it is evident that the brand is planning to unveil three devices: the OnePlus 10 Pro, the OnePlus 10R, and the OnePlus 10T very soon.  But it seems that the upcoming 10T will likely be the awkward middle child with a slightly lower price tag rather than having all flagship features. We’ve already heard a lot about the upcoming smartphone, so let’s just look at its detailed specifications once!

OnePlus 10T launch soon:  Design and specifications (tipped)

Ahead of the official announcement, the OnePlus 10T’s design renders have already appeared online. The first thing is the same gas-stove rear camera module that we noticed on the OnePlus 10 Pro. The company may continue to introduce Hasselblad cameras on this version, similar to the 10 Pro models.

Coming to the upcoming 5G smartphone’s design, the rendering has already created a buzz in the market. Ahead of its official launch, the leaks suggest that the One Plus 10T will feature a similar gas-stove camera module at the back as the recently launched 10 Pro. It is also speculated that similar to the 10 Pro models, the business can continue to release Hasselblad cameras on this version as well.

OnePlus 10T launch soon:  Design and specifications (tipped)

Also, the OnePlus 10T resembles a lot of its other siblings with a few small differences here and there. It will be intriguing to see if the phone receives the recognisable slider button found on vintage OnePlus phones. In essence, it’s a clever method of switching between loud and silent audio settings. Although the phone may come in several colours, the graphic only displays a black colour option.

Talking about the display, we’ll likely see a good 6.7-inch AMOLED display paired with a 120Hz refresh rate. The selfie camera with a 32MP lens will also be housed in a punch-hole design at the front. Even though most Android devices only enable full-HD video recording, the front camera still requires an upgrade soon. Even the OnePlus 10 Pro comes with a 32-megapixel front camera that can only film in 1080p. Another report, however, indicates that the phone may come with the OnePlus 10R’s 16-megapixel front camera.

There is still considerable debate over the processor of this upcoming smartphone. The leaks have revealed the inclusion of the Dimensity 9000 SoC paired with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. Generally, OnePlus employs Qualcomm CPUs in its flagship models. However, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC leak seems strange given that the OnePlus 10T is said to be more reasonably priced. It will be interesting to see if the phone experiences any heating difficulties. These would be similar to those seen by earlier generations if it chooses the “Plus” processor.

In terms of charging technology, we’ll have to wait and see if the 10T will support wireless charging. Additionally, it will be interesting to see if the OnePlus 10R receives the OnePlus 10 Pro’s IP classification for water and dust resistance. According to rumours, the phone would have a larger 4,800mAh battery and come pre-equipped with 150W fast charging technology.

OnePlus 10T price

The OnePlus 10T 5G will go on sale in China for CNY 3,000 (INR 35,000) and CNY 4,000 (INR 47,000). The phone might be on sale in India for less than Rs 50,000.

The introductory price for the OnePlus 10R 5G is Rs 38,999. While, on the other hand, the pricing for the OnePlus 10 Pro is Rs 66,999.

Microsoft is ending support for Windows 8.1 in January 2023

Windows 8.1 is one of the popular versions of the operating system from Microsoft Corp. It provides the perfect balance between the older and the signature Windows interface along with the tiled UI Microsoft interface. The operating system offered a very stable and consistent experience after the mess that was Windows 8. However, with the latest Windows 10 and Windows 11, the end of 8.1 is near. Microsoft has announced that it will be ending technical support for Windows 8.1 in January 2023, about 7 months from now. Similarly, the brand-ended support for Windows 8 back in January 2016.

Microsoft is ending support for Windows 8.1 in January 2023

After January 10, 2023, Windows 8.1 users will no longer get any new security updates. So, this also signifies that the users would have to upgrade to the latest Windows version to continue using the operating system. One other important thing to note is that the system will be at work till January 10 2023. So the users can save or download all your important data before that. Because no updates for your 8.1 system, would make it more vulnerable to virus attacks via the web or local wired and wireless connections. Additionally, other office applications like Microsoft 365 will also drop support for PCs running on Windows 365 after January 10.

This upcoming Oppo Flagship could feature 240W charging support

To give head-on competition to the Apple devices, the Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has a different plan with an advanced level. Reportedly, Oppo is preparing its upcoming 240W charging technology for its upcoming smartphones. Some other specifications on the smartphone also include a 4500mAh battery and are expected to get full power in just 9 minutes.

