Ahead of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023, where we can expect the launch of iOS 17, a new report indicates that there will be “major” changes to the iPhone’s Control Center in iOS 17.
The news comes from a forum member of MacRumors, who earlier predicted the Dynamic Island.
In addition, a new Mac Pro and Apple’s first Mixed-Reality Headset are anticipated to be unveiled at the event, which will take place between June 5th to June 9th.
iOS 17 will be announced at WWDC 2023. Apple has confirmed that it will host the annual developer conference in June 2023. WWDC 23will be hosted from June 5 to June 9. During the developer event, Apple will announce iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10, etc.
The company will make the beta version of the softwares available to developers. The general user, on the other hand, will get the update later this year. A lot about iOS 17 has started to leak as we approach the unveiling event.
Apple is said to introduce some requested features in its upcoming iOS update. Now, a new report claims that the Control Centre might get some update.
Let’s take a look at the iOS 17 update’s rumoured features known so far.
Here are the details.
iOS 17 may revamp iPhone’s Control Center
iOS 17 will focus on making things run better and be more stable, indicating that a redesigned Control Center could be one of the more noticeable changes, citing a source, the report said.
The source didn’t mention much about the changes that were going to be made to Control.
The current Control Center menu makes it easy for iPhone users to control Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, screen brightness, and volume, among other functions.
It can be launched on the iPhone Xand later by swiping down from the top right corner of the display.
iOS 17 update: New Features Expected
Even if iOS 17 doesn’t have a major change like last year’s redesigned lock screen, it is likely to have a few “nice to have” features. The software, called “Dawn,” is meant to do some of the “most often asked for functions” of users.
Reports say that the next update could include a new version of Apple CarPlay, changes to Siri, support for sideloading and other app stores, compatibility with Apple’s mixed-reality headset, and other changes and new features.
iOS 17 earlier was expected to be much of a bug fixer, but its scope has been massively improved, as per rumours.
iOS 17 Might Bring Biggest Update to Control Centre Till Date
The upcoming iOS 17update will be announced at WWDC 2023. Ahead of the unveiling, a new report has revealed some key details about the update. A MacRumors report, citing an anonymous forum member, stated that Control Centre will get some “major” changes with the upcoming iOS update.
The source of the leak is the same person who leaked details about the Dynamic Island in iPhone 14 Pro before the device was launched last year.
The tipster added that the upcoming iOS update will focus on performance and stability improvements.
They did not reveal what changes are coming to the Control Centre but suggested that it would be one of the more prominent changes coming with the update.
Control Centre was introduced back in 2013 with iOS 7. It received some minor updates in iOS 11 but since then, the feature has largely remained the same.
Control Centre in iOS provides access to controls for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, display brightness, volume, music playback, Focus mode, etc. with a swipe down from the top right for iPhones with a notch.
iPhones with a Home button can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access Control Centre.
As mentioned above, it is unknown what changes are coming to Control Centre. We will share more details about the same if and when available.
A recent report stated that iOS 17 will come with several user- requested features. While the details about the same, again, are not known, the source of the leak claimed that Apple will introduce some “nice to have” iOS features. Apple was said to focus more on stability and efficiency.
However, during the course of the update development, the company switched gears and decided to also introduce some new features.
Several iPhone models will get the new iOS update later this year. The iPhone 15 series, which will launch in September 2023, will boot iOS 17 out of the box.
The iPhone 14 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 12 Pro series, etc. will also get the new update. Select old models, such as the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X are tipped to not get upcoming iOS update.
Apple will announce the list of iPhones eligible for the new iOS update at WWDC 23.
Faqs on iOS 17 Rumored to Feature ‘Major’ Changes to iPhone’s Control Center
1) iOS 17 to get a redesigned Control Center? Details
Ans) Control Center was first introduced with iOS 7, and it lets users quickly access Wi-Fi, cellular, and Bluetooth settings, as well as media controls and shortcuts to some native apps.
According to an anonymous leaker in the MacRumors Forums, the Control Center will be completely redesigned in iOS 17.
