iQOO Z11 to Debut with Dimensity 7500 Turbo

iQOO has now confirmed that the iQOO Z11 will arrive with the Dimensity 7500 Turbo, making it the first phone in India to use the new processor.

MediaTek introduced the Dimensity 7500 chipset in May as a 4nm processor designed for smartphones. As of now, the China-exclusive Vivo S60 Vitality is the only smartphone powered by the standard Dimensity 7500.

The company has not revealed the complete details of the chipset but the Dimensity 7500 Turbo is expected to be a customised version of the standard Dimensity 7500 while retaining its core architecture. iQOO also claims that the new processor is capable of delivering an AnTuTu benchmark score of 1.2 million.

MediaTek says the processor offers better power efficiency, faster app performance, and improved AI features for tasks such as voice recognition, smart replies, and on-device language processing. On the connectivity front, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 3GPP Release 17 5G modem capable of download speeds of up to 5.2Gbps.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Could Launch on September 4, New Colours, FCC Certification and Horizontal Lock Camera Feature Leaked

0
Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Could Launch on September 4

Highlights

  • Samsung Galaxy S26 FE tipped to debut on September 4, 2026.
  • Firmware leak reveals Horizontal Lock video stabilisation coming to S26 FE, expanding Samsung’s Super Steady tech for smoother, level footage.
  • Expected specs include 6.7″ AMOLED 120Hz display, Exynos 2500, 4,900mAh battery, 45W charging, Wi-Fi 6 and satellite connectivity.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 FE has once again surfaced in leaks revealing its possible launch date, new colour options, camera software features and key hardware details. The smartphone has also cleared the FCC certification process in the US, which suggests its official debut could be just around the corner.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Launch Timeline Tipped

According to tipster FireUniverse @fireuniverse8 on X, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is expected to launch on September 4, 2026, which matches earlier reports that hinted at a September unveiling for the Fan Edition smartphone.

The tipster also shared the expected launch schedule for other upcoming Samsung devices. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ are said to debut on October 7, 2026. Meanwhile, the LTE variants of the Galaxy A08 and Galaxy A18 are tipped to launch sometime in October 2026. Their 5G versions are expected to arrive a few months later, likely in January and February 2027.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE – Horizontal Lock Camera Feature

The latest leaked firmware suggests that the Galaxy S26 FE could receive one of Samsung’s newest video recording features called Horizontal Lock.

A firmware discovered by SammyGuru includes a flag named

SUPPORT_SUPER_STEADY_HORIZONTAL_LOCK, which is set to “true.” This indicates that Samsung is actively testing the feature for the Galaxy S26 FE. Horizontal Lock first debuted on the Galaxy S26 series and was later introduced on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

The feature works together with Samsung’s existing Super Steady video stabilisation. It keeps video footage level even when the phone is tilted or rotated by using the device’s gyroscope and accelerometer to make real-time corrections. This helps users capture smoother and more stable videos without requiring a separate gimbal, making it useful for walking videos, action shots, and casual vlogging.

Since Horizontal Lock is a software-based feature rather than a hardware upgrade, Samsung appears to be expanding it across more Galaxy smartphones. Reports also suggest that older Galaxy S25 models could receive the feature later through the One UI 9 update, indicating Samsung’s plan to make it a standard camera tool across its lineup.

The same firmware also revealed an update banner prepared for One UI 9.5. While this does not confirm that the Galaxy S26 FE will launch with that software version, it shows Samsung has already started preparing assets for the future interface.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE – FCC Certification and New Colours Revealed

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE renders. (Image credit – Android Headlines)

The Galaxy S26 FE has also appeared in new high-resolution leaked renders showing three colour options including Black, Green, and Purple.

The design closely follows the standard Galaxy S26 as it features a single rear camera island that houses all three camera sensors, while the LED flash is placed beside the module. On the front, the smartphone sports a flat display with slim bezels, a centred punch-hole selfie camera, and a slightly thicker bottom bezel.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE clears FCC certification.

The handset has now cleared FCC certification in the US, which is generally one of the final regulatory approvals before a smartphone goes on sale.

Although the FCC documents do not reveal the main processor, they confirm that Samsung is using a Qualcomm Wi-Fi chip, marking a change from the all-Exynos setup used on the Galaxy S25 FE. Earlier Geekbench listings suggest that the smartphone itself will still be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset.

The certification also confirms support for 45W wired fast charging, wireless charging, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, and satellite connectivity. Reports further suggest that the Galaxy S26 FE could retain the 4,900mAh battery from its predecessor while featuring a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

With leaked renders, firmware discoveries, and FCC certification now in place, the Galaxy S26 FE appears to be in the final stages of testing. In Europe, the 128GB variant is tipped to carry a starting price of €799, which is around €50 higher than the previous-generation Galaxy S25 FE.

Thinking of getting the Vivo S2? Check out these four phones too!

0
Vivo S2

Highlights

  • Vivo has recently launched the Vivo S2 in the Indian market.
  • The Vivo S2 starts at Rs 39,999, and comes with a curved display and a sleek design.
  • Although the Vivo S2 represents quite a compelling option for those looking for a good phone, it faces a number of challengers in its price segment. We shortlist four of the best.

Vivo recently launched the Vivo S2 in India, bringing back its design-forward S series.

The phone, which has a very eye-catching design and mid-segment specs you can read our first impressions at vivo-s2-first-impressions-seven-things-to-note-about-vivos-stylish-new-phone, comes with a starting price of Rs. 39,999.

While it is an extremely attractive proposition, with its very Pixel-esque design, curvy sides and curved display, and decent mod-segment processor, it still faces a lot of competition in the crowded mid-segment of the Indian smartphone market.

