Vodafone Idea, furthermore, announced that initially, the Vi Games will have casual gaming content and later include the ability to host social gaming and esports events.

Vi Games Plans

Vi Games will be available as part of a subscription system, which are divided into three categories:

  1. Gold tier
  2. Platinum tier
  3. Free-to-play

The Gold tier will be available through a Gold Pass that offers the most extensive gaming library with 30 games at Rs 50 for postpaid subscribers and Rs 56 for prepaid users, valid for 30 days.

The Platinum tier provides a pay per download basis via a Platinum Pass that is priced at Rs 25 to the postpaid users and Rs 26 to the prepaid users.

Lastly, the Free-to-Play tier includes over 250 free games on the app. Vi Games, according to the company, will offer over 250 free games with no charges or in-game purchases.

In addition, postpaid subscribers who choose a plan worth Rs 499 or above will receive five free gold games every month, according to the company.

Vodafone Idea’s new gaming service intends to boost average revenue per user (ARPU) in order to compete with Jio and Airtel’s telecom market domination.
