Alleged Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro Global Variants Get IMDA Certification

0

Highlights

  • Two Xiaomi tablets with model numbers 26103RP65G and 2612CRPFFG have received IMDA certification in Singapore.
  • The 2612CRPFFG model is likely the global Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro, expected to mirror the Chinese variant with Snapdragon 8‑series chipset and 67W wired fast charging.
  • The standard Xiaomi Pad 9 may support 45W charging but Xiaomi has not officially confirmed details yet.

Xiaomi appears to be preparing to expand its upcoming tablet lineup to global markets with two new models now receiving regulatory approval in Singapore. The latest development also adds to earlier certification sightings and leaks surrounding Xiaomi’s next-generation devices. Here’s what we know so far.

Upcoming Xiaomi Tablets Certified By Singapore’s IMDA

Upcoming Xiaomi Tablets get IMDA certification.
Upcoming Xiaomi Tablets get IMDA certification.

According to a recent X post by tipster Anvin, Xiaomi devices carrying model numbers 26103RP65G and 2612CRPFFG have been certified by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

While the certification does not officially reveal the marketing names of the tablets, the two models are believed to be linked to the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 9 and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro.

Interestingly, the model number 2612CRPFFG has already appeared on the EEC certification database. Its marketing name was not revealed in that listing either. The latest IMDA sighting therefore provides another indication that Xiaomi could be preparing these tablets for launch outside China.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Global Variant Could Be Model 2612CRPFFG

The model number 2612CRPFFG is closely related to model 2612CRPFFC, which was previously spotted in China. The Chinese model received 3C certification with support for 67W wired fast charging.

The difference between the two model numbers is the final letter. The letter “C” is generally associated with Chinese variants, while “G” is commonly used for global versions. This suggests that the 2612CRPFFG could be the international version of the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro, although the certification has not officially confirmed the tablet’s name.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Specifications Tipped

Tipster Digital Chat Station had previously revealed that Xiaomi is developing two tablets for the Chinese market namely the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 8s Pro.

The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8-series chipset, although the exact processor has not been disclosed yet. The tablet’s Chinese variant carrying model number 2612CRPFFC has already been associated with 67W fast charging.

Since the newly certified 2612CRPFFG shares almost the same model number, it is possible that the global version could offer similar core hardware and charging capabilities.

The standard Xiaomi Pad 9 has previously been linked to the model number M656BA. Unlike the Pro model, it is expected to support 45W charging.

The IMDA certification suggests that Xiaomi could be moving closer to launching its upcoming tablets in international markets. However, the company has yet to officially confirm the names, specifications or launch timeline of the Xiaomi Pad 9 and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro.

The series is rumoured to debut in China in September followed by a global launch later this year.

While Vivo has yet to officially confirm the smartphones, multiple leaks have already revealed several details about the upcoming devices. The latest update to join the series of leaks is about the expected display sizes, chipsets and camera module designs of the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max. Unlike the standard model, the X500 Pro is said to feature a centrally positioned circular camera module on the rear.

The top-end Vivo X500 Pro Max could come with a significantly larger 6.85-inch display and the same Dimensity 9600 Pro 2nm chipset. It is also tipped to feature a circular rear camera module placed at the centre.

Vivo X500 Series – What We Know So Far?

The Vivo X500 Pro, on the other hand, has previously been tipped to feature a flat LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Its compact form factor is expected to position it between the standard X500 and the larger X500 Pro Max.

An engineering prototype of the smartphone is also said to have been tested with a BOE OLED panel featuring a new-generation light-emitting material.

On the photography front, previous leaks have suggested that the Vivo X500 Pro could carry a 50-megapixel LOFIC primary camera alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. A newer leak has also pointed towards a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with an 85mm focal length.

LOFIC technology is designed to improve dynamic range by retaining more detail in both bright highlights and dark areas, potentially resulting in more natural-looking images in high-contrast scenes. Some reports have also linked the main camera to Sony’s upcoming LYT-838 sensor.

The primary camera could be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The telephoto camera is tipped to offer an 85mm focal length and use a large 1/1.4-inch sensor. It could also support high-quality telephoto macro photography.

The iQOO Neo 11 Ultra is listed with MediaTek’s MT6993M chipset. Recent Geekbench information suggests that this could be a modified version of the Dimensity 9500. The tweaked chipset is reportedly different from the standard version because it has one fewer GPU core.

The smartphone is also expected to feature a huge 9,100mAh battery. Its support for 100W wired fast charging was previously confirmed through China’s 3C certification. However, the device is not expected to support wireless charging.

For photography, the iQOO Neo 11 Ultra is expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the rear. The system could consist of a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), accompanied by an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is tipped to carry a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

Other reported features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication and an X-axis linear motor for improved haptic feedback. The phone is also expected to offer an IP68 and IP69-rated body providing protection against dust and water.

iQOO Neo 11 Ultra – Availability and Launch

The China Telecom listing has also revealed that the phone will be available in five memory and storage configurations. The smartphone could be available with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB storage, and 16GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB storage.