There are no details about what exactly will change with the new Control Center, but presumably, Apple will let users further customize it.
Currently, users can only rearrange some of the Control Center items and add more shortcuts from a preset list of options.
If true, this will be the first time Apple has redesigned Control Center since iOS 11 in 2017, when the company made it a full-screen menu in preparation for the iPhone X that year.
The report comes from the same leaker who shared precise details about the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro weeks before the official announcement of the new iPhones.
At first, Bloomberg had reported that iOS 17 would be a minor update focused on improving the overall stability of the system. However, journalist Mark Gurman said last month that Apple changed its strategy and asked engineers to add features much requested by iPhone and iPad users.
Also according to rumors, Apple may drop support for iPhone 8, iPhone X, and the first-generation iPad Pro with iOS 17 and iPadOS 17.
Apple will officially announce iOS 17 at WWDC 2023, as well as other major OS versions, like watchOS 10, tvOS 17, and macOS 14.
We also expect that WWDC will be the event where Apple unveils the long-awaited headset project. WWDC 2023 will take place June 5-9, with a special opening event in Apple Park.
2) What does the control centre of the iPhone suggest ?
Ans) The menu provides iPhone users with convenient access to controls for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, display brightness, volume, and many other system functions. On the iPhone X and newer, Control Center can be opened by swiping down from the top-right corner of the screen.
Introduced with iOS 7, Control Center turns 10 this year. On a speculative basis, Apple could make Control Center more customizable and revamp the menu’s design after six years of minimal changes, but exact changes if any remain to be seen.
While the forum member has a proven track record, this rumor has yet to be corroborated by other sources, and Apple’s plans are subject to change.

* OPPO 300W fast charging solution is tipped to be in the works. * This will match Redmi’s 300W charging tech that was announced in February. * The OPPO 300W solution is expected to break covers before the end of this year. * OPPO’s whopping 300W fast charging solution appears to be on its way.
Redmi 300Wultra-fast charging tech was amnounced back in February. Although the new charging solution is yet to be available on a commercial device, the tech surpassed Realme’s 240W charging solution.
OPPO seems to be working on a new solution that will match the 300W charging rate, according to noted tipster DigitalChatStation.
The new solution is said to be in development at the moment but will be paired with a 4,450mAh battery (4,600mAh battery typical).
We can probably expect the solution to break covers before the end of this year.
Over the past few years, there has been a rapid development of mobile phone charging tech. A few years ago, we only had 27W fast charging max.
However, by 2020, the charging power of mobile phones jumped to 65W. As of 2021, we already have 125W fast charging which slowly increased to 200W – 210W. Now, the industry is trying to take a huge leap to 300W super fast charging.
Redmi unveiled a modifiedRedmi Note 12 Pro+ a month ago. This device is able to handle a 300W fairy second charge and could be fully charged in only 5 minutes.
According to recent reports, a mass-produced model could be launched in the second part of the year. However, Redmi is not alone in the development of fast-charging tech.
OPPO 300W Charging Tech
Redmi in its announcement claimed that its 300W charging solution took 2 minutes and 11 seconds to reach 50 percent and under 5 minutes to charge fully. The battery capacity the brand used for the test was a 4,100mAh unit.
We can probably speculate the same turnaround time for the OPPO as well but then again this is largely dependent on the battery capacity as well.
Unlike Redmi’s 300W charging solution that could only touch 290W (not the claimed 300W) only once and that too for about 3 seconds of time, we hope OPPO’s SuperVOOC solution retains the same speed at least till the battery reaches 80 percent.
We should know more details about the new SuperVOOC solution in the days to come. Fast charging solution is not just about the speed at which the phone charges but also how efficient it is in regulating heat and also how well it can manage the current.
The current highest fast-charging solution available in India is 180W, present on the Infinix Zero Ultra.
The Realme GT 3 currently is the fastest charging commercially available phone in the world at 240W, and is expected to come to India. We doubt the 300W solution will be available in India anytime soon.