This upcoming Oppo Flagship could feature 240W charging support

Reportedly, it doesn’t mention the brand’s name specifically, but it does talk about a Chinese OEM brand lining up for the said feature. However, since the company has already demoed the technology earlier this year, it is assumed that Oppo is the brand in question here. Oppo already has come up with its Find X series in the market with a raised-up envelope with its great performance. Fast charging has become a necessity for users these days as this eliminates the waiting time of sitting beside your phone until it gains power. This is also a very generic feature that you can also find in the mid-range segment, up to Rs 30,000.

Twitter to introduce Notes, check details about the new feature

Twitter
Twitter

There is good news for those who want to write long posts on Twitter but are unable to do due to the 280-word character limit. The latest development has come after the micro-blogging site introduced Circle and closed captions for iOS and Android apps.

Twitter has announced to introduce a new feature called Notes. According to the latest update, Twitter is testing the new feature to allow users to share essay-style write-ups as a link.

The latest feature is getting tested after Twitter noticed that users share images of longer write-ups and announcements on their Twitter handle.

The upcoming feature is in testing mode among a select group of writers in Canada, Ghana, UK, and the US. The testing will continue for two months.

With the availability of the new feature Notes, Twitter users will be able to see a prominent headline, which they can click on to access the full copy. This will allow users to keep people on the platform longer, instead of steering them away for longer announcements and messages.

In addition to the text, users will also be able to embed photos, gifs, and other media content directly into the note itself. They can even edit Notes, even after they have been published.

The micro-blogging site also confirmed that Revue, the newsletter company bought by Twitter last year, would be part of the Twitter Write and the Notes feature.

The introduction of the Notes is important as many leaders and writers use Twitter daily to share their expertise and advice on topics their audiences care about. Notes will let them do that more efficiently and organize their content better, as they will have a dedicated place for their followers to find it.

What is closed captions?

Earlier, Twitter announced rolling out a button to toggle captions for its video player on its iOS and Android applications. Initially, the feature was available for to a limited number of iOS users.

Also, Read Here: Twitter Circle goes available to more users: All you need to know about it

The Closed captions button will be visible on the top-right corner of the video if it has captions available. It will let users choose whether they want to see captions for the video or not quickly.

Until now, closed captions showed up on Twitter videos on your mobile phone depending on many factors including whether you have turned it on in your phone’s accessibility settings and whether you are watching a video with your sound off. While that is still the case, you can now easily turn captions on and off when you want, similar to how the implementation works on the Twitter website.

Shopping made easy with this new WhatsApp update: Check details

WhatsApp has been testing a variety and number of latest updates to improve the user experience to the best. It is constantly bringing more diverse ways in which users can communicate with each other more creatively and interactively. It’s not too long since the platform introduced new privacy features for both profile pictures and story status. Now, in addition

In addition to this, the company has also made it easier for users to shop on its platform. WhatsApp has introduced WhatsApp Pay coupled with the latest features for the Business accounts to help the small and medium businesses. Using the platform they can easily reach the target audience with more engagements and interactions with their customers. At the same time, the company has made it easier for users to shop online. Now, word is that the messaging app is working on a new feature that will further enhance the shopping experience on WhatsApp.

Create Order

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new feature called ‘Create Order’ within WhatsApp chats that will enable businesses to create new orders for their customers quickly. A screenshot of the feature in development shared by the blog shows that after tapping the Orders shortcut, a new section called Create order shows up that lets users add some items to the order. In addition to that, users can also add their quantity. Once users have added all the items and their quantity, it will automatically calculate the total amount that shoppers owe to the business. “When the order is ready, it will automatically be shared in the chat where the order has been created from,” the blog site says.

This feature will be particularly helpful for small businesses, such as local Kirana stores, near residential areas or for businesses that mostly operate online.

Create Order

In the larger scheme of things, features like these will turn WhatsApp into a shopping destination, especially for groceries, food and other household items by connecting businesses with shoppers and giving them a common and easy-to-use platform for the purpose.

It is worth noting that at the moment, this feature is available to the beta users of WhatsApp Business’ Desktop app. However, the company is also planning to make this feature available on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS.

What else?

Apart from the above-mentioned feature, WhatsApp is also working on introducing a new tab in the ‘Advertise on Facebook’ section that lets users of WhatsApp’s Business app track their ads on Facebook. As of now, businesses can only check a list of their ads configured for the “Click to WhatsApp” action. They also need to open Facebook to track them in detail. However, a future version of this feature will let businesses get the same information right within this section without opening Facebook. This feature is in development and there is no word on when it will be released within the app.

