Design and Build Quality

The latest OnePlus Nord Buds 4 come in a compact square-shaped charging case. It is the perfect size and is easy to carry in your pocket without adding much bulk. The case features a clean, minimal design with the OnePlus logo on the front and a small LED indicator positioned below it to show the charging status. Around the back, you’ll find the USB Type-C charging port.

We had received the Astral Teal colour earbuds for this review and it stands out. The matte finish is good at avoiding fingerprint marks and the colour is complemented by tiny speckles giving the finish a unique look.

The earbuds themselves are made of plastic with a matte finish that matches the case. The material is not premium but the build feels solid and durable enough for regular use.

The earbuds fit securely and sit comfortably in the ears. We didn’t feel any discomfort even during long listening sessions both indoors and outdoors. The earbuds are rated IP55 for dust and water resistance, which offers protection against sweat and light rain. You can be worry free during workouts and outdoor use. However, it’s worth noting that the charging case does not carry an official IP rating.

Calling and Music Experience

Just like the predecessor, the new OnePlus Nord Buds 4 use a 12mm titanized dynamic driver. These decently deliver an enjoyable listening experience for everyday use. The sound feels loud and crisp with a signature audio that leans towards bass. If you enjoy punchy low-end, it has BassWave Enhancement algorithm to boost the bass further without having to rely solely on the equalizer.

The highs are clear enough to bring out vocals and instruments, while the mid-range performance is decent. We did feel at times that it could have been slightly richer for a more balanced sound.

OnePlus offers three preset EQ modes, Balanced, Serenade, and Bass. These suit different listening preferences and in case none of these match your taste, you can create a custom EQ profile through the companion Hey Melody app.

The optical wear detection sensor is another useful addition and it automatically pauses playback when you remove an earbud and resumes it once you wear it again. During our use, the feature worked every time and added convenience to the music listing experience.

OnePlus Nord Buds 4 offer Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) of up to 52dB across a wide 5,000Hz frequency range. Users can choose between Mild, Moderate, and High ANC modes depending on their surroundings. In our real world usage, the ANC was effective in reducing ambient sounds such as office chatter, air conditioners, and traffic noise. It definitely helps in making it easier to focus on your music or podcasts when your are outdoors or in a crowded place. The Transparency mode is also useful and allows outside sounds to pass through naturally.

Call quality is strong for the price segment. Earbuds use three ENC microphones each along with an AI-powered noise reduction algorithm to suppress background noise during calls. Whether you’re walking on a busy road or dealing with moderate wind, the earbuds do a good job of minimising traffic and wind noise. In our tests, voice remains clear to the person on the other end.

Gamers will appreciate the low-latency mode, which brings latency down to 47ms. This helps reduce audio delay while gaming and gaming feels a lot more responsive.

Connectivity and Control Experience

The Nord Buds 4 offer stable connectivity across Android and iOS devices. For connectivity, there is Bluetooth 6.1 with both AAC and SBC audio codecs. The earbuds also support Google’s Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair feature on compatible smartphones, which makes the initial connection quicker.

We found pairing especially seamless with OnePlus smartphones. All you have to do is simply enable Bluetooth on your OnePlus phone and open the charging case near the device. If you’re using any other brand smartphone or another device, even then the pairing process is just as simple. You can open the lid of the charging case with buds placed inside, press and hold the setup button for around two seconds and select OnePlus Nord Buds 4 from the list of available devices.

It has dual-device connectivity, so you can keep earbuds connected to two devices simultaneously.

When it comes to controls, OnePlus offers a good level of customisation. Those using other Android phones or an iPhone can access the same options through the HeyMelody app. The app allows to remap gestures and tweak various earbud settings according to their preferences.

Battery and Charging

Nord Buds 4 pack a 62mAh battery in each earbud and we managed to get between 9 to 10 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC turned off. If you use ANC, the battery life drops quite a bit though. However, you can still get around 5 to 6 hours easily with ANC, which should be decent back up for commuting hours outdoors and casual listening.

The charging case comes with a 530mAh battery and extends the total claimed playback time to up to 54 hours with ANC disabled. With noise cancellation enabled, the combined battery life is rated at up to 27 hours. During everyday mindful use, the earbuds can comfortably last for days before you need to recharge the case.