FAQ’s on Oppo 300 W Fast Charging Tech
1) What Oppo 300W fast charging tech?
Ans) Another Chinese brand, Oppo, is also working on similar tech. There are reports that Oppo has also developed equivalent technologies and that the 300W level of rapid charging has no limits in terms of brand.
A new report from @DCS a popular Weibo tech blogger reveals that the Oga system has special 2220 / 2230 mAh 15C system high-rate batteries.
The equivalent capacity should be 4600 mAh and this should be ready for 300W-level rapid charging.
Nevertheless, using a high-rate battery alone will not enable 300W high-power rapid charging. The entire link, such as chargers, mobile phones or devices, and charging designs, needs optimization and improvement.
In order to further minimize volume, the 300W charging chip design must use the most recent GaN (gallium nitride) tech. Without this, it will be difficult to control the volume of the charging head and the mobile phone.
The 300W battery capacity is still smaller than the more known 100W fast charging + 5000 mAh battery, and the battery life will be somewhat lower.
But the charging time is way shorter, therefore there are trade-offs to be made.
2) What are the details of Oppo SuperVooc Charging ?
Ans) OPPO (or its parent corporation) is already responsible for some of the fastest charging smartphones on the market. Now, the OEM is tipped to go even further with the next generation of its SuperVOOC charging, slated to pack triple-figure wattage into a battery that could fit into a wide range of mobile devices.
Realme owes its place in the “Oga Group” (a catch-all term applied to a number of smartphone brands that started out as BBK Electronics subsidiaries) for the class-leading 240W charging found in its new international flagship smartphone the GT3 (or GT Neo5 for the Chinese market). This Group also contains OPPO, a company that debuted the high-speed SuperVOOC charging accessory line in the first place.
Now, the series is tipped to get even more extreme in its next iteration. According to the reliable leaker Digital Chat Station, OPPO (or possibly the Oga Group in general) is working on a new “15C” battery designed to match Xiaomi’s new top-end 300W charging rate.

* Motorola might soon launch its Motorola Razr 40 Ultra smartphone in the global market. * The device will likely launch as the Motorola Razr+ 2023 in some regions, including China and Canada. * Both devices have been spotted on several certification websites, which confirm their monikers and some key specifications.
Motorola is reportedly in the works to launch its Motorola Razr+ 2023 smartphone. The device will soon launch in China, as it has begun its certification journey in the country.
The device was recently spotted on the Chinese CQC certification website, which revealed its battery capacity and fast charging capacity and now, the same device has been spotted on the TDRA certification and the Canadian REL certification websites, leading to some interesting developments.
Let’s take a look.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Motorola Razr+ 2023 appear to be the same device with different names
As seen in the TDRA certification and the REL certification images above, both Motorola Razr+ 2023 and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra have the same model number (Motorola XT2321-3 and Motorola XT2321-1, so we can expect them to launch with different names in different regions.
This is nothing new, and has been a pretty common trend in the smartphone market for ages now.
Sadly enough, neither of the certification listings tells us anything about the specifications and features of the device(s) in question. That said, the CQC listing the Motorola Razr+ 2023 was spotted in the past (with the model number Motorola XT2321-2) confirmed that the device would feature 33W fast charging.
Plus, the device is said to feature a somewhat larger battery capacity compared to its predecessor, and will reportedly sport a 3,640mAh battery.
This is the first time that the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra moniker has popped up, and details surrounding its specifications are pretty scarce for now.
That said, the Motorola Razr+ 2023 is rumoured to launch sometime during Q2, 2023 in China, so we will automatically get to know pretty much everything about the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra anyway.
1) What is Expected and known specifications of smartphone Motorola Razr 40 ultra ?
Ans) According to the FCC certification, the upcoming Razr+ (2023) smartphone will support 33W fast charging and boast a dual-cell battery capacity of 3,640mAh.
The device will also offer connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5, and NFC.
Several reports have suggested that the Razr+ will be an enhanced version of last year’s Razr, with improvements in various areas.
The phone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch foldable P-OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.
