The name ‘Shri Krishna’ stirs up a flurry of emotions inside every Indian especially Hindus although Indian Muslims and Christians too are extremely fond of him as one can find many people belonging to other religions that swear by his name.

Krishna was born on what many Indians celebrate today as the festival of Janmashtami, which falls on August 19 for the year 2022, which is the date as per the Gregorian calendar although Hindus follow the Hindu calendar to mark all the Hindu festival and celebrate it whenever it falls as per the Gregorian date.

Shri Krishna has billions of devotees all over the world that are no longer limited to Indians as he has countless temples in his name and likeness even in western nations of Europe and America aside from many in other parts of the globe.

Brief Up

Shri Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu, was born to Vasudev and Devaki in the prison cell of Mathura kingdom where they were imprisoned by the latter’s cruel brother Kansa, who had heard of a prophecy that he will be killed by Devaki’s eighth child.

Accordingly, Kansa leaped into action when his life was threatened and immediately had his sister and brother-in-law imprisoned. He killed their first seven children, one by one, the minute they were born.

So, Krishna lived under the shadow of death even before birth and had to be transported by his father via sea to Gokul where he was brought up by the cowherd Nanda and Yashoda, his foster parents, along with his older brother, Balarama, who was an incarnation of Shesha, the serpent on which Lord Vishnu reclined.

Right from his infancy and throughout his childhood, he faced many attempts on his life from his uncle Kansa, who sent many demons to kill him in order to prevent the prophecy from being fulfilled, but they were all slain by Krishna and Balarama.

It isn’t that Krishna and Balarama only lived in the fear of imminent death looming over their heads, waiting to pounce on them any moment as they defeated all their potential killers effortlessly and without a shred of fear.

Krishna is also seen as a mischievous prankster who would often steal pots of butter from the residents of Gokul even when they were kept high out of his reach, resulting in the women of every household constantly complaining to Yashoda about her son’s behavior.

There are many images depicting him as an infant with pots of butter with a large amount of it smeared all over his face. Krishna, like Rama and other deities, has distinct characteristics but is easily identifiable with a peacock feather on the tip of his crown.

As a last resort, Kansa invited the two brothers to Mathura on the pretext of watching a wrestling match but in reality, he wanted those wrestlers to kill the two kids, who were around 8 to 10 years old at the time.

Another interesting facet of Krishna is the countless names he is addressed with and it is said that it might be possible to count the dust in the world but it’s to keep count of the names and forms he has inhabited with a few well known ones being Kanha, Kanhaiya, Madhusudan, Janardhan, Ranchod, and many, many more.

Given the immense adoration he enjoys, it is only obvious that Shri Krishna too will have many TV serials and movies based on him with the most popular ones being B.R Chopra’s Mahabharat (1988) where he was played by Nitish Bhardwaj and Ramanand Sagar’s Shree Krishna (1993) where he was portrayed by Sarvadaman Banerjee.

These two actors have been immortalized Krishna like no other despite the deity being played countless number of times before and after them in countless number movies and TV shows.

For the millennial generation who have grown up in the era of social media platforms it is Saurabh Raj Jain who they know and love as Shri Krishna in Star Plus’s Mahabharat (2013), which was a massive success and dubbed in many Indian and foreign languages.

Actual brightness of Nothing Phone (1) is lower than what was advertised

Nothing Phone 1, the first smartphone from the UK company founded by Carl Pei, a former co-founder of OnePlus, was launched last month. Ever since the debut, it has faced many criticisms. It was bashed over the delayed deliveries. Sometimes people get upset because the box contains no charger. It was stated during the launch that the 6.55-inch full-HD+OLED display will have a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits. However, according to a recent report, the phone can only produce 700 nits at the moment.

Nothing has formally acknowledged the problem or responded to the growing number of complaints. According to the report, Nothing will soon release an update that will enable the wider brightness range. The display of the Nothing Phone 1 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, supports HDR10+, has a minimum brightness of 500 nits, and has a pixel density of 402 ppi.

According to a statement by Nothing, “The hardware is capable of reaching up to 1,200 nits peak brightness, but this is currently capped by the software to 700 nits. This decision was made to ensure a balanced user experience regarding heat and battery consumption. We look forward to hearing from our users about this and will monitor feedback closely to understand if this should be addressed in future software updates.”