Verdict – Should You Buy OnePlus Nord Buds 4?

OnePlus Nord Buds 4 has a good balance between features, performance, and battery life that makes them a solid option in the budget TWS segment. They offer a comfortable fit, loud audio with punchy bass, effective ANC, good call quality and excellent battery backup. However, the mid-range audio could be more detailed and the charging case misses out on an IP rating. But we do feel that these are minor compromises considering everything else on offer.

All in all, if you’re looking for a pair of wireless earbuds that deliver dependable everyday performance, we will easily recommend OnePlus Nord Buds 4 as they definitely offer good value for money.

Nothing has officially unveiled the design of the upcoming Nothing Phone (4b) ahead of its India launch. After previously confirming the launch date, the company has now shared the first official look at the smartphone showing some of the key elements. Here’s more on that.

Nothing Phone (4b) Design Officially Revealed

The Phone (4b) continues Nothing’s signature transparent design approach while introducing a few notable changes that help create its own identity within the series.

Official images and a video teaser post on X show that the Nothing Phone (4b) draws inspiration from both the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. The smartphone retains the brand’s recognisable transparent aesthetic though the transparent treatment is limited to the upper section surrounding the camera module similar to what was seen on the Phone (4a) Pro.

The lower portion of the rear panel adopts a cleaner and more minimal appearance resulting in a simpler overall design compared to some previous Nothing smartphones.

Another notable feature is the Glyph Bar, which first debuted on the Phone (4a). Unlike older Nothing devices that featured the larger Glyph Interface, the Phone (4b) uses a more compact implementation. Phone (4b) come with a Glyph Bar featuring five large LED lights compared to the seven LEDs found on earlier implementations.

The LED system is expected to continue offering visual notifications for incoming calls and messages, while also assisting users during photography by functioning as a camera timer indicator.

According to the company, the Phone (4b) has been designed with younger users in mind. Nothing says the handset combines a refined unibody construction with improved structural durability and a skin-friendly finish to enhance comfort during everyday use.

The official renders showcase the device in a blue colour option. However, leaks suggest that black and white variants may also be available at launch.

The smartphone features a flat plastic frame, black physical buttons, and a display surrounded by relatively slim bezels.

Nothing Phone (4b) – Chipset, Specs and Other Expected Details

Nothing has not yet officially disclosed the hardware specifications of the Phone (4b). However, a recent Geekbench listing suggests that the device could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor paired with 8GB of RAM.

The listing also indicates that the smartphone will run Android 16 out of the box. In benchmark testing, the device reportedly achieved 1,088 points in the single-core test and 3,155 points in the multi-core test suggesting performance aimed at the premium mid-range segment.

According to information shared by tipster Yogesh Brar, the Nothing Phone (4b) is expected to arrive in three colour options and two storage configurations. Buyers may be able to choose between an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model.

Reports also suggest that the smartphone could feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, the handset is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, although details regarding the secondary camera remain unknown. The phone is also tipped to pack a 5,400mAh battery.

The Nothing Phone (4b) is expected to be positioned below the Nothing Phone (4a), which starts at Rs. 37,999. Based on current leaks, the upcoming device could be priced around Rs. 30,000.

Nothing is expected to reveal complete details regarding the smartphone’s specifications, pricing, and availability during its official launch event scheduled to take place on July 7.

With its transparent design, Glyph Bar lighting system, AMOLED display, and Snapdragon chipset, the Nothing Phone (4b) will enter the premium mid-range smartphone segment.

Amid reports of multiple launches lined up, it seems iQOO is shifting gears towards the next-generation iQOO Neo 12. The phone is anticipated to arrive later this year alongside the iQOO 16.

A new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station has now revealed key details about the upcoming performance focused smartphone including its display, processor, battery, and other key features. Here’s what we know so far.

iQOO Neo 12 – Key Specs Surface Online

According to DCS’s latest post on Weibo, the iQOO Neo 12 is currently being tested with a 6.83-inch flat display featuring a 2K resolution. The panel is said to offer a minimum refresh rate of 165Hz, making it one of the highest refresh rate displays expected in a smartphone.