Sennheiser CX True Wireless Earphone Review – A talented pair of earbuds

0
Sennheiser CX True Wireless Review Earbuds Review: There's a lot to love here!

The Sennheiser CX True Wireless in-ear headphones attempt to deliver great sound quality and incorporate the company’s TrueResponse drivers, which, at least according to the datasheet, bear resemblance to those used in the Momentum True Wireless 2. The earbuds lack ANC and incorporate purely passive noise cancellation instead. Sennheiser’s Transparent Hearing functionality is also not supported.  At the time of writing, the MSRP in Germany is 129 Euro ($129 in the US), although the price occasionally dips down into double-digit territory.

Case and ergonomics – the CX True Wireless features splash resistance

Both the charging case and the headphones are made out of matte black plastic, but the perceived quality is quite high nonetheless. The earbuds are held in place with magnets when resting inside their case and although they rattle slightly when shaken, they charge reliably. The lid’s magnetic closure isn’t particularly strong but still does its job. The charging contacts on the earphones themselves are recessed deeply enough to avoid contact with the skin.

In order to insert the earbuds into the ear canal, we had to use a slight twisting motion. Once inserted, they remained locked in place during vigorous physical activity and even headbanging. To ensure an optimal fit, Sennheiser includes four different sizes of silicone ear tips. If needed, replacement tips can be ordered cheaply directly from Sennheiser. The CX True Wireless is IPX4 certified and should be able to withstand splashing water and rain.

In addition to the headphones and the aforementioned silicon ear adapters, the box also includes a short USB cable (Type-A to Type-C; 28 cm / 11 in).

Features and Operation – Sennheiser CX True Wireless with aptX support

With the CX True Wireless, Sennheiser is emphasizing sound quality above everything else and consequently, the earphones lack features like Transparent Hearing, Active Noise Cancellation, or wireless charging. The CX True Wireless supports the SBC, AAC, and aptX codecs, which is good news for those interested in high-resolution audio streaming. The headphones offer up to 9 hours of playback time, a claim we were able to substantiate during our testing as well.

Sennheiser CX True Wireless Review
Sennheiser CX True Wireless Review

Setup is simple and involves pairing the headphones with the respective smartphone, tablet or computer. Sennheiser’s Smart Control App, which is available for Android and iOS/iPadOS, allows for a more granular configuration of the earbuds. You can control the earbuds via small touch panels, which are configurable in the Smart Control App according to your preferences. Using the app, the user can also tweak the integrated Equalizer and update the firmware.

Sound – TWS headphones with impressive sound

According to the datasheet, the Sennheiser CX True Wireless is equipped with comparatively compact 7 mm drivers, which provide an identical frequency response (5-21,000 Hz) as the transducers used in the Momentum True Wireless 2. To put it into context: the drivers of the Galaxy Buds2 are about 50 per cent larger and measure 11 mm.

Size is obviously not everything and from an acoustic standpoint, the CX True Wireless play in a different league than the aforementioned Galaxy Buds2. The headphones are surprisingly powerful even down in the bass register and the overall sound is both balanced and accurate. What is missing is the last bit of airiness in the treble response – the Momentum 2 is better in that regard – but the CX True Wireless still sets the standard for the price range. Users desiring even more bass can dial in Bass Boost, which improves the lows, but muddles the mids and highs somewhat in our opinion. Of course, it all comes down to personal taste.

Sennheiser CX True Wireless

As impressive as the sound quality is, the performance of the microphones is a very different story. Even in quiet rooms, the CX True Wireless disappoints sorely when it comes to telephony or video conferencing. Our own voice comes across as weak and somewhat choppy, with plenty of sound artifacts. Add some background noise to the mix and a conversation is next to impossible. When we found ourselves at a busy intersection, our conversation partner on the other end of the line didn’t hear much aside from a cacophony of noise and clacking sounds.

Verdict – Great headphones, but subpar microphones

The CX True Wireless in-ear headphones are designed to deliver great sound quality and as far as that goal is concerned, they do set a new standard within their price bracket. Potential buyers interested in headset functionality need to look elsewhere, however. The integrated microphones are lackluster at best even in very quiet environments.

When it comes to the battery life, the True Wireless headphones from Wedemark once again impress with run times of 9 hours per charge, even when using the high-resolution aptX codec. What’s missing are goodies like Transparent Hearing, ANC, and automatic ear detection – all features the Sennheiser CX Plus version offers.

From a sound quality perspective, the Sennheiser CX True Wireless doesn’t really have a direct competitor. Should telephony be on the agenda, however, Huawei’s FreeBuds Pro might be an alternative