If you are considering the Vivo S2 as your next device, we would advise you to check out these four phones before making up your mind:

Redmi Turbo 5: For those seeking more power

Rs 37,999 onwards

One of the biggest headaches for the Vivo S2 is the recently launched Redmi Turbo 5.

In best Redmi tradition, the phone not only comes with a highly competitive spec sheet but actually comes with a lower price tag – it comes with a starting price of Rs. 37,999.

For this price, you get a much more powerful Dimensity 8500 processor, with faster LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, as well as a bigger 7540 mAh battery with faster 100 W charging support.

While it is not as sleek as the Vivo S2, the lights around its camera unit will attract attention.

Mind you, the Vivo S2 has a bigger display and more megapixels on the front, but the spec-scale leans more towards the Redmi Turbo 5.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro: The camera captain

Rs 39,999 onwards

It is kind of rare to see a Motorola phone that outguns a similarly priced Vivo one in terms of cameras.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro, however, seems to do just that. The phone officially costs as much as the Vivo S2 (although it is available at lower prices at some outlets), and is not only powered the more powerful Mediatek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor, but also brings three 50 megapixel sensors on the back and another 50 megapixel one on the front to the camera battle.

The battery on the device is slightly smaller than the one of the Vivo S2 and it is rather plain looking, but comes with 90W fast charging support and also has IP68/ IP69 dust and water resistance.

Not a style icon like the Vivo S2, but megapixel lovers will love this.

OnePlus Nord CE6: Those who Never Settle and prefer Oxygen(OS)

Rs 34,999 onwards

Another phone that could be a potential headache for the Vivo S2 is the OnePlus Nord CE6.

Even though it has received a few price bumps recently, the Nord CE6 still comes with a much lower starting price of Rs. 34,999 which in itself is a big plus.

It also comes with a very elegant design, and runs on the very good Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Generation 4 processor.

It too has a 50 megapixel sensor on the back, a 32 megapixel one on the front, and comes with a tall display, which is almost as big as the Vivo S2 and has a higher 144 Hz refresh rate, although it is a flat one.

Also onboard is a much bigger 8000 mAh battery and faster 80W charging too.

And running on top of everything is OxygenOS, which has a fanbase of its own.

Nothing Phone 4(a): Nothing like anything

Nothing Phone 4(a): Nothing like anything

Rs 42,999 onwards

If you are in the market for a phone which turns heads, there is perhaps only one device in the Rs 40,000 segment that will not only turn heads more than the Vivo S2 but also keep eyes glued to it – the Nothing Phone 4(a).

It comes with the transparent-ish back with LED lights (called Glyph interface) that Nothing is famous for, as well as a very clean, uncluttered UI with retro feels.

Add to that a very good triple camera set up on the back (with two 50 megapixel cameras, including a periscope telephoto, which is rare), and a 32 megapixel selfie camera, and the Nothing Phone (4a) is perhaps the only phone out there that can not only match the head turning ability of the Vivo S2 but also outgun it in specs (it runs on the very good Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip).

That said, it has a much smaller battery and no charger in the box, and also has a slightly higher price tag!

Samsung has introduced its latest 200MP ISOCELL HPC smartphone camera sensor with several improvements focused on HDR photography, zoom performance, low-light imaging, and video recording. The new sensor features Samsung’s first DeepPix pixel architecture, which is designed to capture more light and deliver better overall image quality.

Samsung ISOCELL HPC Gets DeepPix Technology

The new ISOCELL HPC is based on Samsung’s ISOCELL technology but debuts the company’s new DeepPix architecture. According to Samsung, the new pixel design increases the Full Well Capacity (FWC) by 60 percent over the previous generation. This is achieved through Front Deep Trench Isolation (FDTI) technology, which expands both the photodiode capacity and the shared floating diffusion.

As a result, the sensor is able to collect more light while reducing image noise, producing brighter highlights, deeper shadows, and a wider dynamic range in HDR images.

Samsung says the ISOCELL HPC also supports single-frame 16-bit HDR, enabling up to four times richer color expression compared to conventional HDR imaging. Instead of combining multiple exposures, the sensor captures HDR information in a single frame, helping preserve natural colours and fine details even in difficult lighting conditions such as bright sunlight or strong backlighting.

For video recording, the new sensor supports 8K video recording at 30fps and 4K video recording at up to 180fps. It can also record Full HD videos at up to 360fps without autofocus.

HDR Support Across Multiple Xoom Levels

One of the key highlights of the ISOCELL HPC is its HDR support across multiple in-sensor zoom levels. While many existing smartphone camera sensors limit HDR to certain zoom ranges, Samsung’s new sensor extends single-frame HDR support across 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, and 4x zoom levels.

The sensor also uses intelligent in-sensor downscaling to maintain image quality and dynamic range throughout the zoom range, offering more consistent results at different focal lengths.

Samsung ISOCELL HPC Specifications

The Samsung ISOCELL HPC features a 1/1.3-inch optical format with 0.6μm pixels and an effective resolution of 16,384 × 12,288 pixels. It comes equipped with Samsung’s Tetra²pixel colour filter, Super QPD autofocus, and Smart-ISO Pro HDR technology. The sensor supports RAW10, RAW12, RAW14, and RAW16 output formats.

Samsung has also added High Precision Microlens and High Transmittance ARL technologies, which help direct more light to each photodiode while reducing reflections. These technologies are expected to improve image clarity and colour accuracy across different lighting conditions.

As of now, it is unclear which device will be the first to feature the new 200MP ISOCELL HPC sensor.
