Vivo WATCH GT 2 Specifications and Features: What to Expect
Although the tipster is yet to reveal the India-specific details, Vivo introduced the WATCH GT 2 in China last year alongside the Vivo X300 series. The specifications of the China version do offer a glimpse of what the smartwatch could bring to India.
The Vivo WATCH GT 2 features a 2.07-inch 2.5D curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 432 x 514 pixels. The smartwatch comes with an optical heart rate sensor, a blood oxygen sensor, an acceleration sensor, a gyroscope, a geomagnetic sensor, a Hall sensor and an ambient light sensor. It supports more than 100 sports modes along with a professional coach and guided courses.
The smartwatch also offers all-day heart rate monitoring, continuous blood oxygen tracking, sleep and stress monitoring, breathing exercises, menstrual cycle recording and noise detection. It runs Blue OS 3.0 and includes a DeepSeek-powered AI assistant in China.
For connectivity, the Vivo WATCH GT 2 supports Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou satellite systems and also has NFC for payments. The eSIM variant supports LTE connectivity, while both versions come with a speaker and microphone for voice calling.
The Bluetooth variant packs a 695mAh battery, while the eSIM model has a 595mAh battery. Vivo claims up to 33 days of usage for the Bluetooth version and up to eight days for the eSIM variant.
The smartwatch measures 47.54 x 40.19 x 10.97mm and weighs approximately 35.8g. In China, it is available in Blue, Space White, Black and Pink colour options.
As for pricing, the Vivo WATCH GT 2 was launched in China at CNY 499 (approximately ₹6,220) for the Bluetooth version and CNY 699 (approximately ₹8,710) for the eSIM variant.
Notably, these specs and prices are based on last year’s China launch and the India version could have some differences.
Vivo X500 Series India Launch Details
The Vivo WATCH GT 2 could arrive alongside the Vivo X500 series, which is also expected to launch in India soon. An earlier report suggested that the Vivo X500 series could make its India debut on November 25, 2026.
The Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max have also appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. Their listings suggest that Vivo is preparing all three models for the Indian market.
Moreover, pre-bookings for the Vivo X500 series have reportedly started at select retail stores in India.
However, Vivo has not officially confirmed the pre-booking details or announced the launch date. The November 25 launch timeline is also still a rumour and Vivo has yet to officially announce.
Vivo WATCH GT 2 Could Expand Vivo’s Device Ecosystem in India
The reported launch of the WATCH GT 2 alongside the X500 series could be linked to Vivo’s efforts to expand its product ecosystem in India. The brand already offers smartphones and other connected devices and bringing its smartwatch to the market could give consumers another option within its product lineup.
However, it remains to be seen whether the Indian version will retain the same specifications and features as the Chinese model. Key details such as India pricing, availability and colour options are still under wraps.