The upcoming iQOO smartphone is expected to be offered in three colour options named Light White, Shadow Black and Wind Chaser.

The iQOO Neo 11 Ultra will officially launch in China on August 18, where it will be introduced alongside the iQOO Z11s. The company has not yet revealed whether the Neo 11 Ultra will be released in markets outside China.

More details including pricing and availability, should be announced at the upcoming launch event.

Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Geekbench Listing Reveals Tensor G6 Performance and Key Specifications

0

Highlights

  • Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Geekbench listing shows Tensor G6 scoring 2,112 on single-core and 5,196 on multi-core with modest gains over Tensor G5.
  • GPU test reveals PowerVR CXTP-48-1536 scoring 7,757, nearly 80% higher than Tensor G5’s GPU.
  • The Pixel 11 Pro XL highlights significant GPU improvements but limited CPU uplift.

Google is only a few days away from launching its Pixel 11 series and early benchmark results have now provided a glimpse at the performance of the company’s next-generation flagship chipset. The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL has appeared on Geekbench, giving us an early look at the Tensor G6 chip and its performance figures. Here’s more on what we know.

Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Geekbench Results

According to the Geekbench listing, the Pixel 11 Pro XL managed to score 2,112 points in the single-core test and 5,196 points in the multi-core test. When compared with the Tensor G5, these numbers do not indicate a significant performance improvement. However, it is worth noting that the final retail version of the smartphone could deliver better benchmark results.

The Geekbench entry also provides details about the Tensor G6‘s CPU configuration. The chipset is listed as a 7-core processor featuring two cores clocked at 2.65GHz, four cores running at 3.38GHz, and one core reaching a maximum clock speed of 4.11GHz. This configuration is consistent with earlier reports about Google’s upcoming chipset, so the core arrangement itself is not unexpected.

Interestingly, this is not the first time a 7-core Tensor processor has appeared on Geekbench. An earlier listing from February showed considerably lower performance with the chip recording 845 points in the single-core test and 2,657 points in the multi-core test. Since those results came from very early hardware, the low scores were not entirely surprising and were significantly below the performance expected from a current flagship chipset.

The latest Geekbench results represent a substantial improvement over that earlier listing. However, the new figures still do not point to any major performance gains when compared with the Tensor G5.

Pixel 11 Pro XL Geekbench Compute Test Reveals GPU Performance

Meanwhile, the PowerVR CXTP-48-1536 GPU powering the Pixel 11 Pro XL has also appeared on Geekbench Compute. The latest listing offers the first real indication of how Google’s new GPU hardware performs.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL was tested with 16GB of RAM and recorded a score of 7,757 points in the Geekbench Compute OpenGL test. The GPU was running at a clock speed of 1,286MHz during the benchmark.

The result represents a significant improvement over the GPU used in the previous-generation Tensor G5. The PowerVR DXT-48-1536 GPU inside the Pixel 10 scored 4,315 points in testing, meaning the new Tensor G6 GPU delivers nearly 80 percent higher performance in this particular Geekbench Compute test.

Google Pixel 11 Pro XL – What to Expect?

The Pixel 11 series is expected to launch in the coming days with the Pixel 11 Pro XL positioned as one of the top-end models in Google’s upcoming flagship lineup.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL is expected to be the larger version of the Pro model. It is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 2992 x 1344 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone could be offered with 12GB or 16GB RAM. It is also expected to pack a 5,115mAh battery and a 13-megapixel front camera.

iQOO 16T Could Get Upgraded Cooling System

The latest information from a Weibo tipster suggests that iQOO is testing the 16T with a combined liquid and air cooling system. This could be an upgrade over the cooling solution used by its predecessor and may help the phone manage heat more effectively during extended gaming or other demanding tasks.

However, there is currently no confirmation that the new cooling setup will translate into measurable performance improvements.

iQOO 16T to Retain 200MP camera

The iQOO 16T is reportedly being tested with a 200-megapixel primary camera. At the same time, the phone is said to skip a periscope telephoto camera, continuing the approach used by the previous-generation model.

Interestingly, iQOO is reportedly taking a different approach with the standard iQOO 16.

The company is said to have tested both 200-megapixel and 50-megapixel primary camera sensors before deciding to use the larger-sensor 50-megapixel option. This suggests that the camera configuration of the regular iQOO 16 has gone through multiple changes during development.

iQOO 16T – What Else We Know?

This is not the first time that details about the iQOO 16T have surfaced. A previous report claimed that the smartphone was already under development and would continue the large-display approach seen on its predecessor.

The earlier leaks have also provided some indication of what the iQOO 16T could offer. Apart from the 2K Samsung display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset and cooling fan, the latest information now points towards an additional liquid cooling component.

Details about the iQOO 16T remain limited at this stage. There is currently no information about its launch date, final chipset or battery capacity.

Since the predecessor iQOO 15T was only launched in May, the iQOO 16T could still be some time away from its official debut. More information about the phone is expected to emerge as development progresses.