However, if some software updates are made, it can still support peak brightness levels of 1200 nits. According to the report, Nothing has also asserted that upcoming updates will increase the maximum brightness to 1200 nits. There will be a few trade-offs, such as increased temperature and power consumption. It is also revealed that the phone (1) has a brightness range of 500-700 nits depending on ambient light, with 500-nit brightness being the standard setting.

The Nothing Phone 1 has a 120Hz refresh rate display, 50-megapixel dual cameras, a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage, among other features. As stated, the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC and up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM power it.A 4,500mAh battery inside the Nothing Phone 1 supports 33W wired charging, 15W Qi wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging.

Nothing also clarified various brightness levels to prevent confusion, which could be the root of all the complaints. The normal range of brightness levels for the Nothing Phone, according to Android Authority, is between 0-500 nits (1). In normal circumstances, the brightness of the display is turned up to those levels. Only when the phone is in auto-brightness mode and is facing a bright light source do the 500-700 brightness levels come on. Phone Data Breach

Signal has come up with the bad news that more than 1900 phone users’ data has been breached by phishing attackers. The news coming out is that their phone numbers have been revealed in a phishing attack on Twilio Inc., which is the verification service provider to Signal.

It is highly probable that the attackers may have gained access to the SMS verification code used to register with Signal, but the contact lists, profile info, and messaging history was not revealed, which the company revealed some time back.

Signal has claimed that attackers could have attempted to re-register the number to another device or found out that the number was registered to Signal. Luckily, the company is being working together with Twilio to sort out the matter through investigation, who should be given credited for discovering the attack.

China too has fallen prey to a phishing attack when an attacker claimed to have obtained personal info of around 50 million users of a Covid health mobile app, which is the second claim of a breach of a financial hub in China in a month.

Pixel Users get updates on Android 12 instead of Android 13

Let me give you an insight into the quality and display of the laptop:

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 laptop has a plastic body. The display lid’s logo is neatly positioned at the bottom right of the lid rather than in the middle. The fact that all edges and corners are rounded indicates fairly high quality. The build is similar to the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i (Intel version).
Given the name’s implied meaning, it is clear that Lenovo has made an effort to include a design that is both modern and slim. The laptop is successful in doing that for the most part. The Ideapad Slim 3 is characterised by design decisions that emphasise the fact that you’re purchasing a laptop for work/casual use. Although it performs reasonably well in games (more on that later), there are no game aspects present.
The laptop’s A-panel (lid) has dull grey colour with a brushed metal appearance (you can’t feel the texture, though).
The interior of the laptop can be seen when it is opened up, and it more or less has a Lenovo-like design. The matte colour of the U-shaped keyboard caps makes them look nice enough, but the trackpad appears to be a little smaller than the rest of the device. It’s neat that the Lenovo logo is located exactly where it is on the outside and inside. There are two outlet vents and a good connection between the bottom of the hinge and the laptop.
The laptop has a 160-degree display. Though you can’t open the laptop with one hand without tipping it over, it also has an indentation.
Bezels are almost 7.5mm thick and surround the 14-inch 1080 60Hz refresh-rate IPS non-touch display. The IPS panel gives it good viewing angles. In comparison to the VivoBook M513 (VA panel), Lenovo IdeaPad S145, and Dell 14 3493 (WVA panel), it has a better one. The IPS display also has a screen contrast ratio of 811:1 which is below average.
Sadly, the Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3 fails to check this essential box. The laptop has a 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) display with a 60Hz refresh rate, just to list some numbers. Although devices like the Asus Vivobook OLED have much better displays in the same price range, you regrettably get a TN panel for this price. Additionally, it has a peak brightness of only 250 nits, which is quite low.
The Ideapad Slim 3’s TN panel unquestionably has unbearably poor viewing angles. The entire experience of using this laptop can be ruined by even a 5-degree tilt of the screen.
For the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i laptop, the NTSC is 33%, AdobeRGB is 36%, and SRGB is 56%. Results for the screen’s colour gamut fall far short of what is necessary for professional photo and video editing. However, the display is adequate for office-level work, programming, bloggers, and other content creators.

