Taiwanese electronics firm Asus has launched its latest portfolio of laptops that are powered by AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors across the entire range.

These include the new ZenBook 14, and a host of VivoBook models that include the VivoBook Go 14, Go 15, VivoBook 14, 15 and 16 with OLED displays, VivoBook 15X and VivoBook S14 Flip, and each model in the lineup is available in multiple variants.

The entire lineup ranges upward of Rs 42,990.

ASUS has launched a range of new laptops under its Zenbook and VivoBook series in India. The company has introduced its new ZenBook series laptops with AMD’s new Ryzen 7000 series chips for the Indian market.

One of the new laptops launched today in India is the ASUS ZenBook 14 OLED, which features the AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPU. The company has also expanded the VivoBook Go lineup in India with the launch of the VivoBook Go 14.

The laptop gets a 15-inch variant as well, and another one with an OLED display. There is also the VivoBook S 14 Flip, which is a 2-in-1 laptop with a 360-degree hinge.

Ahead of the launch, an FCC listing spotted by The Walkman Blog revealed that the earbuds will have a compact design compared to their predecessor model.

The earbuds are also more rounded, unlike the WF-1000XM4, which came with a flat underside.

The earbuds have a glossy black paint job but according to the report, it could be due to the pre-production unit visiting the FCC website.

The charging case is also slightly more rounded in shape compared to the XM4’s case.
There is also a two-pin charging connector instead of a three-pin one in the predecessor model. The charging case text suggests that the earbuds could be charged faster.

The XM5’s case has a 5V = 230mA specification compared to the XM4’s 5V = 140mA specification.

The charging case also continues to offer support for wireless charging, as seen in the teardown images.

The WF-1000XM5 will continue to support Qi wireless charging.

The teardown images also reveal the internals of the earbuds but the battery capacity remains unknown at the moment.

The report does not reveal any details about the driver size of the earbuds or any other specs.

However, we can expect the WF-1000XM5 to offer support for features such as Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

The model number 23046P50C is tipped to belong to the Xiaomi Pad 6. For those unaware, both model numbers belong to the Chinese variants of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and the Xiaomi Pad 6, owing to the character C at the end of the model numbers.

Therefore, it is not sure whether or when the devices will make their way outside of China.

Nothing Ear (2) is set to launch on March 22. The company has confirmed the launch date of its new premium truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds in India and other markets. The Ear (2) will be available for purchase via Flipkart in India.

Nothing will announce the price and specifications of the upcoming earbuds later this month.

While confirming the launch, Nothing claimed that its upcoming second-generation TWS earbuds will feature the company’s “iconic design with elite engineering and next-level personalisation for the ultimate sound experience.”

Now, founder Carl Pei has revealed some more details about the Ear (2).

Pei, in an interview with Forbes, revealed that the Nothing Ear (2) will feature IP54 rating for basic splash and sweat protection.

The TWS, however, will offer improved specifications and features, and the brand has now revealed a bunch of new specifications of the Nothing Ear (2).

Notably, the TWS will feature IP54 rating and support for LHDC Audio 5.0.

Regarding this, the company said: For effortless connection we increased the time spent testing Bluetooth functions for Ear (2).

If two abnormalities arose within a testing period of over 1000 hours, we deemed the function unstable and reworked for perfection.

Nothing posted a long Twitter thread, wherein the brand revealed some key specifications and features of the upcoming Nothing Ear (2).

The Nothing Ear (2) will feature an IP54 rating, which will protect them against dust particles and water splashes, thereby ensuring that the TWS can be used during workout sessions and more such scenarios.

Furthermore, the TWS will offer LHDC Audio 5.0 support, which is a codec that enables higher audio quality streaming over Bluetooth.

Carl Pei even mentioned that the brand had contacted Spotify to update their library to LHDC.

All this necessarily means that the Nothing Ear (2) will be able to play any certified Hi-Res audio seamlessly.

Nothing Ear (2) Design, Features (Expected)

The Nothing Ear (2), as mentioned earlier, will resemble the Nothing Ear (1) in ways more than one. That said, we can expect the new TWS to feature a more compact design.

The TWS will feature ANC, as per reports. There will also be a feature called “Transparency Mode”, which will let the outside noise in while the music is playing. The case and the earbuds will follow Nothing’s semi-transparent design language.

Lastly, the Nothing Ear (2) will likely be able to pair with Android and iOS devices, and users will be able to do further customizations via the Nothing X app.

The earbuds continue to sport silicone ear tips for added grip and passive noise cancellation.

The earbuds are also likely to retain some of the features from the Ear (1). These include support for Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Transparency Mode, etc.

The new Nothing earbuds are also said to get support for Advanced EQ with custom settings.
