Vivo X500 Series Global Battery Details Leak; X500 and X500 Pro Max Expected in India Soon

Vivo has just announced the X500 series in China featuring three models, Vivo X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max. As announced, the X500 Pro Max and Vivo X500 are scheduled to go on sale in China on September 24, while the Vivo X500 Pro will be available from September 29. In the meantime, the brand has already started preparing to take the X500 series to global markets.

The latest information about the global versions of the X500 series comes from tipster Anvin on X. The tipster reveals the battery capacities of the upcoming global Vivo X500 series models.

Vivo X500 Series Global Versions’ Battery Sizes Emerge

According to EU energy efficiency labels for three Vivo smartphones shared by the tipster, the Vivo X500 Pro with model number V2621 will have a 6,305mAh rated battery, which is the same rated capacity as the Chinese model. Its typical battery capacity is expected to be 6,510mAh, matching the Chinese version.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max (V2610) is said to feature a 6,570mAh rated battery, while its typical capacity could be around 6,800mAh. Another model carrying the V2622 model number is listed with a 5,180mAh rated battery, with its typical capacity expected to be around 5,300mAh.

The identity of the V2622 model remains unclear. The IMEI database also identifies this device as the Vivo X500 Pro, creating some confusion around the global lineup. Earlier certification listings have revealed that the global Vivo X500 carries the V2619 model number.

Vivo X500 Series Chinese Models Have Larger Batteries

In China, however, the X500 Series models come with larger batteries.

The  Vivo X500 Pro has a 6,305mAh rated battery and 6,510mAh typical capacity. The Chinese Vivo X500 Pro Max comes with a much larger 7,800mAh rated battery and 8,000mAh typical capacity, while the standard Vivo X500 packs a 7,270mAh rated battery and 7,500mAh typical capacity.

This means the global X500 Pro Max could have a significantly smaller battery than its Chinese counterpart if the latest leak is accurate.

Vivo X500 Series Global Launch Expected Soon

Vivo has not officially announced its global launch plans yet but rumours suggest that the Vivo X500 and Vivo X500 Pro Max could launch in India around late October or early November.  The Vivo X500 Pro, meanwhile, is expected to remain exclusive to China.

The Vivo X500 series has already appeared in several certification and benchmark listings ahead of its global launch.

The Vivo X500 global variant was spotted on Geekbench with a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, 12GB RAM and Android 17. The Vivo X500 Pro Max global variant has also appeared on Geekbench with 12GB RAM and Android 17.

Both global variants have also appeared on the UAE TDRA certification platform, while X500 received TÜV certification and X500 Pro Max global received NBTC certification in Thailand and Indonesia’s SDPPI certification.
