Samsung could reportedly introduce major changes to its next-generation Galaxy S lineup. A new report from a South Korean blogger named Naver has now revealed fresh information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra. The report also suggests that Samsung may add a new Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro model to the series. Here’s more on that.
According to the tipster, Samsung is said to be developing a Galaxy S27 Pro variant targeted at users who prefer a compact flagship smartphone without sacrificing flagship-level performance. The device is expected to feature a display measuring around 6.4 inches making it smaller than the company’s Ultra-branded models.
The leak further claims that the Galaxy S27 Pro could arrive with upgraded camera sensors, a larger battery and a slimmer overall body design.
However, the tipster also noted that Samsung’s final plans for the device may still change during development.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is also tipped to receive some major upgrades compared to current Ultra models. According to the leak, Samsung may finally redesign the rear camera layout while also introducing updated physical camera sensors.
A recent report had already suggested that Samsung could remove the dedicated 3x telephoto lens from the Galaxy S27 Ultra. If that happens, the phone may adopt a triple rear camera setup instead. This could reportedly allow Samsung to introduce a new horizontal camera bar design on the back panel.
The latest leak further states that the Galaxy S27 Ultra may feature a larger battery while also becoming lighter in weight while the overall thickness may remain close to existing Ultra models.
The tipster also claims that Samsung could continue using similar display materials on the Galaxy S27 Ultra due to manufacturing and production costs. Instead of introducing completely new display panel technology, some improvements may reportedly focus more on software based optimisations.
Notably, these details are currently based on early-stage leaks and things could change as development of the models moves forward.
