Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro TWS earphones with multi-mode, noise cancellation technology launched in India

0

Anker-owned premium audio brand Soundcore has introduced the next-generation TWS in its popular Liberty true-wireless earbuds line up, the Liberty Air 2 Pro, featuring advanced active noise-cancellation (ANC), transparency and PureNote driver technology. Priced at Rs 9,999 along with 18 months warranty, the product will be available on Flipkart and very soon in top retail chains in India.

The Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro is designed to sound great, even with noise-canceling turned on. To do this, Soundcore engineers have developed PureNote driver technology, that utilizes 10 hardened nano layers to make up the 11mm driver in each earbud, offering accurate sound and clarity at all frequencies. The unique PureNote Driver Technology gets 45% boost to bass, and a 30% wider frequency bandwidth than ordinary drivers. Soundcore then worked to tune the earbuds, both with ANC turned on and off, to make sure that music always sounded like artists originally intended.

The Liberty Air 2 Pro with its multi-mode ANC for day to day life,  offers users the ability to change between three noise cancellation modes, including Transport mode, when needed to block out low frequency noises from airplanes, trains or city buses; Outdoor mode, which use a less powerful ANC setting but wider bandwidth to block out street noise, and finally Indoor mode, which primarily reduces mid-range frequencies to help block out voices that are commonly found in an office or at a café.

Additionally, the Liberty Air 2 Pro also features Transparency mode with two different settings. Mode 1 is for total transparency which helps enhance all ambient sounds. This is ideal for runners and bicyclists that need to safely hear noises around them on a city street. The second transparency mode focuses on vocals to enhance voices in the immediate vicinity while simultaneously reducing background noise. This mode is ideal for users who may be waiting for a flight or a bus but still need to hear announcements from a P.A. speaker or flight attendant.

Using the updated Soundcore app, the Liberty Air 2 Pro, offers users HearID 2.0, the next generation in audio frequency customization. After performing a simple hearing test with the earbuds, the Liberty Air 2 Pro tunes the sound for the individual to ensure the best possible listening experience.

Gopal Jeyaraj – Country Head, Anker Innovation, said, “Nearly an Indian spends 19.1 hours per week listening to music. And an approx. 90%+ of them are streaming music on their handheld devices. Keeping this in mind, our Soundcore engineers have come up with Liberty Air 2 Pro to make listening comfortable to the ears. Liberty Air 2 Pro is one of the India’s first hybrid noise cancellation earphones which will enhance the joy of listening to music evenmore.”

The earbuds are stemmed l-shaped and feature in-canal design, that promises to offer the right and comfortable fit for longer hours of use. Ensuring the right fit, a Tip Fit test is also mapped on the Soundcore app.

The Liberty Air 2 Pro supports Anker’s fast Charging technology – 10 minutes charging earbuds = 2 hours of playtime. The TWS boasts an exceptionally long battery life of up to 26 hours without ANC and, 21 hour with ANC. Liberty Air 2 Pro comes with Voice-assistant compatibility – Siri at launch, and other popular voice-assistants in the future.

The Liberty Air 2 Pro is available in four colours, including Onyx Black, Titanium White, Sapphire Blue and Crystal Pink. Endorsed by 10 Grammy-winning artists, the TWS earbuds is the complete all-rounder that bridges the gap between budget friendly options and tech features.

Case filed against TikTok for illegally collecting kids data: Report

0

A former children’s commissioner for England, Anne Longfield, has lodged a claim in the high court on behalf of millions of children in the UK and the European Economic Area who have used TikTok since 25 March 2018.

According to some media reports, Longfield alleges the app is breaching UK and EU children’s data protection law and aims to stop it processing the information of millions of children, make it delete all such existing data and pay compensation she believes could run into billions of pounds.

Despite a minimum age requirement of 13, the UK’s communications regulator Ofcom found last year that 42 per cent of eight to 12-year-olds in the UK used TikTok the report said.

As with other social media companies such as Facebook, there have long been concerns about data collection and the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office is investigating TikTok’s handling of children’s personal information, it added.

The legal claim alleges that TikTok takes children’s personal information without sufficient warning, transparency or the necessary consent required by law and without parents and children knowing what is being done with their private information.

Lingfield believes more than 3.5 million children in the UK alone could have been affected.

As per the report, the operators of the REvil ransomware are demanding that Apple pay a ransom demand to avoid having confidential information leaked on the Dark Web.

The cybercriminals timed the attack to coincide with Apple’s “Spring Loaded” event. Files leaked on the Dark Web show “schematics for Macbook laptops”.

The hackers claimed that they have Apple product data after breaching Quanta Computer, a Taiwanese company that is the biggest laptop manufacturer in the world.

“In a message posted on a dark web portal, the REvil gang said that Quanta refused to pay to get its stolen data back and, as a result, the REvil operators have now decided to go after the company’s primary customer instead,” the report said.

According to report, Quanta refused to pay the $50 million ransom for the data.

The company on this has said that it was looking into the incident and had nothing to share at the moment.

The REvil operators said in the message that “Our team is negotiating the sale of large quantities of confidential drawings and gigabytes of personal data with several major brands. We recommend that Apple buy back the available data by May 1.”

Known customers of Quanta Computer include some of the biggest laptop vendors in the world, such as HP, Dell, Microsoft, Toshiba, LG, Lenovo, and many others, according to the report.

Files leaked today show schematics for Macbook laptops, none of which are particularly sensitive nor appear to include anything beyond assembly information and technical details. One of the file was dated March 9, 2021, but is unclear if the depicted product was new or just updated technical specs.
