Oppo is reportedly working on the launch of its next-generation Find X10 series smartphones. In the meantime, Fresh leaks have now revealed new camera related details about the upcoming Oppo Find X10 Ultra. The Find X10 lineup is expected to include the Find X10, Find X10 Pro, and Find X10 Pro Max with the brand likely to unveil these models in China later this year. The Find X10 Ultra, however, is tipped to arrive separately in the first half of 2027.
Ahead of its expected launch, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared details about what could be the flagship phone’s primary camera setup.
According to the tipster’s recent post on Weibo, Oppo is currently testing a new 200-megapixel primary camera sensor with a 1/1.12-inch size and LOFIC technology. The tipster later clarified in the comments section that this particular sensor will reportedly remain exclusive to the Find X10 Ultra.
LOFIC, short for Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor, is a camera sensor technology aimed at improving dynamic range. It helps cameras capture better highlight and shadow details especially in difficult lighting environments. Earlier this year, the same tipster had claimed that this next-generation sensor could make its debut around 2027 on an Ultra-branded flagship smartphone.
Apart from the main camera, the leak also suggests that Oppo is testing multiple advanced imaging technologies for the alleged Find X10 Ultra. One of the most notable additions is said to be a customised 100-megapixel front camera featuring a 1:1 square sensor.
The report suggests that such a selfie sensor could allow users to capture a larger image area making it easier to crop photos and videos into different social media formats without a major loss in detail.
Traditional selfie cameras are usually designed mainly for vertical shooting, which often requires users to rotate the smartphone while recording wider selfie videos or taking group shots. A square 1:1 sensor could help solve this issue by capturing a wider usable frame in a single shot.
Under the hood, the flagship device is expected to run on Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor.
As for the rest of the hardware, the Oppo Find X10 Ultra is tipped to feature a 6.89-inch 2K LTPO OLED display and pack a battery larger than 7,000mAh.