Weight and dimension

This laptop has the following measurements: a width of 32.7 cm (12.87 inches), a depth of 24.1 cm (9.5 inches), and a height of 2 cm (0.8 inches). This laptop only weighs 1.6 kg (3.53 lbs), and when the charging accessories are added, the total weight is 1.85 kg (4.07 lbs). Compared to other laptops priced under Rs. 50,000, this one is heavier.

Performance of Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3

Radeon Graphics and an AMD Ryzen 5500U processor are both included in the Ideapad Slim 3. Additionally, you have a combination of 4+4GB DDR4 RAM running at 3200MHz. But keep in mind that one module is soldered, so there are fewer points for upgradeability in this case. The laptop’s display of the total RAM, which should be at least close to 7 GB, only shows 5.8 GB, which is a flaw (more on this below). You receive a 512 GB PCIe 3.0 SSD for storage. Given that the laptop does have a respectable collection of hardware parts, such as a Radeon chip, it may be possible for it to perform some light gaming.

The Ryzen 5500U inside the Ideapad Slim 3 held its own ground. The machine could easily handle multiple tasks using the browser and other apps. It had a lot of room to run because the overall utilisation was only about 15-20%.

However, this antivirus also has the annoying behaviour of continuously sending pop-up windows even though the laptop is in use. Additionally, you receive Lenovo’s own Vantage software, which serves as a central hub for managing your Lenovo device. There was no need to search online for the most recent drivers because Vantage has a built-in system updater.

With so many powerful brand of smartphones out in the market, it becomes difficult to choose any one of the lot as they’re all unique in their own way. Some people prefer a certain brand over others and yet some first try out a few smartphones and pick their brand of choice.

OnePlus smartphones too have rode high on popularity as its devices are quite popular amongst one and all while for some people it is a personality brand rather than just another brand that manufactures smartphones and other devices.

While not spoken in the same vein as Apple or Samsung, OnePlus has its own cult following that has helped it carve out a distinct niche for itself especially with Android aficionados and power users for which credit goes to its slick software.

The company also boasts of a ‘never settle’ motto that helped it should into the tech stratosphere where increase in demand meant increase in supply, which in turn led to increase in prices but the brand stood ground and different enough to keep its fans hooked.

The starting price of OnePlus 10T 5G is Rs.49,999 for the base variant with a storage capacity of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration but if you want more of that you can get an option with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration for Rs.54,999 and going further, you have 16GB RAM and 256GB storage at Rs.55,999.

Users are always excited to know more and more about any device that they intend to purchase which is why they are on a constant lookout for online reviews that will help them in this regard.

The million dollar question is this- Is OnePlus 10T 5G worth your money? Or is it like any other random smartphone with the usual features? Does it live up to the expectations of its users?

Although the usual OnePlus handsets come in a tall box, this design is quite standard and contains a strong and protective case, few stickers, a Red Cable club membership card, a letter from OnePlus, a large 160W charger, and finally, a red USB Typc-C cable.

The rear is made of glass but you don’t get the premium and regal feel upon holding it, which might be due to its heavy and bulky frame, which is 8.75mm thick and 203.5g. There are two colour options for this phone- Moonstone black and glossy Jade Green, which is this particular model.

10T 5G variants always support 150W charging while OnePlus has a list of measures for safety as there are many users that are concerned about it but as of now, you can brick to charge other devices as it is compatible with USB-PD up to 45W.

Once you begin the setup process, you will find privacy and personalization options but you have to first choose a system font then setup security and then practice navigation gestures.

There are apps like OnePlus Community, Netflix, and a game manager that are preloaded while the unit has OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12 but if you dig further into the settings you will find a some options for personalization.

OnePlus is quite confident that users can do without certain features, even at the available price, an official IP rating, wireless charging, eSIM support, and the Hasselblad camera branding.

Although these specifications are nothing much to write home about, the company guarantees rick detail even during low light all thanks to 10 bit colour capture support and processed algorithms that have considerably improved while video recording is up to 4K 60fps.

The most recently launched smartphone by the company is nearly indistinguishable from the Realme GT Neo 3 and does not fit the OnePlus mould by any stretch but there are many questions exploding with the launch of OnePlus 10T 5G on the same trajectory.

This will be interesting to look into on whether this device will be received in the same manner as its predecessors or will not go down well due to some issues as mentioned above.
