Google’s latest report shows that more than 60% of content on the internet is duplicate. How can Google check duplicate content?

Google has been using similar methods for detecting duplicate content for many years. In the year 2013, Matt Cutts, a software engineer published an official google video describing how google will detect duplicate content. Google has many different algorithms which they use for plagiarism check and algorithms will be able to reduce any page ranking in the search engines. The video starts by stating that the internet is full of duplicate content and it is quite normal.

If your content is duplicate with word-for-word copied content, you could face manual action from google for deceiving its users. From users point of view, if they are searching for a particular page and not finding relevant details may make them really frustrated.