The Razr+ (2023) will run on the My UX-based Android 13 operating system and include a side-facing fingerprint scanner. While other details about the device remain unknown at this time, it appears that the Razr+ will be a premium smartphone with advanced features and a focus on foldable technology.
2) What are details of Motorola Razr 40 Ultra on Chinese Certification Website?
Ans) Motorola Razr 40 Ultra on the TDRA certification website with the model number X2321-1.
This same model number has already appeared on the Chinese 3C certification website.
According to the FCC certification, there are three model numbers for the Motorola Razr 2023:
XT2321-1, XT2321-3, and XT2321-5, suggesting that Motorola is planning to launch smartphones with different names in the global market.
According to the tipster, model number XT2321-5 has been registered in Canada via REL certification with the name Motorola Razr+ 2023. The TDRA certification website now shows the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, indicating that Motorola plans to launch this smartphone under different names in different countries.
3) How is the display of Motorola Razr 2023?
Ans) The cover display of the device Motorola Razr 2023 occupies almost the whole top rear panel, which has a dual camera setup alongside an LED flash. The exact size of the cover display is unknown at the moment, but we can expect it to be around 3.26-inch, much like the one found on the OPPO Find N2 Flip.
Moving on to the main display, strangely, the Motorola Razr 2023 does not appear to have any sort of cutout for the selfie camera, which could either mean that the device might feature an under-display front camera or might skip it entirely.
The latter is also a plausible theory, considering the fact that the outer cover display could potentially be used as a viewfinder for taking selfies, that too via the device’s main camera. This could eliminate the need for a hole in the display, thereby ensuring a more immersive viewing experience.
4) How is the design of Motorola Razr 2023?
Ans) The Motorola Razr 2023 design renders have leaked ahead of the foldable phone’s official launch. The device will have a big cover display. The leaked renders of the upcoming Motorola foldable phone were uploaded by tipster Evan Blass.
The renders show that the cover display almost occupies the whole top rear panel shell. The foldable phone’s outer display will have three cutouts at the bottom right. These are for the dual-camera setup and an LED flash.
The exact size of the cover display is unknown. However, by the looks of it, the Razr 2023 might have a cover display bigger than the OPPO Find N2 Flip, which has a 3.26-inch outer screen.
On the inside, the phone does not have any cutout for the front camera, according to the leaked design renders shared by The Tech Outlook.
It could be possible that Motorola launches the phone with an under-screen front camera or none at all. And it might make sense as the cover display itself is large enough to be used as a viewfinder for clicking selfies.
This will also help get an immersive viewing experience when using the foldable screen. The bezels around the foldable display are fairly narrow.
The frame is also curved, which should help offer comfortable grip. At the moment, no specifications of the phone have leaked online.
5) What are the details Motorola Razr+ 2023 3C, EEC Certified ?
Ans) The Motorola Razr+ 2023 will take on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and OPPO Find N2 Flip when it is launched in China and other markets.
Ahead of the launch, the phone has been spotted on the 3C certification website. As per the listing, the phone has the model number XT-2321-2. The listing reveals that the Razr+ 2023 will offer support for 33W fast charging.
In addition to the 3C certification, the foldable phone from Motorola also visited the EEC certification website.
While the EEC listing does not confirm any details other than its model number, it does hint at an imminent launch of the phone.
The phone was recently spotted on the FCC certification website, which revealed that it will pack a dual-cell battery.
The device will have two cells in a combination of 2850mAh and 790mAh. This, in total, would be 3640mAh.
The Razr Plus 2023 will have a slightly bigger battery than the outgoing model, which came with a 3500mAh battery.
Some other details about the foldable phone have leaked in the past. The phone has a big cover display that covers almost the entire top half of the rear panel when unfolded.
The remaining half of the phone will have a magenta colour back panel. At the top of the cover screen are cutouts for the dual-camera setup with an LED flash.
In addition to this, the phone is said to sport a 6.7/ 6.8-inch foldable OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution.
The front camera will be located under the screen. Other details about the Razr Plus 2023 are unknown.