DCS’s post on Weibo. (Screenshot by Gizmochina

Tipster claims that iQOO is reportedly also evaluating a 185Hz refresh rate mode for the device. If implemented, the Neo 12 could offer an even smoother visual experience particularly for gaming and high frame rate content.

The smartphone is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which previously powered flagship devices last year. Other than the flagship chipset, the Neo 12 is expected to feature a dedicated display chip. This additional hardware could help improve gaming performance, graphics rendering, frame stability, and overall display responsiveness.

According to the leak, the engineering prototype currently being tested packs a battery capacity beginning with the number “9.” This simply means that battery capacity could exceed 9,000mAh. The report further claims that iQOO is also evaluating an even larger battery option while continuing to support 100W fast charging technology.

If these details prove accurate, the Neo 12 could become one of the smartphones with the largest battery capacities in its segment while still offering flagship-level charging speeds.

Apart from the display and battery upgrades, the smartphone is also expected to feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for secure authentication. The leak further suggests that the device could offer a high-level water resistance rating although the exact IP certification has not yet been disclosed

Expected Launch Timeline and Other Details

iQOO is reportedly working on several flagship smartphones for the Chinese market this year. The company is expected to introduce the Dimensity 9500 powered iQOO Neo 11S next month.

Meanwhile, the latest leak on Neo 12 does not mention a specific launch date. However, reports indicate that iQOO could unveil the Neo 12 in October this year.

Anyhow, details regarding other specifications including camera hardware remain unknown at this stage. However, considering the Neo series’ focus on performance rather than photography, the upcoming handset could follow a similar camera setup to its predecessor.

The new sensor comes with advanced logic circuits designed for lower power consumption, along with an optimised analog-to-digital (AD) conversion circuit that enables high-speed data processing through increased parallelisation. This allows the sensor to achieve twice the readout speed compared to Sony’s conventional 1/2-type sensor, enabling improved video capabilities.

The enhanced performance supports 4K 120fps video recording for the first time on Sony’s sensor of the same size, allowing users to capture smooth footage of fast-moving subjects and create high-quality slow-motion videos.

The sensor also supports 4K 60fps HDR video recording, making it suitable for capturing scenes with challenging lighting conditions and high contrast. These advancements help deliver a more consistent imaging experience across multi-camera smartphone systems by reducing differences in image quality and appearance when switching between main and telephoto cameras.

Sony LYTIA 610 Availability

Sony has confirmed that mass production shipments of the LYTIA 610 will begin by the end of June 2026. The new sensor is expected to power upcoming flagship and premium smartphone telephoto cameras, bringing improved image quality, faster autofocus, and advanced high-frame-rate video recording.

According to the recent Weibo post by tipster DCS, Oppo is currently testing its upcoming flagship devices with a 6.89-inch display offering approximately 2K resolution and LTPO technology. The leak suggests that both the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max and the Oppo Find X10 Ultra will feature this same panel.

The display is said to incorporate Oppo’s signature large-radius corner design and a new ultra-narrow symmetrical bezel packaging technology aimed at reducing the thickness of the bezels around the screen. The panel is also tipped to support the BT.2020 colour gamut and use a new-generation display material that could further enhance image quality and efficiency.

The tipster further claims that BOE is supplying the displays used in the current engineering prototypes. However, as with all early leaks, these details remain unofficial until confirmed by Oppo.

Notably, multiple reports have hinted that Oppo Find X10 Ultra is expected to launch in the first half of 2027.

Although the Find X10 Pro Max and Find X10 Ultra are tipped to share the same display technology, the two smartphones could differ significantly in terms of processing hardware.

Reports indicate that the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max may be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9600-series processor. The higher-end Oppo Find X10 Ultra, on the other hand, is expected to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.

The setup is expected to be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that could utilise a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. In addition, the device is said to include a 3-megapixel multispectral sensor as part of its camera system.

Oppo Find X10 Ultra Could Offer Dual Periscope Cameras

While detailed camera specifications for the Oppo Find X10 Ultra have yet to emerge, previous leaks suggest that it could stand out as the only model in the lineup to feature dual periscope telephoto cameras.

Another recent report also claimed that the smartphone may be equipped with Samsung’s new HPA 200-megapixel primary camera sensor.
