The upcoming mid-range smartphone from OnePlus dubbed the OnePlus Nord 3 5G, has passed several certifications and its specifications have been leaked. The device has also appeared on NBTC and TDRA certifications, indicating that its global release is imminent.

The NBTC website has featured the phone under the model number CPH2493, revealing both its official name and model number. The phone has also passed the TDRA certification. However, the NBTC listing only discloses the phone’s model number and moniker, and no other details have been disclosed.

According to reports, the OnePlus Nord 3 is expected to launch in India by the end of June or July 2023. The device is rumored to come equipped with a 6.72-inch AMOLED display featuring a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The display is flat and includes a hole-punch cutout located at the top center. The device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and come with options of 8GB/16GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

On the rear, the Nord 3 is expected to feature a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the phone will come equipped with a 16MP camera. The device is also expected to house a 5000mAh battery and may include an alert slider.

Previously, the IMDA certification had revealed the upcoming Nord 3 smartphone would bear the model number CPH2493. The IMDA certification revealed that the device would support 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. The device has been listed in TUV certification, China Quality Certification Center (CQC) certification, and Indian BIS certification with the same model number.

The CQC certification also reveals that the smartphone would support 80W fast charging tech. The listing in BIS indicates that the smartphone launch is nearing in India.

Earlier, industry sources had exclusively revealed the launch timeline and specifications of the forthcoming device.

OnePlus Nord 3 is said to launch by the end of June or July 2023 in India and other global markets.

A tipster had revealed that OnePlus would rebrand the OnePlus Ace 2V smartphone as Nord 3 for global markets. The smartphone would equip a 6.72 inches AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution.

The listings, unfortunately, do not reveal any specs of the phones. However industry sources revealed the 5K design renders of the Reno 10 Pro 5G. The middle-child in the Reno 10 series has a pill-shaped camera module on the back for the triple-camera setup and the LED flash. It has a curved 6.7-inch display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre.

The Reno 10 Pro+ 5G has the same design as the Pro model. It is likely to feature a 6.74-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support.

The phone packs a 5000mAh battery under the hood. It also offers support for 44W fast charging out of the box. In addition, the Y78 5G features a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-band Wi-Fi support, etc.

On the back, there is a dual-camera setup. The phone features a 50MP primary camera sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. There is also a 2MP bokeh sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the Y78 5G has an 8MP front camera.

The handset features a 6.64-inch IPS LCD with a 19.9:9 aspect ratio and a Full HD+ resolution of 2388×1080 pixels. It has a pixel density of 394PPI and a 91.06 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Y78 5G runs Android 13 out of the box and has a layer of Origin OS 3 on top. If launched globally, the phone will likely feature Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android.

Unfortunately, there is no word from Vivo about the global launch of the Y78 5G at the time of writing this.
